occasionally log back on to search for references or old posts for character information, but not much more
i'm on toyhou.se @corrosive_limes if you want to credit me for a design / art that you have
my discord is also corrosive_limes if you really really need me for something

          Show Name: Bird's Eye View
          Barn Name: Atlas
          Gender: Stallion
          Height: 16.1hh
          Breed: Morgan
          Age: 7
Personality: Sometimes described as a 'bit of a fixer upper', Atlas can be a bit clueless, and hard to handle. He is fierce and full of power, but with the right handlers, his incredible personality can be fully unleashed. He has the right mindset for jumping, because he is determined and full of energy and spirit. He can get a bit fresh at times, so he is always being worked at least an hour a day. His rider Aria loves him to bits, and she looks forward to riding him every day. Out of her many performance horses, he is under the showjumping stable block, and he is one of Aria's favorite show jumpers.

He is very respondent and alert, and has very quick reflexes, making him a great showjumper, but also a great dressage horse, and he often attends dressage competitions, as they are just as important for his bright showjumping career. He can be full of fire though, and he needs a skillful rider to keep him controlled through the course.

          Extras

Art: Here My best piece ever <3 :0

Story: The rough lead rope grabbed at my hands as I led the excitable stallion to the cross ties. He tugged at the rope, dancing gracefully beside me. The owner watched as I tied him up, making sure the rope was secure. I grabbed a sea blue saddle blanket, and after a quick groom, I placed it carefully on his back, sliding it back into place. The stallion was alert and poised, interested in commotion in the arena. I grabbed the black jumping saddle and placed it on his back lightly. I unclipped him quickly, and slipped a 5-point breastplate over his neck. I clipped him back up and put the girth through the breastplate strap. Doing up the girth lightly, I then clipped on the other straps of the breastplate, but left the martingale part hanging. I did the girth up fully, then moved to the bridle. Atlas's owner had told me that he was bad with the bridle, so I had to put it on a different way. I put the reins over his head and put the headpiece of the bridle over his ears, the bit hanging over his chin. I did up the cavesson noseband and undid one of the cheek pieces, sliding the bit into his mouth and doing it back up again. I did up the flash noseband and threaded the reins through his martingale, getting ready to ride. I snapped my helmet on, and brought the excitable stallion to the mounting block. Time to try him out, and see if I want him.

The moment I was on his back I felt alive. He responded to the slightest touch, and a shift in my seat pushed him off into a walk. He was pure and full of power. His owner guided me through some basic flatwork, and we then began more complicated movements like a walk to canter. Atlas was alert, and he moved with grace and fluency. I shifted my seat, and grinned as he sat back and flew into a canter. It was as if each stride was a jump. He felt like a carousel horse, cantering with great impulsion and balance. I sat lightly in the saddle, keeping my contact soft as he worked, bearing most of his weight on his hindquarters like horses are meant to. He held his head in a frame, his head bobbing powerfully as he flew across the arena. I collected him again, and turned my attention to the jumps in the arena. There were 4 of them. 50 centimeters, 75 centimeters, 1 meter and 1 meter 50 centimeters. I gasped at the height of the last just. Practically impossible for most! I steered Atlas to the 50cm jump, collecting him before it. Atlas measured his stride carefully, but took no effort to jump over the decently sized jump. I grinned as he flew over it. He was like no other jumper I had ever ridden before. His strides her full of impulsion, but fast. His strides were never flat, and he never knocked a pole. I took him over the same jump many times, a huge smile on my face. A ride on this horse was mesmerizing, and you could become easily addicted.

I turned him swiftly to the 75 centimeter jump, shortening his stride as he thundered towards it. I braced myself as I rose up into 2 point, Atlas' shoulders rising below me as he cleared the jump effortlessly. I turned to the 1 meter jump, the height where it starts to become hard work. He jumped effortlessly, and it was like everything was in slow motion as he braced himself for landing. The world rushed up to meet us, as he landed with ease. I pulled him back to a walk, eyeing off the highest jump, which was 1.5m. I looked over to his owner, and they had an encouraging look in their eyes, urging me to jump it. I bit my lip as I pushed him into a canter, staying in two point as I turned to face the jump. It loomed ahead I sharply inhaled as Atlas flew over the jump. A bird's eye view. When we hit the ground again, I was overwhelmed with joy.

'I'll take him.' I said to the owner.
