I chose this name because his markings sort of look like fire and Kais spend part of their time in water. Fire and water are opposites, so I thought I'd choose a name that meant opposite. 'Contra' is Latin for opposite or against, but that sounded more like a girl's name, so I swapped the 'a' at the end for an 'o'.

Contro is a mainly introverted little guy with a strong desire for knowledge. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, so he always wants to improve his intelligence and learn more about the world. He's slow to understand new concepts and has difficulty understanding things most others already know. Though not super bright, he is generally a good guy and means well. He likes people, but he recharges by being alone and is only talkative when he warms up to you. He is doggedly loyal to the people he loves, though he tends to take on the role of a "filler friend". Honestly, he'd much rather just sit and listen to a conversation than participate in it. Seeing others having fun makes him happy. He can be a bit awkward when he does talk and tends to accidentally say the wrong thing or make a situation awkward. He's very agreeable and is always the first to offer a helping- uh- flipper. Contro despises unnecessary fighting, but he's always too scared to step in. He's skilled at moving forward with his life and overcoming adversity when things go wrong, always remaining optimistic. Contro loves to collect shells, stashing his collection in a small undersea cave. Though he will eat anything, he has a taste for salmon, tuna, and other meaty fish, which he'd much rather eat over lobsters or crabs. He also has a short attention span and is easily distracted. He is also easily entertained. He could be satisfied just sitting there watching a crab scuttle along the bottom for hours. Contro likes bright, open spaces and vivid colors. He hates dark, dreary, enclosed spaces like caves. He tends to drift about aimlessly a lot, just observing the world around him. Ridge-back Reef is his favorite place to hang around and watch the brightly colored fish dart around. He is deathly afraid of sharks. When stressed out or scared, Contro can act ridiculously paranoid, jumpy, and snappy. He normally seeks protection from other Kai and always sticks close to the group unless he needs some time to himself.
