Equid name: Remo- Meaning 'The Strong One'
Age: 25 years
Gender: male
Height: 12hh
Wild or domestic: Wild, but he enjoys the company of domestic horses
Tell me his favorite story to tell: ( no longer than 600 words please)
The story that Remo tells others about constantly, until they are absolutely tired of hearing it, was the time that he killed a cougar with his own hooves back when he was younger. This story reminds him of when he was strong and full of spirit, unlike how he is now. It was a calm spring afternoon when Remo decided to take a small stroll with a few of his close friends. He was never much of a ladies man, so his friends were all male. His hooves pressed hard on the soft new grass as he trotted through the forest, his head high and alert for possible danger. His friends were silent, their heads low to the ground nervously. None of them liked to be this far away from their homes at the farm. Remo stopped suddenly and motioned with his tail for the others to do the same, hearing a slight rustle in the background. He told them to step back a little, and just as he did, the cougar leaped out of the bushes, it's teeth bared, ready to kill. Remo reared up and let out a call of warning to the others, watching them gallop away as quick as possible. He began to kick at the cougar's face hard with his hind hooves, sending it staggering backwards, but it wasn't enough to scare it off. The cougar latched onto Remo's back, his claws dug deep into his skin, but he quickly reared him off and began to crush it with his strong hooves, the cougar already too weak to fight back from the blow. The cougar lied there for a while, breathing heavily. Remo watched as the cougar died slowly, it's eyes beginning to cloud over and it's breathes getting more shallow. when the cougar finally died, he galloped away to find his friends, blood streaming down his sides. (313 words BTW)
Art:(Totally optional) I tried my absolute best with this, but...bear in mind that I currently have strep throat, so..this is the best I can do! I absolutely suck at digital art

Dropping out! Sorry :C

Equid name: Finlay (The legendary hero Finn mac Cumhaill was famous for his wisdom and fairness)
Age: 27
Gender: male
Height: 12hh
Wild or domestic: Wild
Tell me his favorite story to tell: Finlay's favorite story to tell is about the time when someone had saved his life. He was around 16 years old at the time and could not run as fast as the younger equids in his herd. There was a growl and then a snarl. A pack of hungry wolves leaped from the forest trees and made a beeline towards the equids. They all began to turn and run as the wolves began to close in on them. The herd ran for the mountains for cover. They had reached the beginning slope that was covered with rocks and boulders. Finlay could not keep up with the herd and became separated from the when he lost sight and reached a fork in his path. He had chosen the wrong pass which led him dangerously high in the mountains. Slipping and tripping on loose rocks slowed his climb to safety and let the wolves get closer to him. He had reached the top of the mountain which had a flat surface. He kept running until he n reached the edge where he slid to a stop. He looked around frantically for an escape but had no luck whatsoever. The wolves had reached the top and began to surround him. Terrified, he began to think that this was the end for him. That was until a mysterious figure had appeared behind the wolves. The figure hit one of the wolves with a staff like weapon it was holding. Finlay realized the figure was trying to help him. The wolves had turned on the figure. Just as one lunged toward the figure, Finlay lifted his back legs and kicked the wolf right out of the air. Him and the figure were now fighting side-by-side as the sky began to darken. Drops of cool rain had begun to fall upon the battling creatures below, making the rocky turf slippery. While fighting, Finlay had slipped of the wet surface and landed on his side. A wolf was closing in on him and he began to move backwards by sliding across the turf. The figure had hit the wolf away from him and it ran off just like the others. Finlay stood up, but as he did so, he slipped once more and fell off the edge only to be caught by the figure. The figure had quickly tied a handmade rope around his front leg and tied the other end to a thin but strong boulder. The figure used all it's strength and managed to hoist Finlay to safety. Finlay had finally got a good look at the figure which he strangely recognized. It was a young Indian girl around the age of 18. It all came back to him now. He had saved this girl from a bad storm when she was young. She had rescued him from the wolves as to return the favor. He smiled and nuzzled the girl. She hugged him back and the left to go back to her tribe. Finlay smiled and went back home. He would never ever forget the girl who saved his life. (516 words)

stallions in reality can breed their whole life, no matter how old - it may just happen that the quality of their semen gets worse and therefore they might need more trys until the mare gets pregnant

Tell me his favorite story to tell: "The story starts when i was born, my mother was a beautiful gray and my dad was a blue roan splash. Now, i was born in the high mountains were my herd origenly came from, it was full of snow meaning hard work for yearlings to get the grass, i was cleaver you see! when the mares dug for the grass and found some i used to go between the trees and squeel for help! the mares used to come over to try and help and coarce i wasent stuck! i jumped out and ran over and got a bit of grass before the mares came back, one mare, the leader was too cleaver though and chased me away from the grass.

Now, at this point i was a two yearold! i was kicked out from the herd to join another, i saw a small mare herd, no stallion, i made my saw over, head high, tail high and remembering to prance, i impressed the oldest mare and she let me join, we made a bigger herd and kept going to get more mares to join, the winter came and it was very hard to stay warm, my coat didnt grow that year, neither did hers, sadly she passed and i was alone with the foals and the herd, i invited another mare to care for the foals, and coarse she did! Then came summer, sun was to hot but that didnt stop him, i saw a large wolf coming towards me, i screamed at the herd to warn them! i ran at the wolf and attacked it, it ran and we were safe! i grew old with that herd but in the end another stallion came and i had to fight to keep my herd, i won but that was the most difficelt thing i ever had to do."

Equid name: Pericles, named after the Greek statesman and general of Athens.
Age: 31
Gender: male
Height: 12hh
Wild or domestic: Domestic, of course. He lives on the same farm that Darkwater is on, my 27 year old mare.
Tell me his favorite story to tell:
"Gather around, you fillies and colts. Old Perry has a story for you. Now, listen close.
"Once upon a time, there was a beautiful filly, with a beautiful white coat. It was whiter than freshly laid snow, and it was a sight to see. "
"Poppa," A filly spoke up, "Are you sure that you weren't dreaming?"
"I wasn't, Lilith. Now, let's get back to the story.
"I was young, only four. She would come by my herd every weekend at night, always gazing up at the stars. I watched her every time, and I'd always get distracted by something and she'd vanish."
"Then she wasn't real!" Lilith piped back up.
"Hush, you. She was. I talked to her, once. Only once. She slowly, nervously walked up to me, and gently touched her nose to mine. Up close I could see, there was not a single marking on her. Her muzzle was white, not pink. Her eyes were silver."
"Definitely a ghost," The filly muttered.
"She was not a ghost. She was real, Lilith. I felt her warmth. She was so timid, so scared. I think it was my halter that really did scare her the most. But she approached me anyway.
And all she did was smile at me. She just smiled and said my name.
But then, my owner had whistled for me to come. I turned my head-- goodness how I regret that-- and within a second of turning back to bid her farewell, she had vanished."
Lilith turned to the others at this point. "Yup, a ghost!"
Perry did not scold her, this time. He was gazing out to the starless night, face full of longing.
"The stars never came back out after that. She took them with her when she left. I hope she returns again, so we can see the stars bright again."

Equid name: Sophist
Age: 27
Gender: male
Height: 12hh
Wild or domestic: Wild
Tell me his favorite story to tell: 455 words. :3

Sophist stood with difficulty. “Alright little ones, one more story.” He thought for a minute. “How about ‘The Oak Tree’?” The young Equids shook their heads no. “Alright then. How about ‘the Little Fish and the Desert’? It’s my favorite. Alright then, ‘The Little Fish’ it is.” Sophist took a moment to think, and started his story.

Many years ago, before I was even born, rivers were everywhere. The rivers, forests, mountains. Even the deserts had rivers. Back then, rivers were full of fish. Salmon, trout, little guppies even called the waters their home. There was one young filly, Savannah, who lived in one of the deserts. She was quite the adventurer. She followed the river every day, chasing the fish. One day, she went farther than she should have. When she returned, her mother asked, “Savannah, did you go past the big rock?” Savannah lied, replying, “No mother, I did not pass the big rock.”

The next day, she chased fish again, venturing farther and farther. Every day, her mother would ask, “Savannah, did you go past the big rock?” and every day, Savannah would respond, “No mother, I did not pass the big rock.”

One day, Savannah was frolicking in the river, and she went back in the direction of the herd. But she couldn’t find them. She searched for hours, and couldn’t find them. It was night, and Savannah finally lay down in the river bed, water tumbling over her. A fish turned to her, and said, “Little one, why are you not playing with your herd?” to which Savannah replied, “I am lost and can not find my way home.” The fish thought for a moment, and said, “Little one, I will bring you home. But, because you did not follow directions, and lied to your mother, you will never be able to play in the waters again.”

When the Equid woke, she was home, and her family was looking at her disapprovingly. “Savannah, where were you?” Savannah replied, “Mother, I had the most wonderful dream. I dreamt that a fish talked to me!” The young filly’s mother looked at her disapprovingly. “Child, that was no dream. And, because you lied and disobeyed, we have no water in our desert.”

Sophist flicked his tail. “That, young ones, is my story. Now, go to bed. And remember, obey your mothers.”
With that, the little fillies and colts darted off to their respective family, and Sophist heard them each excitedly tell their parents about the story he had told them. The mothers good naturedly told them to go to bed, to which the children instantly lay down, surly to dream about the desert. Sophist smiled to himself. “And that’s why it’s my favorite.”

you want. I don't care, as long as you can recognize it as the original and you credit me, and for the ones I just colored in, the line artist.

Even though they're folklore and not actually real. He loves the fact he makes history interesting and enjoyable for everyone while keeping the minds of the young and the old creative and lively. He may be old, but his spirit is undying. He takes pride in the stories he tells and builds his image into the characters he talks about.
