When I was very little my family were quite
poor. They were always saying how they
wished they could give me more, but never
could, and my father felt particularly guilty.
Him and my mom argued sometimes because
his job wasn't good enough, but they loved
each other really, and still do. Now, I feel
as though I must collect each coin, treasure
it, because it would mean so much more to
someone else than it ever could to me now

Why?: Airgead loves shinies. The way the light catches them, the way they clink, the way they feel when he buries his muzzle in them. And they smell so...different! Every single one has a different smell, a different story. He likes that too. His favourites are the small ones, the tiny shinies that he can carry around in a little box. Airgead would love to have every shiny in the world - hopefully that's not too lofty a goal.

Why?: He collects coins because he is almost like a raccoon. He LOVES shiny objects and whenever he sights one he wants to pick it up. He tells others "I just really like shiny things" but really... he's secretly a leprechaun Belldany.

Why?: It started when Emrys was a child, and he heard the saying, "find a penny pick it up, and all day long you'll have good luck." He started quite the collection of pennies, old, new, shiny, and grimy. He refused to give any of the pennies up for any reason, claiming that if he did, his luck would disappear. He started placing his meager collection inside an old pot he found left at an abandoned campsite, despite the fact that said pot was black with age. This child-like obsession stayed with him as he grew older, eventually turning into a sort of personal superstition. If he found a coin - any coin, not just a penny now - he would have to pick it up for luck. And, the harder the coin was to find, the more luck it would bring. Thus, Emrys' coin collecting "hobby," as he would call it, emerged (It has turned into an obsession, although he'd never admit to it).
