Backstory/History:
Óska was only a few months old when he saw the human outer-clothing first. He couldn't remember it, but his parents recounted it for him when he asked them as a child, curled up snug inside it.
'Well, Ozzie," mother explained, "it was a summer evening, and the sun was setting. The green leaves were tinted orange, and the pale bark yellow. But the thing that seams to shout out to mind was that the grass was red, sinking up the crimson rays of the sun." Here father laughed softly, nudging his mate.
"Drama queen." he stated, then continued where Óska's mother left off. "Another prominent thing-" He paused; his pup was young, "another important thing was that there was a hunter coming, and the wind didn't alert us, the wind brushed the sound away. Our coats where dark, so hiding in the trees would be fine with us, we had thought, but we forgot about your colouring, which you inherited, or got, from your grandma. We placed you down, but when we realized, we panicked, for we had looked around to hide you but couldn't see you! A problem which we never had before!" His father lay down, and so did his mother, who continued on from his father.
"You had hid in some forgotten clothing, a human had left behind that day." she said softly, eyelids drooping. "The hunter - we didn't see much of it, we only knew it was dangerous - passed beneath us. And we hid in that tree, with you hiding beneath this pile of fabric! You always were curious." She closed her eyes, then placed her head upon her mates back, who carried on.
"The funny thing is, the next day we moved to higher grounds, as we wished not to encounter that creature again," he whispered, "And we left it. You cried all night, every night. But the next week, we saw it again.
"A boy, with his friends - two girls and one other boy - came up for stargazing, for the flying stars that lit up that night like fireflies. He took off the very same jacket you hid under, and watched them far past the time when the moon hits the center of the sky. He left it behind, after they all made a wish. We all fell asleep in a tree which we had enhanced for our comfort and safety, making sure you couldn't get out; as like your mother said, you were a wondering, curious child." Óska's mother, who both males had thought was asleep by now, went on;
"The sun was was rising up, darkness being beat back by a sky so light, it seemed almost white. A nearby pond glittered blue and poppies, which covered the hill, waved red. And somehow, you where there, sleeping soundly for the first time in a week, completely covered by that jacket."
