Why Do You Want Him?:
Well to begin with, practically the same reason everyone else does,
he's bonny and his stubby ears add to the whole cute factor. Hehe.
On a more personal level, one of my characters need a new mount,
and it was probably the beard that did it for me, as my character
has a habit of braiding things together when he's nervous, instead
of voicing his discomfort. And well, that beard would look even
better with a few braids. My character was also recently
declared a Lionheart, and thus obviously needs a mount to fit
the bill.
What Will You Do With Him?:
Mainly writing and art, he'll appear in most of my roleplays as his
owner is my main focus. Within the PR community I'll probably steal
one breeding for myself and then everyone else can have at it.
He'd make cute youngin's.

Name: Kine of Araw, often abbreviated to 'Kine' or 'Araw'.
Although he and his owner prefer 'Araw.' His name is quite
foreign where he resides however, so it is often
mistaken as 'King of Arrows.' Leaving many people
referring to him as Arrow.
Meaning and how it was earned: Araw was born wild, his herd
residing on the borders of a small cattle village in Talath Harroch.
Here many of the Kine are domesticated and used by the
Rhovanion Northmen. As a colt his spots were not yet prominent,
the white often bleached brighter by the sun, leaving his rear the
same white as the bovine's hide, he was mistaken for one of their
cattle and herded along with them. Once he was noticed, he was
granted the name Kine of Araw and gifted to the cattlemans' son.

Why Do You Want Him?;;
Truthfully, I adore his unusual amount of scruff. His ears, chin, the extra fluffy legs... he looks like a plushy almost, and I love it. And truthfully, I've been looking for a companion for my beloved Oliver. I will further explain in the next section.
What Will You Do With Him?;;
As I mentioned before, I've been looking for the ideal companion for my baby boy, Oli. He's the most tame of all of my Rangers, and he is my only gelding. Out of all of my Rangers, he's also the only homosexual one, and I've been hoping to find him an in-herd love interest. Since Oli is small and cute, I wanted someone who's quite the opposite; strong, masculine, but still attractive. Thus Aleksei comes into play. I don't plan to make him homosexual, but I do want him to become Oli's protector, if you will. Someone who will be Oliver's best friend, and platonic lover. I imagine their relationship being very cute, with Aleksei being the strong silent-type who's constantly watching over his bubbly friend, Oli, and protecting him.
Aside from that, I plan to keep him as another "tame" Ranger, and love him just as I do all of my others.

Tidbits;;
As previously stated, Aleksei's name is Russian. While Rangers are typically found in the wilderness of North America, it has been found that people have transferred these interesting equines to other regions, in order to see how they adapt. Aleksei's band was brought into Russia, where they were kept under constant watch within their thirty-acre enclosure. The cold weather of Russia caused these equines to adapt with shaggier, thicker coats, and eventually became hardy enough to withstand the near-freezing temperatures.
Thus, Aleksei grew up around the Russian language, and has a deep accent. Sometimes, it's quite difficult to understand him, as he gets his words jumbled up and eventually gets too annoyed with trying to relay a certain meesage. He prefers not to speak, as he does not want to deal with the frustrations of conversation. Often times he hears, "What was that?" or "Wait, could you say that again?" Things of that nature. And he doesn't enjoy repeating himself or enunciating, so he's learned to pretty much keep quiet unless absolutely necessary.
**Yes, he grew up in Russia, but he now lives in North America.

Personality;;
Living up to his name as a "defender", Aleksei often times finds himself the mediator in hostile situations. If two stallions are about to go at it, he'll typically step in the middle, and break up the fight. Or say, someone is picking on a more defenseless target. He'll gladly step in and kick some tail if he needs to. Alek believes he is a protector, sent here to help those in need and be their guardian.
Aleksei is not at all a violent stud unless absolutely necessary. Instead of using brute force, he prefers to use his large size as means of intimidation, and talk things out. And of course, having the thick Russian accent helps with the intimidation. The only time he will become physically violent is if someone is in serious danger. Again, he believes it's his duty to defend anyone in need.
Truthfully, the only time Alek really ever talks is when he needs to remedy a hostile situation. He doesn't like speaking much, and is often mistaken as a mute. Which, no, he is not. He finds it very difficult to speak clearly and relay messages across to others without having to repeat himself, so he simply chooses not to speak. You'll only ever hear his accent when he's trying to break up a fight, or he's amongst trusted friends.
Aside from being this "noble steed," he's typically a docile stallion, who simply sits off to the side and quietly observes others. The term "wallflower" would likely be correct, it he weren't so dang big and noticeable. Really, it's quite hard to ignore him.

Relationships;;
While he has no drastic issues with anyone in the herd, he feels an especially close tie with one particular equine. A young gelding by the name of Oliver, who wears a pink tail band. This stud is often teased for being a gelding by the herd leader, Tyrant, and occasionally put down for being "less of a man" by the lead mare, Solider. That's all. For being a gelding. For not being able to reproduce which he is completely fine with seeing his sexual preferences are what they are. But Aleksei noticed Oliver being the most picked on, and immediately intervened. Now Tyrant and Soldier are in no way push-overs, so he had to do some tail-kicking in order to keep them away from Oli.
When he stood up for the gelding, he was met with tears of appreciation and an overall grateful new friend. Of course, Aleksei was glad to have helped him, as he simply believed he was doing his job. But Oli had deemed this heroic action as the sign of a new friend, and in time, Alek found himself at the receiving end of Oliver's affection. The young male clung to the Russian like a moth to a flame. And at first, it was uncomfortable to the foreign equine, as he wasn't used to being cuddled or loved on so much. But eventually, he became used to it, and would only accept such affection from Oli. The two became good friends, and are nearly impossible to separate. If the gelding goes anywhere, the large Russian male is sure to be following close behind.
Aleksei has become Oli's bodyguard, and best friend. He's constantly watching over his friend and listening to him ramble on and on about who knows what. The boy loves to talk, and well, Alek is completely fine with listening. The two make a perfect pair, and truthfully, he wouldn't want things any other way. He loves Oliver, in the most innocent, friendliest form imaginable. It's a platonic love, and it's enough to make the "tough guy" smile and feel true happiness. There's no one he feels more comfortable speaking around, no one quite so understanding, and the two are, in fact, perfect for each other.

Why Do You Want Him?: He is an adorable Pintaloosa Ranger. I believe that he would make an amazing addition to my growing herd of Rangers. I mean just look at his slightly longer tail and his beard! Too cute!

What Will You Do With Him?: This stallion is the perfect stallion for my herd. I have been searching for a while to find the perfect stallion to be named lead stallion of my herd. I believe he would go perfect with my lead mare Mimosa and together they will create beautiful babies! (At least I think so!)
