Short story..:
"Jezabelle, it's time to go!" Mom shouted from downstairs as the morning kitchen bussel began to quiet down. Sighing softly I quickly shut my astronomer's diary and stuffed it beneath my pillow. "C-coming mom!" I called back, though not as loud. Before standing up, I did a quick spin on my swirly chair, giggling a little as my horn headband fell over my eyes. I was extremely excited, for today was the day I'd be able to see the stars fall tonight..the night of my birthday..

I looked up at the twinkling stars in the cloudless night-sky. The moon, a bright crescent. The meadow bathed in moonlight, and the flowers glowed as if they were stars themselves. When I saw these glowing flowers in the moonlight for the first time as a child, I thought that each flower contains the soul of someone who came down from the heavens to watch over the living. A soul that is connected to the stars, earth and all life. I am eighteen now, but when I lay here I still feel as if everything is connected, connected forever.
