Nanashi's diary, page one:
November 4, 2013:
I decided to write a diary so I can express my feelings. I am ignored in this world, unable to speak up for what I believe in. My siblings pay no attention to me, and I have no friends.
That's all for today, but I will write more when I have time.
November 15, 2013:
I met a boy today, and he was quite nice. But when he asked my name, I could do nothing but run and hide my face. He thought he had hurt my feelings, and went to ask my siblings about me. I was quite embarrassed, but then he came with a notebook and a pencil and we had a long conversation, and he let me keep the notebook. I hid it under my pillow.
November 27, 2013:
Today I met my new friend under a bare tree, and we sat and 'talked' for a while. Then he introduced me to his friends. They were pretty nice, and almost made me feel wanted. Life is beginning to have reason.

June 19, 2014
I haven't written in my diary in a long time, but I no longer need to express myself in writing. Me and my new friend have been dating, and I have found more ways to communicate with him. We filled up the notebook he gave to me, and I still sleep with it under my pillow. I now get along with my siblings, especially Spring. We sit in quiet and they can't hear what I can't say, so it is quite peaceful. We understand each other without saying a word. I am looking forward to the next few days, as spring time ends and summer begins. Also, today me and my friend sat under a tree and kissed. There are suddenly reasons to continue living, and I have never felt so happy in my life. I never dreamed of someone so important to me, and I have made several new friends as well.
This is goodbye, I hope that you have learned from me; nothing is a disability. Anything others consider a disability is just a part of you. Something that makes you unique and different.
Sincerely, your friend, Nanashi.
