Interesting Fact: The leopard complex is actually a very old gene. It has been identified in bone fragments of ancient domestic horses in Europe from as far back as 2700 years ago. (X) It has even been found in bones from what were assumed to be wild horses, which is interesting because nearly, if not all, horses which are homozygous for the Leopard Complex gene (Lp) are night-blind, which is a pretty considerable disadvantage for a prey animal like a horse.

The appaloosa genes are weird, man. o_o

Interesting Fact: If an appaloosa horse is homozygous for the leopard complex gene, they are at risk for congenital stationary Night Blindness, making it nearly (if not entirely) impossible for the horse to see in relatively low light.

Congratulations Bentley!
My appy gelding is a possible candidate for this. ;v;
Enjoy your stallion~

And oh, no! Hopefully he won't have it to bad, if at all!
