Nightmares
His feet pounded on the ground, his breath came out in gasps
Flint looked around the forest and wondered where he was at.
His heart exploded in his chest, his mind was in a buzz
With every step he took, he wondered where he was
The landscape changed before him, from forest to sand
This was getting confusing, it was getting out of hand
What was following him, Flint had no clue
But he had to get away, this was all he knew
Flint was slowing down, he couldn't hold out much longer
But with every footstep, the Danger was getting stronger
He could feel the Danger stretching out to him, its presence like ice
Flint looked back to it, and saw a creature as dark as the blackest of nights
He tripped and fell down a hill, head over tail
He didn't try to run again, he knew he would fail
"Ha ha little pseudo, I finally win."
Said the Danger, its eyes staring at him
Flint cowered, his heart beating fast
This was the end, he would not last
Flint scooted away, a chill spreading up his back
And The Danger descended, the world fading into black
Flint woke up, groggy but aware
That wasn't reality, it was just a nightmare
