Valiant wings of flawless white sprang from his flesh with utter grace, stretching as far as they could reach. His eyes the color of a fierce ocean, his short, sand-blonde hair swishing with wind. His jaw clenched as he glared at the ram horned beast, its black irises and red pupils, the horrid sent of its raw, burnt skin, and baring of its yellow canines.
He stood his ground, on alert, attack mode at the level code red, the starting battle in the snow lane tundra of Alaska. The storm of black, ice drenched clouds gathered all the wind it could muster, the snow swirled and wrapped between the two rival beings.
With a swing of his clenched, white-knuckled fist, his silver sword flashed into his grasp. He lunged at the smirking demon that stood as a hindrance to his mission. He charged, sword swinging in a single, swift, slash at the death reeking monster. No more than a scratch to the arm on the its raw skin. The staggering speed of the demon was enough to make one sick.
The nails of the demon grew into blade-like claws, and quickly punctured the guardian's side. The quick pain shook through him before he left a deep gash along the monster's face. The growing aura of anger and madness spun around the demon, the blood of his wound had not dried but froze.
With a mighty flap of his wings, the guardian lifted high enough in the black sky, grasping his side for but a minute before plummeting, head first towards the demon. His wings tucked, blade out stretched, the clanking of metal on metal rang as he snarled at the glow of good clashing with evil. The demon laughed and glared at the guardian, his horn as his shield.
"Face it Axel," he said in a gruff tone, "two rivals assigned to the same mission ain't gonna cut it, someone's gonna die, and the survivor's gotta claim the prize."
Axel chuckled, not a word was spoken from his mouth, he plunged his feet into the scarred face of his opponent and pushed away. The demon tumbled to the ground almost off the edge of the cliff, his fury hot enough to boil the snow.
Axel landed not far off, his head facing down, eyes closed, he took a deep breath and spun his sword in his finger tips. The monster chuckled under his breath a smile across his face, his anger still above a thousand degrees.
The sound of paws creeping in the snow, the clanking of chain and a sled storming through the snow. Axel looked up his eyes flashed around as he looked through the rising blizzard. His gaze locked on her slay, the faint echo of her voice as her dog sled came down the slope of the hill. The demon chuckled as he glanced at the girl coming towards them.
Axel lunged at the monster, the quiet sound of his blade running through skin. A raspy sound of agony shot out, Axel's gaze immediately locked on the girl. The demon saw a chance and as swiftly and wind, he kicked Axel away onto the ground and rushed at the girl.
Axel's face filled with terror as he rushed for the demon, jumping at him and pushing him to the ground. His actions, late as the demon's far stretched arm pushed the sled in a fierce, full-force action.
The girl could feel her heart jump and stop a second as she had hit something. Nothing was in sight though, she looked forward again and gasped as the sled headed for the edge of the cliff. Her dogs all stopped but the sled swung around, slamming into something and she tumbled off the cliff edge screaming.
Axel, stood quickly his wings tucked as he free fell off the cliff, head first towards the girl as she prayed out, salty ice stuck to her face from her silvery grey eyes. Her dark brown pony tail flapped like a flag in the wind. Axel reached for her hand that was stretching to grasp the sky she was slipping from, his fingers reaching to grasp her own...
