A note: This form is heavily inspired by a song:
Bust Your Knee Caps. I'd recommend listening to it before reading further. If you can't that's fine, but I think it enhances the form. No swear words if your worried about that!

Username: Brûlée
Name: Dawn Allegro
Gender: Female
Who/what is most important to this plumerian?: The family.
it's such a shame
that you became
such an issue
oh dear jonny
i'll miss you
Extra information:Full name: Dawn Ellen Allegro
Age: 22
Occupation: Caporegime
Build: Strong, yet dainty looking.
The Family:Dawn was born to the Boss of the Maryland Mafia Family, located in Baltimore. Her father was open with her about what was going on, but made sure she knew she couldn't tell the others. Ever since she was little, she was intensely loyal to the 'family' that made up the gang, often begging to go help them. Her loose lips as a child got her into hot waters, as she would often let her families business slip out in conversation, although with age she was able to keep a secret.
As she got older, it was clear to most of the made men that Dawn was no idiot, she had all of the natural talents needed to be involved. She was a loan shark, offering money to her friends to buy whatever they wanted, and blackmail them into paying extremely high interest rates. She was an excellent liar, she was deceiving, and she wasn't afraid to break the law. Woman were starting to get more involved in mafia at this time, it was getting less and less far-fetched to think a girl could rise up the ranks.
Although with great caution, when she was sixteen her father allowed her to assist in extorting an older plumerian, and from that point onwards it was clear this was her calling. She seemed sweet like sugar, but quickly turned sour when she meant business.
The flower crown:You may be wondering why somebody involved with the mafia would wear blossoms in her hair, and the answer is very simple: It's just a front. After an offhand remark from a family member who said "Dawn, you look like a girl who'd want to pick flowers and have world peace, not somebody who'd want to bust open peoples heads. " This gave her the idea to take up a environmentalist persona in public, so whenever she was asked about her career she could simply say "My job is helping to restore the earth". In truth, she really doesn't care all that much about going green, but now she even wears it in her private life, just incase somebody were to bust in.
Personality:It's best to describe her personality in layers, instead of just one list of traits. How she appears to a stranger, how she appears to a family member, and the parts of her that nobody sees.
Layer 1
◆ Demure ◇ Hippieish ◆ Mindful ◇ Witty ◆ Boyish ◇
If you caught her on the street, all you'd think of her is that she was a polite, if a bit overly polite, young woman. Upon getting to know her she still remains very modest, almost shy. She'll often talk about nature and how 'important' it is to her. However, she has a small bit of a boyish charm to her, enough that she might want to drive remote control trucks, but not enough to drive a pick up truck. In the times that she does speak, she's very intelligent, always with an interesting thing to talk about.
Layer 2△ Cunning ▲ Smart △ Cute ▲ Assertive △ Talkative ▲ Mediator △ Loyal ▲
Once she's back home, Dawn drops the act of the 'polite young woman', and instead becomes her true self. This is the side of her who show's when crime needs to get done, using her ingenuity and sketchy moral standards to make business easier. As much as she tries to be respected, most of the Soldiers tend to think of her still as a young girl, adorable and a chatterbox. Despite all of the teasing she gets from the family, she still loves them, and would get in harms way for them if need be.
Layer 3▼ Hopeless Romantic ▽
As hard as she tries to ignore this aspect of herself, she can't, and her dreams are always haunted by it. Romance. Although her position in the mob always is the thing holding her back, especially considering how sourly her last relationship ended.

s o n n orKy.[Ky is owned by Tricksters.]It was in the spring, she was 19. By a lucky twist of fate, she met Ky at a public park. Although she had her 'lovely' facade up at first, his crude sense of humor started to break her down, and eventually they started to text. It was clear they clicked, she'd spend an increasing amount of her free time chatting him up. One thing lead to another, before she knew it Dawn was falling in love. By now Ky realized well enough she wasn't an environmentalist after all, but he had no idea of her real job. Tentatively, after getting some back up, she invited him over, to tell him the truth.
He wasn't exactly
thrilled with the idea, but when you're surrounded by members of the mob you don't exactly express that. He could never have been a 'made man' anyway, his bloodline wasn't italian, but a bit unwillingly he became an associate.
They kept dating, although the dates now included running rackets and then going go a movie. Ky never had to murder anybody, but he came close to having to. He started to get a bit more uncomfortable with the whole situation, he wanted out of the family.
Obviously this didn't go over to well. It can be assumed that breaking the heart of the daughter of a mafia boss isn't going to end well, and it didn't. She wasn't the person who was the captain of the mission, but she was there to backup an attempted murder on him. She knew where her loyalties were, and they weren't with him anymore. He ended up getting away, but was injured in the process.
Why she does it:You may be curious as to why she's in the mafia, why she didn't escape, why she does the crimes. It's easier to put it in her own words to explain why.
❝ The mafia is just a lot of family members protecting each other. We look out for each other, even if we have to hurt other people to do it. If one of us is hurt, we'll keep them safe. Ever since I was a baby I had so many people who loved me, who would safeguard me, who told me I was important. The government can't offer that, they never will. And if you want to be defended you have to help defend as well. La Cosa Nostra, baby. ❞

Notes:A bit of mafia jargon in case you're confused.
A 'made man' is somebody of full/half italian descent who is officially inducted into the mafia, if they have other ethnic backgrounds they can only be an associate, not a part of the family.
A solider is the lowest rank.
A Caporegime [dawn's positon] is below the boss and the underboss, but is still a high ranking positon, who handles a crew of soliders.
Rackets, or Racketeering is basically making a problem, then offering to solve the problem for money, in it's most basic form. Extortion [asking for money to be protected from the mafia] is a form of rackeetering.
Cosa Nostra is italian for 'our thing', which after a FBI wiretap became La Cosa Nostra [which is technically grammatically incorrect], and is used to refer to the Mafia.
The Maryland Mafia isn't a true thing anymore, there used to be the "Baltimore crew" based in Baltimore that was busted in the 90's. The fake one I made is one of the 'american mafia' variety, Cosa Nostra. Technically females aren't supposed to be allowed in the Mafia, but from my research I found that due to it's decline they are being allowed more often.
I tried to keep it as accurate as I could, although I'm sure I faltered in a few areas. I used the Wikipedia page as a starting point, and relistend to an old podcast from stuff you should know on the mafia as well.
Special thanks to Tricksters for allowing me to use Ky as the 'jonny' of the story, it was very helpful!
