He is named after the sled dog, from the Race to Nome. The reason why the Iditarod was started. This dog in my eyes seems a bit underappreciated due to Balto taking the thunder, for finding the team when they got lost in the blizzard. Even though this dog did a lot of the work.
So I decided to name him Togo, after the dog who led Leonhard Seppala dog sled team.
