The injury ruined any chance of a Triple Crown in 2006 and ended his racing career. After a surgery, he developed laminitis in his back left leg. Five operations later, he stayed in Intensive Care for months. His leg eventually healed, but he developed laminitis in his front two legs. In the end, he was put to sleep unfortunately after a conclusion by his owners.
