Stroy/Art: snow welled up to my chest and the sleigh was sinking. I trudged through the white mess with a load of food for the town. The only way to get it to them was for me to pull. My legs worked through the biggest snow bank I'd ever seen. I winced as I heard the whip crack above me. "Come on now dasher boy!" The man shouted. That's how my name came to be. I lifted my knee up to my chin and onto the too of the snow. My other hoof struck down and I pulled myself up. I could do this, I'm dasher. I then dashed away, the village was in sight. I had to get this food to them. They'd run out of supplies for the blizzard and I was their last hope. My hooves finally stepped onto the cobble roads with a clip clop sound. Cheers rang out and everyone came to brush me off. Because I'm dasher boy, and I can pull anything.

An original member of the "Magnificent Eight" which made their first Christmas Eve flight nearly 2,000 years ago. Dasher is known for his short bursts of speed and his energy, which is mainly attributed to crisp carrots and of course grazing the grass outside of the Reindeer stable complex near the North Pole.
"Dasher takes his job very seriously, like all of the reindeer, but he trains extra hard in the months leading up to the team's Christmas Eve flight.

Personality: Dasher is a stallion yes, yet he is one of the most gentle you shall ever meet in your life. He seems to also know some of your hopes and dreams, and is that a teddy bear there , or a dress for the prom, or even a puppy or colt? Yes, this boy loves to make people happy and feel loved, and so he works his 'magic' to get them some of the things they want, either one or two. Normally, it's what they need the most; the teddy bear for that sick child in the hospital, the dress for that lonely girl who didn't have enough money for one and wanted to have fun, that puppy or colt for the child that just wants a friend. Yep, Dasher will always come through, and he proves himself time and again.
Stroy/Art: Dasher was waiting for the man that always came in the red suit with white trim and a jolly laugh to arrive once more this night. No, the man was not Santa Claus, but it would have been pretty sweet if it was, would it not? Anywho, the stallion stood by and as expected the man arrived right on schedule. The stallion raised his head, the man named Nicholas Klauss had a sad sort of look on his face. "I'm sorry boy, looks like we won't be going out tonight to give those kids their toys. A road is blocked, and those children in that hospital are really looking forward to getting their gifts, it's the first year they be allowed them." The big stallion reared up and shook his head, snorting softly as he perked his ears at the man, and his eyes seemed to say We are going, I will get us through that snow!
He perked his ears further as he heard the man snort a soft laugh and say "Okay Dash, I'll hitch you up and we'll see what you can really do." The stallion nodded his head up and down at this and danced in place, waiting for the man to board the sleigh with those toys. He whinnied as he surged forward into the snow, pulling the sleigh with ease, and determined beyond anything to make it to that hospital, those kids were waiting. He was easy going until they reached old Stone hill Road. There, they met a bit of a problem, a large mound of snow. But the courageous stallion refused to give up, and he lunged forward up the mound, it was really just a snow a bit slippery and covered in snow. Once or twice they slipped, but the stallion pressed on, and soon they were up and over the hill, and down the other side.
Soon, they saw the hospital ahead, and the stallion pressed on through snow and driving winds to reach it. They were behind their record of last year by about half an hour, but that meant nothing to them. As it meant nothing to the children, who would have their Christmas after all. The hospital was also the way station for the other kids whose parents couldn't afford gifts to come and get something of their own each year. Dasher reared up once, then came down again, sidestepped, and whinnied quite loudly. The doctors, nurses, parents, and children flooded out into the lot, and Nick began to hand out the gifts to them. The eyes of all the children glowed, seeming brighter that year then any other, and maybe it was the light, but Dasher was pretty sure it was more likely because he had come through for them.
One little girl came forward with a mint for him, and gave him a big hug then danced back to the others. And off Nick and Dasher went back into the snow, aiming for home and the warmth of the barn and house. And as Dasher pulled that big sleigh, Nick smiled and laughed quietly as he told the stallion "An extra treat for you tonight boy. Some hot mash with apple slices along with your grain and hey." And the stallion bobbed his head up and down, there seeming to be a twinkle in his eye as they disappeared into the flakes of fresh snow falling.
Short, but sweet and to the point.
