Story: Sven dashed around in an excited panic. Santa wanted HIM to lead his sleigh! Sven did feel bad that Rudolf had to take a day off because of his contract but Sven was still SUPER excited!
"Where's my harness!!" He asked as he leaped about with a candy cane is his mouth, he often ate candy canes when he was nervous or excited so in this case he'd already devoured two boxes of them.
"Sven it's on your back aleady." I told the deerssert with a laugh.
"Oh," he replied realizing he was all ready in his tack. A laugh came from behind me. It was Santa himself.
"Is our little Deerssert ready?" Santa asked.
"I-i dont know if i am Mr. Santa, Sir." Sven said as he swallowed his last candy cane and let out a nervous wimper as he discovered he was all out of candy canes.
"Oh Sven you'll do just wonderfully," Santa said, "Rudolf felt just like you when I first asked him to lead my sleigh and look at him now." Sven looked at his red and white stripped hooves with a sigh, but then he held his head high and gave a semi-confident nod and both he and Santa walked outside to the sleigh. I followed them wanting to see my beloved Sven live every deer's dream. I cave him an 'Im so proud!' smile as he was harnessed in at Rudolf's old position looking at me with fear. i calmly walked over and gave him the candy cane i saved from his nervous rampage earlier knowing he'd need it.
"You'll do great Sven." I said
"Really?" he asked me but then he saw the candy cane and all his fear seemed to vanish. "Save that for when i get back." I smiled and stepped back when Santa began calling off the reigndeer's names. As soon as Sven's name was called they all took off into the night with incredible speed. They did one last pass over the North Pole and despite how high up they were i could see a minty colored deerssert with the biggest smile a deer could muster on his face.
