    Sune (soon-eh)

Afrikan name for 'The sun' or in Norway, Name meaning 'My son'. When Sune was born in his village, his multicolored pelt reminded some of the elders of the Sun, hence the name Sune was placed upon him. Sune has always lived up to his name as well, always finding a way to play

Sune Ran as fast as possible through the Jungle almost tripping over himself, his breathing becoming ragged.
He tended to get on the more, bad side, of some dragons.
Particularly a dragon that lived near the mountains... He didn't mean to sometimes, most of the time it was an impulse. But this time he was in trouble... b i g trouble.
He heard the larger dragon inching closer, he knew they were different species, he stayed away from different species.....well he also stayed away from his own species....he wasn't usually sociable. But what possessed him today? oh man how should he know.... Sune eyed a body of water coming up in the distance, and he began to run a bit quicker, hearing the other dragon come closer on his heels. With a desprite dive he splashed into the water.
Holding his breath you looked up through the blurry surface, watching a blob of pale blue fur stride up to the water and glance around searching for him. The dragon chasing him was horse sized, with blue fur and jewels on the tips of it's tail and it's forehead. A different species from him that was suppose to be 'friendly' but this one wasn't.
Once the blue blob seemed to tire and wander off, The Pseudo resurfaced and took a gasp of air, filling up his lungs the best he could. 'Never again...' he mused, looking after the retreating back of that dragon sauntering back to his cave.
Sune heaved a sigh and clumsily stood up in the shallow water where he hid, his body slicker and his feathers now dripping with cool drops of water. The sun was touching the tip of the mountain, symbolizing the beginning of a sunset ending the day. Not wanting to go back to his mountain cave he flinched, afraid that the large furred dragon would be at the entrance waiting for him...
Sune didn't have a certain home, per say...he changed locations because of things like this happening...
And the places seemed to change the same way, some other creature chasing him out...
He didn't care at this point, but right now, he needed a new place for shelter, and he needed to find it quick. He shook the water off his body and ruffled his feathers, setting off in the opposite direction to find shelter to call his 'home'....or at least until something chases him out again.
Sune walked for a few hours, the sun slowly going down and the peeking of moonlight coming up from the other side. He briskly jumped over vines and bushes, his skin prickling....he didn't like the dark very much....and it was very close to nighttime....
Its been like this forever, since he was a child at least.. He grew up next to the big river in the center of this Jungle, the Amazon, within his own village. His mother and father cared for him until one day, it seemed that everything changed for the worst. He had a home, he had friends, he had a loving family and within one day it changed, his entire village gone...
It was humans, construction workers who were tearing down trees. The humans got too close and chopped down some of the trees that sheltered the small village. Unlike the nice scientists that discovered their sister village on the other side of the river,

story;
indentAndrew grew up in a small village of pseudodragons along the Amazon river in Peru. Their village was just outside a tribe of Peruvians at the base of the Andes mountains. It was a peaceful place, abundant with trees and tiny hot-spring pools could be found among the rocky terrain to provide humidity and warmth when the climate cooled down; unfortunately Andrew doesn't remember too much about this home. He was just a child when the conservationists came to their cluster and adopted all the pseudos for research and conservation purposes.
indentDeveloping through his adolescent years, he grew up in a stable, controlled environment at the research facilities. The environment was much like that within the Biosphere, but only conditioned to match the Amazonian climate of humid air, leafy plants and cool waters. This new place would become his home for the next five years.
indentThe atmosphere was comforting, and reminded him of home. The dirt was enriched with minerals, and healthy plants sprouted all around. The sunlight poured in through the ceiling, the whole place shaped much like a geometric sphere, with triangular glass panels and iron beams maintaining the barrier between the facility and the outside world. Researchers knew these creatures fairly well at the time of Andrew's abduction, and so they were well cared for. A wide stream flowed through the center of the habitat at a warm 83°, and it was littered with fish of all different sizes from the Amazon river itself. The air was kept humid, and moisture tended to collect on the walls during cool nights. The terrain rose and dipped, cliff faces in the south pressed clear up to the edge of the place. Within these cliffs lived tiny dragons, and among them was Andrew and his village. Leafy ferns and palms grew all around, and larger shadier trees were scattered about in groups of three to six per every fifteen square feet. Just like home. The only flaw, home was endless. The habitat these pseudodragons now called home was but the size of ¾ a football field. Granted, the area was still large and encompassed all the necessary requirements these pseudos needed, and even those unnecessary but would provide comfort, it still was nowhere near as large as the forest they used to call home, nor could it ever be.
indentNow, before you fear I've gone into too much depth of his former living spaces, I guarantee it was a necessary
    Image
inclusion to his home journey. At the age of 10, Andrew was removed from his habitat for his annual check-up and inspection. The doctors and researchers held this physical for every pseudodragon once a year to make sure the adaptation to the environment was a swell one, and that there were no injuries affecting the heath of the pseudo. Andrew passed his inspection every year with no difficulties, except for his third year when he sliced his arm on a thorny twig the previous evening. This inspection was like all the rest, and he passed with success. At the close of his inspection though, things went a bit differently. The doctors set him in a miniature replica of a small section of his habitat, and took his photograph. After they fed him a treat, and released him back into his home. Not long after the conservationists took the photo they had of Andrew, and uploaded it to their website. He was listed for adoption. Next to the photo they laid out his specs, and a starting price for his adoption. In the time span of thirty days, an assortment of people would click the link titled "Contact Us for Adoption" and send in their details such as home size, reptile care experience, if they have ever had experience with pseudodragons, what his living space will contain as well as an attached photo of his new habitat, and any other essential items needed to represent the best possible care Andrew would have. I was one of those applicants.
indentIn my form I listed all that was necessary to prove I could be the best owner of little Andrew. The basics were easy; my name is SplashofOrangeJuice, I live in the United States, the climate is warm, the air is humid, rainy seasons come and go, there are plenty of plants, and I have had experience with pseudodragns before, and I own a lovely little girl named Juno. I also have two other pets and a koi pond in my backyard; a charming cockatiel named Stevens, and a very mellow kitty-cat named Venus. Juno gets along fine with both of them, and so bringing another pseudo into the family
    Image
wouldn't be a problem at all. Andrew and Juno would have their own habitats, similar to their native environment. Heat lamps, water, rocky terrain and leafy plants inside their tanks, and their own burrows. Of course, they wouldn't be cooped up all day, and are free to roam around my home and in the yard. In my house a have several terrariums on the wall, and they are favorites of Juno's. I like to keep everything neat, so there isn't anything they would get injured by either. The walls are a light grey, tinted with hints of lilac and steel blue. There is a desk by the window near the kitchen, and it's where I do most of my work. I have a little dish towel on the corner of my desk where Juno and Andrew can rest if they would like. It's not a very large home, but it's good enough for all of us.
indentAfter 30 days had gone by, I was contacted by the facility. They liked my application, and wanted to do an inspection themselves. I agreed, and they were here two days later; and they brought Andrew along. This boy was even more beautiful in person. Right away they wanted to get started with the inspection, and monitoring his adaptation to the new environment.
indentWe began by letting him loose in his own tank, the living space mimicking his natural habitat. He took to it right away and began exploring the tank. He took a dip in the water, and tried a taste of the pseudo food I place in there earlier that morning. He crawled under leaves, and over the terrain until he found his den. A tiny squee came from him, a noise of excitement and pleasure I was more than comprehensive of as Juno constantly clicks and I've heard the same noise many times before. He popped his head out of the burrow, and climbed a large stick to the corner of the tank, where a wall hanging walkway began. I created it for Juno so she could get around easier, and I adapted it to extend to Andrew's tank as well. In some places the walkway was right up against the wall and held in place, in other areas it was still held in place but it was about an inch off the wall, and then from there swaying sections were created and hung from strings and nails further up the wall, to keep life more fun and interesting for them. Andrew stepped onto the walkway, and began his adventure around my home. His pace quickened once he got the hang of it, and it was hard to keep up with him. He stopped by the terrariums and seemed intrigued, but he kept going, and would come back to check them out later. The walkway lead down to my desk, and Juno was napping on the towel. He cautiously approached her, and she woke up after hearing his chirp. They became acquainted with one another by smell and touch, and Andrew left her to rest. Juno was excited at this point, and she followed him anyway. Around the kitchen and dinning room the two of them went, the scientists taking notes all the way and my stomach churning with nerves. At the entrance to the backyard a miniature locked doggy door blocked their way. I went over and unlatched their door, as well as ours, and right away Juno went to the koi pond. She was showing Andrew around at this point. They kept chirping and clicking at each other, and before we knew it the two of them dived in. Some of the koi were as large as they were, and I had to keep a close eye on Andrew because he blends in among them so well.
indentAfter five minutes, we took them out of the pond. Juno climbed onto my shoulder, and they put Andrew back into his carrying case. They had me show them around the rest of my home, to make sure it was pseudo proofed and safe. They had me sign a release form, and told me Andrew adapted well, and that he would be ready to move in in a weeks time. I was so excited!
My home was soon to be Andrew's new home as well, all that's left to do
    is wait for his return...

Far off, in a land virtually untouched by man, there is a sanctuary. A place of pure beauty, where nature is in perfect balance. There is a lake, in the center of it all. That lake called Juin'dar, is the life-blood of that sanctuary. In it live the purest creatures; those who uphold the balance. Around and throughout the lake, there are mangroves. Their roots wind around each other, creating a labyrinth of sorts for the creatures in the lake. In it, they never get lost. To the west, lies the Uhndren Mountains; the tallest peak being Tir'kida. Two slightly smaller peaks lie at it's right side. The middle peak is the smallest. To the east, there is a large flatland known as the Hindt Plains. Many different types of flowers grow there, and are prettiest in the spring. A large stone, with a smaller one on top mark the center of it. To the south is Ridna Marsh. Though it is teaming with life, some creatures fear it to be evil. A large black tree marks the eastern side of the marsh. To the north is Yurinia. A dense forest, very easy to get lost in. It seems as though the tree's grow on top of each other. When the leaves on the trees are full, it is nearly dark as night even during midday. Juin'dar is the home of creatures thought to possess magic. Many have tried and failed to take that supposed magic from them. Whether or not those creatures possess magic has never been confirmed. The tribe of men who vigorously protect the lake are the Ban'dhar people. Any unwelcome intruder will wish against wish that they had never even thought of setting foot there.

Name: Shilu

Writing:
Describe/write about where this pseudodragon lives.
Shilu has made his residence in a [fictional] abandoned castle, which is situated on the peak of a mountain in the South American country of Colombia. The castle, with its distinct European-influenced design, is believed to have been built by early European explorers.

xXx

The castle is situated in a clearing of a temperate woodland forest. A tall, thick stone wall made entirely of individual boulders surrounds it. Over the top of the wall, two flagpoles stand tall, unaware that their flags are long destroyed and the castle which they proudly mark is slowly being reclaimed by nature.

There appears to be no existing gate or entrance leading inside the compound, but a closer inspection reveals a pile of rubble, perhaps where a great and extravagant archway once stood, which is assembled into a stair formation. A small courtyard carpeted by vivid green grass welcomes visitors to the castle grounds, which are surprisingly well kept for a place left untouched for centuries. Running between the scattered oak trees and shrubs is a narrow, shallow stream which opens into a large lake towards the left side of the yard. The lake is not very wide, but surprisingly deep and near crystal clear. At the bottom of the lake there appears to be a tunnel, but where it leads is unknown.

A small marble bridge over the stream leads onto a stone path, completely covered by vegetation except for a small, well worn trail in the centre. A marble step almost 3 metres wide on the far end of the court yard marks the castle entrance. The building itself appears to be in relatively good condition, but it is all but a shell of its former self. The great wooden doors which once protected its inhabitants from the elements now lay rotting on their hinges, revealing an empty interior. The stone walls, plastered with white and purple lichen, support a partly shattered glass dome roof which is stained and spotted with age. A great wooden staircase on the far side of the room, which no doubt led to the numerous levels above, sits rotting and covered in moss and fungi.

The entire floor of the foyer has collapsed into what appears to be a cellar deep below, and a large fig tree now inhabits the entirety of the foyer interior. It had long ago established itself between the cracked tiles of the cellar, and burst through the floor, its branches reaching out to replace the staircase in providing a pathway to the windows and doors of the upper levels. Nothing remains of the castle ground floor, except for a small platform near the entrance which extends along to the trunk of the tree.

On the far side of the foyer room is a staircase which leads down to what was previously the dining hall. The entire hall is flooded and the water laps at the top of the steps. Interestingly, the water is remarkably clear and small fish can be seen swimming through the submerged hallways and rooms below.

xXx

Around 20 metres below the ground level lies the cellar. It is littered with rubble, rotting furniture and household items such as pots and plates. The thick roots of the tree wrap around the intricately carved supporting columns which somehow still support the entire structure of the castle. Thick layers of mud and moss blanket the vast majority of the area, which is damp, cool and scattered with small puddles. Toads and mice inhabit the cellar floor, scurrying in and out of rubble and fighting over moths which dart between the scarce sunlight which penetrates these depths.

xXx

Upon closer inspection of the base of the tree, it seems as though a ladder structure has been carved into its trunk. The sunlight illuminates the grooves which been scratched into the wood and they appear to lead up to the ground floor, and perhaps even beyond.

Shilu has made his main residence in a room hidden in the back of the castle. This room, which is significantly warmer and drier than the rest of the castle was originally the stable. After the castle was abandoned and flooded, the stable could only be accessed by swimming through one of the tunnels in the flooded room, or by swimming through the tunnel in the court yard lake, which was originally not a lake at all but a lowered road used to transport hay to and from the stable. Shilu rarely leaves the safety and sanctity of the castle grounds: He is provided with shelter, food and plenty of water and possesses no desire to explore beyond the walls.

xXx
