Shay Mai is one hell of a worker. She's a special kind of mako, the kind who comes to ones aid in a time of dire need. But to be honest, she's nothing without Leah. Leah is her partner in no, not crime. The opposite actually. Leah and Shay are in search and rescue, with Leah being her K-9 companion.

Shay and Leah are inseparable, and together they're near unstoppable.

When not working though, Shay is known to be nice on more than one occasion. Though sometimes, she can be a bit headstrong and possessive of people and things. She's working on it though. She has quirks such as spacing out when thinking to much, and is a little obsessed in researching why criminals kidnap victims (Y'know, cause she always has to go after not only kiddies who wander off, but makos who just go missing for one reason or another. It's somewhat fascinating to get a glimpse in their brains)

| Xiu is terrified of darkness due to an |
| event when she was younger. |
| Xiu was home with one of her dear |
| childhood friends when the power |
| went out from her home. This caused |
| panic within the pair. Her parents |
| simply pushed Xiu away, not even |
| with a calming word. This made Xiu |
| believe her parents didn't care. Its |
| a small reason to be scared but it |
| really bothered her and she refuses |
| to be left in the darkness. |

| Xiu has got a natural fear of stars, |
| Believing that they are involved |
| with dead Makos. With stories of |
| zombies and such, this has lead her |
| to believe that when the world is ending |
| that the stars will come back to life |
| and take over the world, killing people. |
| Xiu's mind is over active, being the |
| cause behind her insane logic of the |
| end of the world. She has even started |
| writing her explanation out and |
| is attempting to make other scared |
| with her theory, which tends to annoy |
| other Makos, mainly parents of the kids |
| she makes scared of stars.

| Xiu has seperation anxiety, which |
| makes her scared of everyone |
| leaving her alone, leaving her |
| alone and will often have an attack|
| if she is left alone for any longer |
|than a set amount of time. Her |
| anxiety started after she was left |
| alone at a shopping center where |
| someone attacked her, leaving her|
| very scared of being without a |
| companion by her side. |
