Story:

My hooves clatter on the hard pavement. "Someone's watching me"I pick up the pace a little more. All I smell is the urbanest of where I lived."not any more". Someone took over our lands and made it concrete! I pick up my pace even more. Everything dead. Skies red."The thing is still on my trail." All I smell is death. All I see is poor Equids tied up against their will. One in particular made my head jerk up and a drip of sweat run down my face."They took my mother....They took my mother?!" I got furious. I run over to my mother clatter clatter. "Mom! What happened to you?!" "Shika run. Run your little heart out. Just get away from here!"I run as fast as I can... "Okay this is it. I am going against that thing" She stopped in her tracks ready to fight. "come at me whatever you are"

"Shika... Wake up....SHIKA!!!"

"Im up im up!" I look at my mom with wide eyes "I just had one of the most scariest and strangest dreams ever... Can I go continue my dream please I wanna see if I defeat the thing I was going to fight?"

"Suit yourself. Im going to go get something to eat. Come when you want to." She prances off into the meadow.

I doze off again trying to remember my dream...

Equid's Name: Ara (Meaning "Brings Rain" It is also a southern constellation situated between Scorpius and Triangulum Australe. And it also means Altar and Latin."
Age: 3
Gender: Mare
Height: 14.1hh
Story: Ara normally doesn't think much of her dreams. They are after all dreams. But one dream she can never forget. It all started after she ate some strange grass she had found in a meadow. It made her sleepy so she decided to take a short nap. All was going fine until her dream started.

She stood on a trail leading through the woods. It twisted and turned and there were many equid hoof prints leading off into the dark woods. So being the inquisitive little thing that she was she decided to follow it. At first the ground on the trail was soft and it seemed it had recently been stirred but as she got deeper into the woods the ground became cold and hard and the hoof prints had gone. She looked around thinking there must be another trail that broke off from the one that she was currently on. As she scanned the area she found none. No hoof prints or anything. Not even hoof prints going back. They just stopped. Ara was now getting worried and was debating whether she should turn back or keep going. She chose the latter. Now she was calming down but as soon as her breathing leveled she heard someone behind her. Se turned around slowly and there it was. A dark grey almost black equid. He stood only a few inches taller than Ara but to her in the darkly lit woods he seemed to tower above her. "What do you want?!" Ara asked, her voice and knees quivering. She waited for the answer but there was none. It was eerily quiet as the stallion stood there. Staring into space, eyes wide and rolling white, head cocked to the sky as he stood perfectly parallel to her. "I said what do you want?!" She asked again as he just stood there. Ara started to back away and as soon as she took the first step the stallion took a step toward her. Now the mare panicked and she backed up more. Stallion again followed her. This went on until the two equids were standing inches from each others face. Ara could feel the stallions breath against her face and she was terrified. Then the stallion just turned and walked away. Just like that. He was gone. Now she just watched the path as it lead into nothing. Into darkness. Fear now filled her entire body as she realized what was happening. The stallion was no longer just standing or walking. He was galloping straight toward her! Ara galloped too. She galloped until she was out of the woods and back in the meadow. She kept looking over her shoulder. Thinking she would see his stupid smile, his wide eyes. But he wasn't there.

And just like the Ara woke up. She had woken up! Finally! She was out of her nightmare. Out of the prison in her mind. She was free. Finally she was free..

Equid's Name: Freyja (Norse mythology, meaning "lady")
Age: 3 years
Gender: Mare
Height: 14.1hh
Story: A thick, swirling mist surrounded Freyja in a dark, gloomy forest. She waved her slender legs around, kicking at the fog that grabbed at her. It twisted around her muzzle and held it shut, creeping up towards her eyes as she struggled in vain to rid herself of this terrifying, invulnerable foe. She fell to the ground, unable to hold up the weight of the white clouds. The damp ground was spongy and soft, like a mushroom, and she felt herself sinking through it. All the way down through the soil she sunk, 'til at last she fell out of it into a bed of flowers. The petals and leaves were coated with a sticky liquid, and they clung to her mercilessly. Freyja thrashed around in terror until she finally got free of the sickly-smelling blossoms. Her mane and coat were clumped together by the viscous residue, and ripped leaves still clung to her here and there. She stood still, breathing heavily and looking at her surroundings. She heard something behind her and whirled around to see two equid stallions, one white and one gray. At first Freyja was relieved by their presence, but then she noticed their dull, staring eyes, lifeless and terrifying. Suddenly they spoke, with one cold, dark voice that echoed off the wet walls of stone around them and came back to Freyja's ears, the multitudinous reverberations making the one voice sound like a thousand.
"We are death. We are the darkness and the suffering. And we have defeated the light." As they - or it - spoke, the unseen source of light dimmed and faded to a pallid glow that could not be described as light. The two strange equids seemed to become like the fog and swirled into each other, taking the misty form of a large and terrible DarkQuid (somehow Freyja just knew? that's what it was called, like we always do in dreams) - the most powerful of all the DarkQuids, ruler of their shadowy domain. It walked forward, hooves an inch above the mossy ground, striding purposefully towards Freyja, who tried to run but found her hooves glued to the ground by the flower residue that was slowly dripping off of her to the ground. She screamed for help, struggling in vain to escape. The foggy DarkQuid stopped, its face only an inch away from hers, and stared at her - into her - to the depths of her terrified soul. Its empty eyes mocked her as the deformed face twisted into a likewise-empty laugh. Suddenly it stopped and made a gurgling, gasp-like sound. A shudder ran over its vapory body and it fell to the ground, exploding silently into a cloud of mist that sunk into the moss below. Freyja looked up from the monster's grave to see her savior. A handsome stallion stood just a few feet away, gazing morosely at the ground.
"A waste of power, that was," he said solemnly. "Coulda been a captain of the light, that one." He shrugged off his pitying look and grinned at Freyja. "Wanna find some more?" he asked with a twinkle in his eye. Freyja smiled widely at the stallion, quite taken by his unusual charm and good looks, and replied in the affirmative. She stepped forward to follow him out of the darkness, but thick, bark-like vines twisted around her legs. They pulled her into the ground while her Prince Charming tried unsuccessfully to aid her. As her head began to sink into the ground once more, she took one last loving look at her beloved's worried face... and then... she woke up.

Equid's Name: Gaea - after the earth goddess
Age: 3
Gender: Mare
Height: 14.1hh
Story:

Ding. Ding. The sound of the little drops falling upon her muzzle was soft and bell-like. Gaea blinked, her purple eyes wide and bright, unfogged by sleep. She stood up carefully, arranging her dainty hooves to hold her weight on the uncertain floor. Ding. Ding. More silvery drops fell as she brushed lightly against a plant. She blinked the water drops out of her eyelashes and took a step forward, careful not to slip on the shimmery moss. She moved forward carefully, parting her way through the strange plants. They glittered and shone in the low light, reflecting purple shades of twilight that matched her eyes. She was cautious not to step on any of the beautiful plants, but admired them as she stepped through the strange forest, silent as a shadow.
After some time, Gaea had reached the edge of the shimmering forest. She slipped quietly out of the trees, sidestepping gracefully to avoid the shower of water her disturbance caused. She blinked in astonishment as the beautiful sight before her. A wide valley, sparkling just like the forest she had left. It was deep and thick and emerald green. She began picking her way down towards it, golden rocks tumbling before her, when she heard a deep, low rushing sound. She looked back at the valley and was astonished to see it filling with water, bright blue and sparkling. Despite the enormous size of the valley, it was filled in seconds. The twilight stars were reflected in the water, glittering and winking. Gaea blinked and suddenly tensed, leaping daintily into the air. To her surprise though, she didn't come back down, but stood there, hooves supported by nothing but the cool night air. She stepped forward, and remained above the water. A small smile curved over her lovely face and she began dancing gracefully across this invisible floor, a soloist in a strangely beautiful world. It began to rain again, silver droplets falling from the dark sky like stars. As they hit the water, they bounced back upwards and rained towards the sky. Gaea watched in awe. Soon, the shining water, filled with reflections, and the deep purple sky, filled with stars, rain sparkling back and forth between them, could not be told apart. But there she was, in the middle of it all, glittering and beautiful, dancing and gliding in pure joy. The brightest star of all.

Story: Footsteps. No, not footsteps. Hoofbeats. Loud ones. Getting closer. Tess' eyes raised in wild surprise and fright when the figure came into view. Her father. No. That was impossible.

Nonetheless, the filly turned and ran, long spindly legs flying in all directions as she raced to outdistance the murderous gleam in her fathers' eyes. The chase, though, for all Tess' fury, was coming to a close. The older male had rage and endurance on his side, while Tess herself was quickly tiring. She felt herself slip, one leg coming down in an unnatural angle, and the teeth of her father digging into her neck. The filly tried to scream, but---

Tess woke up, screaming, eyes wild, and struggled to her feet, ready to bolt out of the cave. What stopped her, however, was not her own brain - she had not yet recognized that her father could not get her here. The sound of soft breathing gave the filly pause, and, looking around in her herd - the herd she loved - she settled down again. The nightmares were worth living here. Anything was worth staying with the equids she loved.

I snorted as a small amber butterfly landed on my nose. It lighted off and bobbed away in the warm summer breeze. I heard a woodpecker tapping away on a close by oak tree. My large ears turning to listen. I thrust my little foot on a rock. Watching little round bugs skittle out. I breathed lightly, a horses way of a laugh. Picking some clover up in my lips and chewing them. The light fresh flavour sparked on my tongue. I enjoyed the sensation it brought. A warm draft hit me square in the face, I glanced around, and twitched my nose. I could smell the faint smell of burning wood, a hint of mint mixed in. Eyes flitting with fear I snorted. Taking a small pace forewords. Looking through the green branches that lifted up above my head, I could see pale gray wisps rising. I could feel heat pulsing towards my pale nose, I snorted and reared. Pupils dilating with fear and anger. The yellow and orange flames licked towards me, hungry. I tried to buck away but I was tied. Tied to the spot. I couldn't move! I screamed. Letting the whinnies cry from my throat. I felt the heat rip into my flesh, warmth fled through my body, I couldn't feel my legs.
Crying I collapsed, I felt cold air rush around me. Flopping my head down In fear I cried again. Stretching out my neck to see the beautiful green forest around me collapse into a pool of ash and water.
As I looked down expecting to see my legs a scared mess from the fire, I gasped in surprise, I was laying in my grassy nest. I heard the faint breathing of other horses nearby. I was safe, and my forest was safe.

May I just say, this will be my first ever if I win her. And this is probably my dream Equi. :) I would wright about her until the sun went down, but I don't know him much you want ;n;

Equid's Name: Talia
Age: 4
Gender: Mare
Height: 14.1hh
Story:
It was a night like any other night; Talia lay down in a small patch of soft grass next to the forest on the edge of a small town. The cool breeze rustled through her thin mane. As she lay her head down she drifted off to sleep, and she fell into a deep, entirely real seeming dream. She dreamed that she got up and headed into the woods, traveling through the small line of trees acting as a barrier between her home and the small town on the other side of the little forest. She saw all kinds of creatures to her left and to her right. The sounds of the glowing eyed night birds were up above her and the crackle of leaves as she walked where heard below her as if a faint echo in a roaring tunnel bouncing off the trees. As she reached the edge of the woods she saw the town in her dreams eye, the houses where more of huts then the caves she was used to in the forest. She stepped forward into the light of a lamp hanging over the street. No one was out on such a cold night so she continued, for a moment her dream changed but what she saw was irrelevant to the story. Talia went to the end of the street to a ranch where suddenly a creaking door was herd ahead of her. She looked and a young man came out, for a moment he appeared to have a beard but then it disappeared. She stepped towards him, unafraid and over taken by curiosity. He reached out to pet her and she came closer to embrace the touch. As she came closer a rope was put around her neck. At the touch of the man’s cold hand she woke up only to find herself in the same place she had been in her dream. She had been sleepwalking the whole time, half awake, half asleep. In the days to fallow she lived on the ranch and learned to love it there, she bonded with her owner and is now tame although she had been wild before that dream.
(If there is jessabelle anywhere in there i tried to change them all to Talia since i decided to change the name <3)

Equid's Name: Kanti, meaning 'beauty' in Indian.
Age: 4 years
Gender: Mare
Height: 14.1hh
Story:
Gentle moonlight pierced through the thin covering of wisp-like clouds, bathing the knee-high grass a delicate surge of waving silver. Tall, elegant willow trees bent down until their slender leaves stroked the grass blades, whispering and murmuring words of kindness into the cool night air.
A swishing noise sounded at the far end of the shimmering clearing, and out of the glimmering trees stepped an equine. Her brown pelt stood out starkly against the silver world, but her surroundings only added to her beauty. Her lavender eyes sparkled and glowed as she gazed, slightly dazed, around her.
Stepping forward on delicate hooves, she paced along the ground, her steps so light that she barely flattened the blades of grass at her touch. Passing under the willow trees, the soft leaves stroked across her silky fur, whispering and calling words of encouragment and light to her.
In a small flash of silver, a brilliant golden butterfly appeared from behind an oak and flitted it's way across the moon-bathed clearing to the eqine. It fluttered it's wings, allowing them to catch the light and send beams of blueish light soaring across the clearing. Soon, more and more of the beautiful creatures appeared from the forest. They swirled and soared on their tiny, yet powerful wings, with as much magesty as if they were little eagles. They swooped around the equine's delicate neck and around her forelegs. Reaching up with her soft muzzle, she allowed one of the small creatures to land on her nose. She gazed wonderingly at it as a soft grey aura shone around it's wings. As soon as it had arrived though, it took to the air once more, and fluttered dreamily away.
The equine, Kanti, watched as the rest of the butterflies followed it in a flash of silver, before continuing through the meadow.
Presently, she arrived at a small brook. It gurgled and splashed merrily, it's crystal blue waters reflecting the stars above. Dipping her head, her mane falling around her cheeks, she took great gulps of the water, feeling the soothing coolness slide down her throat.
Suddenly though, the magesty of the dream world fell dark.
The wispering of the grasses fell silent, and the murmuring of the willows ceased.
A dark smoke began to pour from the surrounding trees.
Kanti lifted her muzzle from the water and snorted in surprise, water droplets trickling down from her face as she gazed in suspicion at the strange appearance of the smog. Flattening her ears, she spread her hooves apart and lowered her head. Narrowing her eyes, she lashed her tail back and forth, aggression clear on her face. She had suddenly realized who this was.
Soon, the smoke cleared away. Standing in it's place was a creature. It looked like a deer, but Kanti knew that it was not.
For one thing, this creature was massive; much taller than Kanti. It's pelt was a deep copper, and under the sleek fur, powerful muscles rippled and flexed as it pawed gouges in the earth with black, jagged hooves. It's eyes were a fiery amber, and smoke billowed out of it's nostrils as it lashed it's long, whip-like tail. Opening it's mouth, it bared strange, canine teeth, and it shook it's head slowly back and forth, displaying it's sharp, dagger-like horns.
This was not your average deer.
And suddenly, this dream had transformed into a nightmare.
Kanti stood her ground and faced the beast, but she knew that she would stand no chance against it. Rearing up and waving her forelegs in the air, she turned tail and ran. Her hooves pounded on the ground, just as hard as her heart was beating, but right behind her, she could hear the steady thump of the creature. Soon, she stumbled over a stone, and she could feel its hot, rancid breath on her back. Finally, she fell headlong into the grass, and looking up, she found herself staring right into the burning face of the beast. It's eyes glowered down at her, triumphant, smug, and it lunged, ready to bare down on top of her...
Kanti woke with a jolt. She shook her head wildly, thrashing out in desperation, before coming to, and realizing that it was all a dream. She let herself relax and felt her muscles loosen as realization dawned on her. She flicked her ears, glad that it was over.
She sighed in relief and curled into a more snug position.
"Next time," she told herself. "I won't eat so many raspberries before bed."

The End.
