Re: WME ~ Sooty Buckskin Breeding

Guys, chill out. If you would check the official thread, it states

Dapples are allowed but must be caused by sooty or grey genes

If there is a problem, horsy would have already dealt with it by now and if you have a question about it, ask Horsy.

Guys, sooty genes causes dapples in horses. In fact, sometimes dapples are found in horses over time. Or even sun dapples occur. Basically what I'm saying is technically the father could have dapples (or whoever has sooty)

And WME breedings don't occur a certain way. IceFire is the artist and she will breed them how she likes.

Also Dapples is a sign of a really really Healthy horse. An healthy coat. (: I kinda thought that was neat. Almost any horse can develop dapples. (I know this is equids)

Dapples are allowed for sooty genes. So its not incorrect to have dapples but in this case dapples would not be found. But as far as this design is concerned to change the dapples is a major overhaul of the design and not something I want to enforce. So the design will remain as is.

But technically dapples can appear on any horse. A few months back I saw a dapples palomino at a show. No sooty just slightly lighter dapples in the coat.

But this design isn't done the way I would have done it. I wouldn't have added dapples unless the parents had them but the design is not technically incorrect so it will remain as is.

But in other equids you cannot request dapples unless it is a grey gene or the parents have it when they are sooty.
