Story:
This is going to be weird so, just use your imagination.
Background
As strange as it may seem, the world of equids had progressed quite a lot. Although we don't have technology, we don't really have any need for it. The way we run our herds has become very similar to how some country's are run.
Anyway, I am on a "mission" to acquire an object. I have not been told what it is, only that it has some strange runes on it and that I will know it as soon as I see it.
To do this I have been given a rough location of where they have heard that it is rumoured to be.
However it won't just be me looking for it.
-------------------------------------------------------
The sound of heart beating in my ears gave me a rhythm of what, in my panicked state decided to focus on. The impact of my hooves pounding on the earth as I pushed myself to go faster was not helping my case of stay 'hidden' as I seemed to be making an awful lot of noise.
There was a rumble of thunder, which in away brought me some comfort as I knew that the sticky, humid air will soon be replaced with fresh, cool rain drops that will not tire me as quickly after my long run from the other herd's feeding grounds.

I stealthily made my way through the forest, making sure that I kept my body concealed by the shadows.
It was dusk, and the last remaining rays of the sun began to disappear behind the mountains and a few stars had begun to twinkle out.
I am heading to the centre of a enemy hearts territory, with the aim to retrieve an object. Accept I have no idea what this object is supposed to look like, the only description I have been given is that it gives of a certain power and I will know instinctively what it is when I see it.
I can see some ruins ahead of me, this is my destination. I stop behind the tree line so that I am hidden by the shadows. I analyze the landscape before me, checking my surroundings for any dangers. There aappear to be now guards which is odd, I must proceed with caution.
I spot an almost hidden opening which looks like it runs straight to the heart of the ruins. It looks dark and damp but I haven't got much choice, I feel strolling up to the ruins above ground, in broad day light would be far to easy and there would have to be a catch.
The tunnel was just large enough for me to squeeze through and as soon as I had it immediately spaced out, the ceiling lifted suddenly, it ran so close to the ground above it that literally I could see the roots of the turf above me leading me to believe that it had been rolled across, so that any one daring enough to try walking straight up to the ruins would fall in to tunnel like cave structure below.
I quickly scan the cave to check for guards, unusually there are none. I quickly, but carefully pick my way along the cave, I come to a fork in the path.
The left side looks more worn, so a choose the right. It hasn't been found yet so surely this is a good guess.
As cliche as I know this is going to sound, I saw a purplish light glowing behind a half closed door at the end of the corridor. I made my way towards it, making sure I was careful where I trod. Places like these often where covered in hidden traps, strategically placed to lull you into a false sense of security before falling to your death or such like. Amazingly I manage to reach the door so far unharmed.
The door has some ancient runes engraved on it, luckily it it is from the ancient tribe that we had predicted that the object would be from. So I can read them.
The light from the room glowed brightly, lighting the runes well enough so I could decipher them.
They read,
"At your own risk continue, for what you seek is far greater than what is behind these doors."
Then the runes are scratched out, until.
"Will it be used for good or evil..."
Then the rest of the inscription is scratched out.
I pulled the door open, there where boxes every where but that wasn't what grabbed my attention, it was the bodies of unconscious humans that where lying slumped over them, and on the floor.
I freeze, I scan the room for possible threats. I focus on my acute hearing. Trying to tune in and pick out any unusual noise.
Nothing, just the labored breathing of the humans. Although I feel concern for them I have no time to do anything, also I'm an equid what can I do.
Hidden behind the stacked boxes in the corner the light glows brighter, I push them aside and instinctively I know this is what I came for.
The object shone brighter, it seemed to be pulsing. I looked closely, it was like a half wood half gem perfectly symmetrical disk. Similar to what humans would call a paper weight. It was resting on a podium, which I expect was rigged. I quickly grab a stone roughly the same size and accurately execute a fast change over. I pause waiting for something to happen, when nothing does I shove it into the leather pouch that hangs around my neck attaching to a strap around my girth. As soon ad this is done all light to the door vanishes, I guess the only source of light way from the object.
I spin around, eyes focused on the floor, barely believing how easy it has been to obtain the strange looking gem.
I here a crunch of the sound of gravel under someone's foot. I look up to see a menacing looking stranger blocking the entrance, of course it wouldn't be easy.
I circle around them whilst keeping my eyes trained on them, the faint light from behind hiding the features of their face. I quickly, mentally note things about the stranger. Their an equid, male. Possibly dangerous but they haven't attempted anything yet. Not injured, no visible weak spots.
I inhale deeply, hmmm.... Not from the enemy's herd...
'It appears we both want the same thing.' The stranger Said in a creaky voice, sounding as if their throat was dry from running for a long time.
'Luckily for you, we can settle this layer right now there are guards approaching and not the human kind.'
With out a second thought I ran, clattering through the tunnel panicking. I don't know why but I was unnerved, and that worried me.
Finished for now, if I have time I may add
