Equid's Name: Aphrodite
Why you chose that name: Aphrodite was the Greek goddess of love and fertility. She is said to be the most beautiful of all of the goddesses.
Age: 4 years
Gender: Mare
Height: 14.1 hh
Personality: You may refer to Aphrodite as the "silent beauty" type. She is intelligent, gentle, and not to mention beautiful, yet she hides is all under a mask of shyness.
Greatest Wish: When Aphrodite was a young foal, her mother told her many tales. Most of them were fantasy, such as the story of the Greek goddess in which her name was born. Yet one story that has yet to escape her mind is the story of Pegasus. Born from the blood of the terror known as Medusa, the great stallion was a legend from the start. He and his rider, Perseus, performed many valiant actions, although the most memorable was the rescue of Andromeda, a beautiful princess who was the victim of Poseidon’s weapon: a sea monster. Pegasus drove his master to the sea, where Perseus used the head of Medusa to turn the sea monster into stone. From there, Pegasus exploited his kindness and friendly disposition. He became a treasure among the gods and humans. In the end, Pegasus vowed to be a servant of the gods. At this point, Aphrodite’s mother turned the filly’s attention to the sky. Right above her head was the constellation of Pegasus, and below him was Perseus holding the head of Medusa. The sight amazed the little filly, enough to make her spring in glee, sort of like a gazelle. Ever since then, Aphrodite has held one wish. She wishes to soar like Pegasus. To feel the wind in her mane, to break the confinement of gravity. She wishes to fly like the birds above, to feel the clouds caress her legs. However, she also wishes for more. She wants to be known for her personality, just as the great white steed was. Aphrodite wants to be kind, and friendly. Outgoing, even. Yet she is blocked by the wall of her own fears, her own shyness. She will become an icon, just like the great stallion Pegasus was. Maybe she will even be immortalized in the stars, too. To others, it may just seem like a far-fetched fantasy. Yet Aphrodite wishes for nothing more than to achieve all of this, maybe even more. For now, she will just keep on hoping, praying even. And every night, she looks up to the stars, finds that one constellation. Then, she recites her wish again and again to the great steed himself. "I wish to one day be an equine like you, oh great Pegasus. I wish it more than anything.
