Equid Name: Fayne
Age: 5 Years old.
Gender: Mare (STERILE/UNBREEDABLE)
Height: 13.3 hh
Why the name you chose? The way that she looks, makes me feel that her name should start with an F; in truth, i googled a few names, before finding this one, that seemed to fit well in my mind. ^^ Her name also means Joyful as well.
Personality: Friendly, Caring, Awkward, Talkative and Well-mannored.
Backstory: A pair of bright purple eyes slowly blinked open; attempting to decipher what was standing above her. Everything was wet and cold; even as something blew across her small frail frame. Something then touched her body; a warm and welcoming sign from one of the figures that stood atop of her. Her soft eyes began to adjust to the light; and suddenly she saw the figures that belong to her parents; though the smaller one stood closest, while the much large one stood with a displeased look on their face.
"
It's different. Not normal." He scowled at the young foal, disgusted by the coat the newborn held.
"
She Is just fine." The shorter one replied, putting emphasis on the word she. The filly would then conceive that the shorter one cared for her; or at least seemed so, while the taller, stronger looking one was not pleased with her, or something about her..
Two years later, the young filly opened her once bright purple eyes; now darkened into an even tone. Her white coat stood out on the dirt brown based ground rather sorely; though the brown spots that mottled her face, neck, chest, legs, tail and her underbelly blended in quite well; giving her the view of a white ghost; standing amongst the dirt errily. She was torn from her long distanced memory when something touched her shoulder; and her ear glided back to hear what had been said.
"Good morning Fanye." The elder mare repeated. Her soft blue eyes focused on the purple ones.
"Good morning. Today is good, isn't it?" Fayne replied to the mare who had never been named. It was a small dislike of hers to be called anything other than mother, or grandmother; though she was not related to young Fayne in any way that either of them knew. She was simply the old mare that cared for Fay when she was left alone that fateful day.
"Yes, it's a fine day."
Fayne simply nodded her head in reply and acknowledgment to the mare beside her.
Then the sound of fast and hard beating hooves filled her ears, as well as the elder mare's, and both began to turn and look to see where it was coming from. Not to far away, Fayne spotted two pairs of normal equines; with
things on top of them; raising their limbs and screaming like crazy. She wasn't sure if the equines were happy about the wild animals on their backs; but they charged closer, until she was sure one of them had seen her and the elder mare. The four of them stopped, and the one man pointed up to Fayne and her surrogate mother; and then began off once more keeping tabs on where the pair of equids had went. A long chase ensued; The elder mare managed to get away, though Fayne had been caught, and held two ropes around her neck; pulling her towards the unknown.
Before she could truly understand what was going on, a smaller rope with a tag had been placed around her neck, and she was frightened into going into a large pen, where the wild animals stared and hollered at her; and a younger, and more female-looking wild animal stepped forward, raising something round and white in her hand; she had paid the most. A large bang from near by sent the young mareto the other side of the pen and back again.
"Wheres the exit?!" Then something slid open, and the pen around her began to shrink; she charged into the opening, only to be found in an even smaller place, dark, but warm and somewhat inviting. She calmed for the moment though she could not escape, nor knew where she was going.
Over the next few months; Fayne was given a name from the late; Fateful Dreams, because it was, as Fayne understood it, fate, that the lady claimed had brought her there to find such an amazing equid partner. She was trained to be on her best behavior at all times; no matter who she was with and even given her own small field to play in. The lady owned one other; though this was not an equid, but an equine, with shorter ears, and much taller than Fayne.
The lady spent several months trying to certify the young equid for therapy; because she felt that the equid had the right manners and aptitude for it; once Fayne was certified for certain, they began to travel; always returning home in the end, before going to somewhere new the next morning. Usually it was the country home of a sick or dying person, or sometimes even the youngest of wild things to yell and pull on Faynes mane. They attended shows with Equids in them once she was given what were called papers; and began to show on her sometimes free days. Though she never truly earned anything that mattered, the occasional first place was nice. Many asked the lady for a foal; but that was not possible, because i was what was called
sterile. Though Faynes life is full of listening to others grieve, and be sad; she loves when she can bring a smile to their face; just by traveling out to see them.
