Username: Hey, I'm Twitch3306. A non owner trying to get my first Equid.
Equid Name: I would call this beautiful girl Fender
Age: she is 6 years old
Gender: Mare (STERILE/UNBREEDABLE)
Height: 13.3 hh
Why the name you chose? I would call her this because she reminds me of my beautiful Fender gutiar.
Personality: Spunky, Live-wire, Adventurous, Untrusting, Fearful
Backstory: Fender was born in a small herd in the mountains, her mother wanted a stallion to carry on the herd, but Fender was born. She was named Fender by her mother, a boys name perhaps. Her mother was never fond of her. Always kicking her while she tried to feed, driving her away when predators were near. Almost like her mother didn't want her to live. This got to Fender, and one day when she was a mere year old she got up and ran. She ran and ran until she came to a small village. Seeing people for the first time she was curious. Coming closer a man eyed her up. Seeing Equids were rare, they were worth money. Fender stood unmoving as the man pulled out a long rope and a cattle prod. Seeing the prod spark with electricity she bolted. Bucking before she sprinted. Only to be caught by the long rope, snagging her by the neck. She stumbled and reared. Catching the Man with a hoof she watched him fall to the ground. More scared than ever she tugged and the rope came loose. She fled. The faint pop of the prod kept flashing in her brain, making her more skittish than ever. She couldn't make herself join another herd. She hated people with a passion. Seeing only one man before in her life.
Song Link: Iris-The Goo Goo Dolls
Why did you pick that song?
This is about Someone with an invisible identity who no one understands. Just like Fender, and why she always leaves. Then, she wants to find someone who actually likes her. The line "I just want you to know who I am." Reminds me of when her Mother abandoned her and wanted her dead. The title means this is how I see you and me and everyone.
So yeah. :) and it's a really great song

Equid Name: Caronwyn (car on win)
Age: 12
Gender: Mare (STERILE/UNBREEDABLE)
Height: 13.3 hh
Why the name you chose? Caronwyn means beautiful loved one in Celtic. I love Celtic things, its significance is also that she is very loved & she has an undeniable internal beauty.
Personality: Thoughtful, honest, brave.
Backstory: What makes Cara wander so? Love. When she was young, she and her friend Ailis (meaning noble) where inseparable, like two peas in a pod. The girls did everyting & went everywhere together. When they turned 2 they decided to split from the herd and travel the world. This went well for the first 2 years, they traveled the area and spiraled out. Overtime they met various equids & beings with various degrees of success, until the fateful day came.

The pair were wondering a long when they met a stallion. And what a stallion he was indeed. It was evident right away that the stallion and Ailis had a spark. Ailis & Cara decided to sty with the stallion for a while, but this turned the spark into a raging fire that could not be quelled. Soon the pairs bond started to unravel, piece by piece, until they could no longer stand to be near the other. Cara finally told Ailis how she felt of Ailis's relationship with the stallion.

Care finally decided she could no longer stand being with Ailis, so she left. She left without saying a word to Ailis. After Cara left, Ailis and the stallion started, ever so slowly to grow apart. Cara in the mean time had gone even further than when she and Ailis had been together. She wandered for 3 years.

One day when Cara was just starting her day, a strange equid approached. He came with a message from Ailis, after Cara had left, she and the stallion had gone sour & Ailis wanted to be with her old friend. When she heard that, Cara knew she could not truly be at peace until she found her friend again.

Since that day, Cara has been searching for Ailis. She has spent over 4 years searching and wandering, looking for her dear friend. She wanders for the lover of friendship.

Song Link:Don't Let Go by Bryan Adams
Why did you pick that song? When Cara finds Ailis, she will never, not come demons or storms, let Ailis get away from her. This song also has significance to me because it shows of two people, friends, lovers or what have you, who look after eachother and don't want to lose the other, ever. It would be like ripping them to shreds.

Equid Name: Birdie
Age: 2
Gender: Mare (STERILE/UNBREEDABLE)
Height: 13.3 hh
Why the name you chose? When i think of 'on the move' i always think of birds. They're unhindered by the chains of gravity, and are able to go where they please.
Personality: Birdie would be carefree and fun. An optimist, always looking at the bright side of things and encouraging her friends to do the same. Also very motherly and compassionate; especially toward foals. She would seek to bring out the best in the equids around her, and due to her charismatic nature, it'd usually work. Very selfless, the mare would put others needs before her own, and try to ensure their happiness above all else. She would have the heart to play like a filly, even in old age.
Backstory: Born in a barren mountain range, that was devoid of life. Even the mice cleared out, leaving only a few equids to search for what little food existed in the area. Due to this lack of food, Birdie had a hard upbringing. When the herd had dwindled to nothing, leaving only Birdie, she made the choice to take a leap of faith and abandon her home. After days of traveling, the mare finally found a haven, covered in green grass with flourishing ponds of fresh water. To her, it was the most beautiful sight she could have imagined. What was more, there were other equids- like her. All of them healthy and happy. It didn't take long for her to integrate into this new herd.
Song Link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ozqJfsepQI
Why did you pick that song? It's upbeat, optimistic and has a determined quality about it. Seems to fit her well.

Equid Name: Fayne
Age: 5 Years old.
Gender: Mare (STERILE/UNBREEDABLE)
Height: 13.3 hh
Why the name you chose? The way that she looks, makes me feel that her name should start with an F; in truth, i googled a few names, before finding this one, that seemed to fit well in my mind. ^^ Her name also means Joyful as well.
Personality: Friendly, Caring, Awkward, Talkative and Well-mannored.
Backstory: A pair of bright purple eyes slowly blinked open; attempting to decipher what was standing above her. Everything was wet and cold; even as something blew across her small frail frame. Something then touched her body; a warm and welcoming sign from one of the figures that stood atop of her. Her soft eyes began to adjust to the light; and suddenly she saw the figures that belong to her parents; though the smaller one stood closest, while the much large one stood with a displeased look on their face.
"It's different. Not normal." He scowled at the young foal, disgusted by the coat the newborn held.
"She Is just fine." The shorter one replied, putting emphasis on the word she. The filly would then conceive that the shorter one cared for her; or at least seemed so, while the taller, stronger looking one was not pleased with her, or something about her..

Two years later, the young filly opened her once bright purple eyes; now darkened into an even tone. Her white coat stood out on the dirt brown based ground rather sorely; though the brown spots that mottled her face, neck, chest, legs, tail and her underbelly blended in quite well; giving her the view of a white ghost; standing amongst the dirt errily. She was torn from her long distanced memory when something touched her shoulder; and her ear glided back to hear what had been said.
"Good morning Fanye." The elder mare repeated. Her soft blue eyes focused on the purple ones.
"Good morning. Today is good, isn't it?" Fayne replied to the mare who had never been named. It was a small dislike of hers to be called anything other than mother, or grandmother; though she was not related to young Fayne in any way that either of them knew. She was simply the old mare that cared for Fay when she was left alone that fateful day.
"Yes, it's a fine day."
Fayne simply nodded her head in reply and acknowledgment to the mare beside her.

Then the sound of fast and hard beating hooves filled her ears, as well as the elder mare's, and both began to turn and look to see where it was coming from. Not to far away, Fayne spotted two pairs of normal equines; with things on top of them; raising their limbs and screaming like crazy. She wasn't sure if the equines were happy about the wild animals on their backs; but they charged closer, until she was sure one of them had seen her and the elder mare. The four of them stopped, and the one man pointed up to Fayne and her surrogate mother; and then began off once more keeping tabs on where the pair of equids had went. A long chase ensued; The elder mare managed to get away, though Fayne had been caught, and held two ropes around her neck; pulling her towards the unknown.

Before she could truly understand what was going on, a smaller rope with a tag had been placed around her neck, and she was frightened into going into a large pen, where the wild animals stared and hollered at her; and a younger, and more female-looking wild animal stepped forward, raising something round and white in her hand; she had paid the most. A large bang from near by sent the young mareto the other side of the pen and back again.
"Wheres the exit?!"
Then something slid open, and the pen around her began to shrink; she charged into the opening, only to be found in an even smaller place, dark, but warm and somewhat inviting. She calmed for the moment though she could not escape, nor knew where she was going.

Over the next few months; Fayne was given a name from the late; Fateful Dreams, because it was, as Fayne understood it, fate, that the lady claimed had brought her there to find such an amazing equid partner. She was trained to be on her best behavior at all times; no matter who she was with and even given her own small field to play in. The lady owned one other; though this was not an equid, but an equine, with shorter ears, and much taller than Fayne.

The lady spent several months trying to certify the young equid for therapy; because she felt that the equid had the right manners and aptitude for it; once Fayne was certified for certain, they began to travel; always returning home in the end, before going to somewhere new the next morning. Usually it was the country home of a sick or dying person, or sometimes even the youngest of wild things to yell and pull on Faynes mane. They attended shows with Equids in them once she was given what were called papers; and began to show on her sometimes free days. Though she never truly earned anything that mattered, the occasional first place was nice. Many asked the lady for a foal; but that was not possible, because i was what was called sterile. Though Faynes life is full of listening to others grieve, and be sad; she loves when she can bring a smile to their face; just by traveling out to see them.

Song Link: Silver Lining by Kacey Musgraves
Why did you pick that song? While working on this form, i listened to the song repeatedly. It's sweet, simple and calming beat soothes me, and simply, to me, defines this characters sweet and joyful nature, that the storm will always pass, and you have to work for what you want.

I apologize that my form is so long and boring to read... xD

Equid Name: Chalmette
Age: 4 years
Gender: Mare (STERILE/UNBREEDABLE)
Height: 13.3 hh
Why the name you chose? I choose the create this girl to be war-inspired. In New Orleans, Louisiana, a battle took place from Dec. 1814 - Jan. 1815 on the Chalmette battlefield. It was a final major battle of the war of 1812. Though her backstory isn't tied especially to any specific human-related battle, I chose to base her name upon this one because it's one of my favorites.
Personality: Flighty, Absentminded, Paranoid, Fearful, Illusionistic
Backstory: Along the fringes of a small herd wandered a lone little filly whose coat was marked by splashes of peculiar spots. An elusive mare, the filly's dam, stood watching from afar with a spark of worry in her eyes. Since her early birth, only near to a month ago, the filly had never seemed to be secure-of-mind, and as the days passed, the mare worried for her daughter's safety. Chalmette was born too early for this world, and complications soon became apparent as time passed. From the moment she was able to stand, she was never able to keep completely still, growing into the nervous habits of constantly swinging her tail about, and tossing her head per habit. Due to these attention-grabbing movements, predators often saw her as easy prey, and her mother posed little defense against such strong opponents. Instead of fending away the predators, the dam instead took to finding a way to calm her child. She soon found that the filly calmed well when stories and fairytales were told to her. Soon, Chalmette became bored with her mother's tales of love and happy endings. Her mother frantically searched for someone to keep her filly entertained. Who she found was an old stallion who would recite exciting, farfetched tales of humans, and the battles they fought in the past. Most of the herd shunned the old fool, and paid no further heed to his silly ramblings, as they had no need to hear of fictitious tales of frightening creatures. Chalmette, on the other hand, became fond of the old stallion and his stories. Her dam, though not fond of the stories herself, was only happy that her filly posed less of an attraction to predators when she was calm and listening intently.
Growing older, but with the slightly-impaired mind of a young filly, Chalmette received heartbreaking news. The old story-teller stallion had left, and was never seen again. Now, most of the equids knew that the stallion was nearing his end of days, and came to the conclusion that he had merely done as nature insisted, and found a quiet place to spend his last hours. But Chalmette, retaining a child-like view of the world, would not accept this reality, and instead began to create her own. In Chalmette's mind, the stallion was being kept as a prisoner of war, and Chalmette was convinced that she needed to find him and save him herself. Despite her dam's instance, she could not be persuaded otherwise. The herd was convinced that her instability could pose harm to her own wellbeing, as well as the herd's. Slowly, the herd began to alienate her and her dam, who had never been fully accepted as part of the herd, due to their odd coloring and unstable nature.
Because of the herd's persistence to avoid her, and her since-birth unstable mind, Chalmette soon began to develop paranoia. She had never been fond of loud noises, but now she was suddenly terrified of them, imagining them as humans at battle, shouting orders and firing their loud rifles. Her nervous twitching got worse, with no stories to keep her calm. Sometimes, images would appear to Chalmette that no-one else could see. She became frantic, her reality distorted from the rest. In her mind, the world was at constant war against itself, stemmed back to her childhood and her own war that she constantly fights within herself.
One day, much to her mother's chagrin, Chalmette set out to find the old story-spinner stallion, in hopes of hearing him tell tales again, and calming her restless reality. For months, she searched, and never found a sign of him. Somewhere, Chalmette suppressed a more matured mindset, where she knew that the stallion was gone from the world. With a child-like tenacity, Chalmette was sure to always stay optimistic, and continued to search restlessly for someone who she would never find. As she grew older, Chalmette also grew faster. She was always running, be it from her dreams, predators, or her distorted mindset. Still, she runs and she searches for signs of her storyteller, and hopes for a release from the battles that aren't really there, and the movements that she can't control.
Song Link: (The Battle Of New Orleans - Johnny Horton)
Why did you pick that song? I chose this song mostly for a reason to connect to her name, but also to visualize a snippet of her distorted reality. This song signifies Chalmette when she is in a good mood. Just because she is plagued by paranoia and constantly on the move does not mean that she has to be frightened or disheartened. Sometimes, she is on the winning side of the battles in her mind. When these fictitious battles are won, she stays optimistic that she might one day find the storyteller that she was fond of.

Age: 5
Gender: Mare (STERILE/UNBREEDABLE)
Height: 13.3 hh
Why the name you chose?
I choose this name because she travels a lot so the first thing that I thought of was nomadic or Nomad.
Personality:
Nomad lives up to her name. She never stays in one spot for to long. Leaving sometimes before anyone even knows she was there. She is very determined and never feels sorry for herself. Even though she never stays with one herd for long, she falls in love with every equid she meets and would risk her own life for each and everyone. Nomad likes to talk to herself sometimes, but it is very lonely without a herd so who can blame her? Nomad is a great runner and loves to do it. When she used to have a herd she was the fastest equid around, winning every race. Now she does not have much use for running and prefers to just calmly walk. No matter what she always puts on a brave face and just keeps moving.

Why did you pick that song? Cotton Eyed Joe is a really, really upbeat song- you literally just have to dance to it if you hear it. In elementary school, we did a Dance-a-Thon every year, and Cotton Eyed Joe was always one of the songs we'd learn a dance to. So Cotton Eyed Joe is a song with sentimental meaning to me, and it really gives off an excitable vibe, just like this mare!

Username: .:Hoofbeats:.
Equid Name: Evangeline
Age: 4 years old
Gender: Mare (STERILE/UNBREEDABLE)
Height: 13.3 hh
Why the name you chose? I've always liked the name Evageline. I feel that the name Evageline has a sense of elegance and beauty to it. A beautiful mare deserves to have a name just as pretty as she is.
Personality:
> S h y
> C a r i n g
> F u n
> I n d e p e n d e n t
> T r u s t W o r t h y
Evangeline is extremely shy. She finds it very hard to trust others, just because she was treated very unfairly as a filly. She was born with blotches and spots, instead of the normal quips Wild Mountain Equids have. She would often shy away from the others and go her own way, scared of being hurt again, by the other mean fillies and colts that teased her about her different markings. She really didn't have any friends because everyone else thought her markings were bad luck, so she often spent most of her time alone. As Evangeline got older, she reallydidn't mind being alone anymore. She learned that she has a very active imagination, so it got easier for her to express herself. She used to play and make up stories by herself, pretending she was traveling to a new place, and that she was exploring all the wonders that it had. You could say she is a self taught actress, but it's just because her imagination runs wild.

She is a very caring individual, and has a heart of gold. She doesn't want anyone to feel the way she did when she was younger. She hates seeing other Equids upset or sad. She's willing to set her insecurities aside to comfort and be there for anyone who will allow her to do so. Evangeline will try her best to make others feel better. If she sees someone who is down or sad, she will drop what ever she is doing and will go talk to them, no matter what. She is very easy to talk to, and is open to talk anytime, so don't be afraid to talk to her if you need to, she's a very good listener. What ever you two talk about will not be revealed unless you give her personal permission, if you don't give her permission your secrets will go to the grave with her.

Evangeline loves to have fun, wether it be playing alone, swimming or exploring. What ever manages to take her mind off of her being different than everyone else, she considers it fun. She's very bubbly. Anything to do with the other woodland animals she adores, so she'll light right up when she's around them. Evangeline also likes to tell and come up with stories, which can be fun for her. She's just sort of afraid to show it.

Evangeline is also a very independent soul. While she was growing up, she was often alone and shied away from others. This gave way for her wanting to do things her way a and by herself. No matter how hard things got, she wanted to do them by herself. Like any other Equid, she often needed help, but she didn't like to admit it. It often makes her feel uneasy and timid when she is with a bunch of other Equids, so she is constantly on the move, trying to keep out of everyone's way, though one day she wishes to settle down with her true love.

She is very trust worthy and is a good horse for some the other horses come to if they have a problem, though none usually do. She will keep your secrets and take them to the grave unless you give her per mission to tell them. She has big interest in the little ones. All around, Nova is a pretty sweet girl. She just has a few quirks and insecurities like almost everyone.

Backstory:
She was the only filly in her small heard that was born differently, and by born differently , I mean, having spots and bloches instead of the natural quips that Wild Mountain Equids have. Because if this, she was often picked on by the other fillies and colts. Her parents weren't sure how she ended up looking completely different than them, but they didn't pay much attention told the talking and whispering the other Equids made, they just focused on protecting Evangeline and making sure that she was loved. Evangeline often shied away from the others, keeping to herself, not wanting to be hurt anymore by the mean colts and fillies that her mother and father urged her to play with, hoping that it would make her fit in.

As Evangeline got older, she became even more distant from others, even her parents. They just didn't understand her. She ended up leaving when she was a year and a half old, by sneaking off when her parents were sleeping. By leaving, she was able to discover that it was a good thing to be different. That she didn't need to look like everyone else. She was unique, and that's all that mattered. She is now living happily on her own, though she sometimes finds herself becoming lonely, but she just doesn't trust others easily, and is afraid to let others in.

Song Link: Frozen - Let It Go
Why did you pick that song? I chose the song because I think it fits very well with her back story. Evangeline learned that she didn't need to be like everyone else to make herself happy, she just needed to accept that she was different and embrace it. She let go of what everyone else said about her, and clung onto what she knew was right about herself.

Equid Name: Tuppence; Tup for short.
Age: 2 years
Gender: Mare (STERILE/UNBREEDABLE)
Height: 13.3 hh
Why the name you chose? Well, I've always thought Tuppence was a nicely spunky name for a mare; when I saw this appy, will, it FIT. The roundness of her spots and the colour look sort of like collections of coins; and it's sort of a jaunty name, rakish like the sort of streetwise vagabond I'd see her as. Also, this:
Image The colour.
Personality: Saucy, 'streetwise', willful, upbeat, mischievous
Backstory:
Tuppence was born at a stable, just like any domestic foal. Though she remembers none of it, the stable was a small one- nothing big, nothing classy, breeding Equids for show and harness. The place was hitting a low spot, however, and had to sell its most promising stud in order to keep itself alive. Tuppence, being small and lacking promise for harness and with a coat that wouldn't register for showing and which made her infertile, had no use whatsoever to the owners of her first stable. She was sold with the stud Equid as a way of getting rid of her, and any connections with family that she'd ever had were severed before they grew to any lasting strength.
The new stable was much, much larger; the kind that could afford to take an unbreedable, unshowable weakling if a better Equid came with it. Tup was too young to remember much of her earlier life, or even care that she'd moved; many said that she had been sold earlier than was good for her. The new stable was her life now, and she delighted in exploring all the wonders of the place. Little Tuppence soon found, however, that starting a life here was hard. Being a newcomer alone set her apart, and her odd coat only made it worse. Not that she was made fun of; despite being small, she had always had her share of spunk, and most of the other youngsters decided that a jest wasn't worth the scrap it would bring. Most left her alone after a while, but while she had peace, she didn't make many friends. Even the older Equids were scathing in their treatment of her; "That one'll never be worth tuppence," they'd say of her. Tuppence herself didn't take much notice of them; however, over time, the name stuck, and she became Tuppence. She had no other name- any that her mother might have given her was forgotten, and the humans never bothered with her, and so she accepted the dubbing gladly.
Tup's days at that large stable were relatively happy, though no strong connections were made and it never was a home to her. When she was one year of age, the stable caught fire, and in the confusion, she left. Tuppence was ready to see something new. With her came Farthing, one of the only allies she'd made- a wayward colt with an appetite for mischief, with whom she wandered for a while. Family in the end brought Farthing to turn back, however; he missed them, and belonged with his herd. Tuppence continued wandering; she'd formed no connections, and had nothing to go back to. Her brief travels with Farthing lasted nearly a month, and she was sorry to see him go.
Over the next year, Tuppence wandered. Life was an adventure to her- a neverending journey, with so much to see. At first, she found a wild herd that seemed to accept her willingly. She stayed there a few months; the Equids were kind, the jokes funny, and it felt good to be among other Equids. In the end, however, they were family and she wasn't. The lead stallion didn't help things, either; he tried to suppress her and exert his control over her, and Tuppence resented this; her wanderlust won over again. She continued to travel after that, never stopping more than a week or two, at the most. Sometimes this was with a wild herd; sometimes, comfortable around humans as she was, Tup would slip a stable fence and allow herself to be 'domesticated' for a short while, leaving when she was ready. She was friendly with all, but forged no bonds, and rarely did any place make an impression on her deeper than the few nights slept in safety or the warmth of a heated stable in winter.
Never having a home of her own, Tuppence lets her home be the road. There is so much to see, and Tup wants to see it all; her taste for adventure is unsatiable. Occasionally, she does feel lonely, and wonders what it's like to be part of a herd; never having had that, however, she has nothing to miss, and is perfectly happy on the move. She desires only a companion- a partner in crime, so to speak, to travel with Tup and share her adventures.

Why did you pick that song? I chose it firstly because it's been stuck in my head for far too long. More importantly, though, the chorus in specific really sums up Tup's view of life: It's a road, a grand adventure!
