Story
Ember bolted through the forest, the wind brushing his face as he sped. Light seemed to be all he was made of, for he could run faster than anyone and anything he knew. He laughed as a fox tried to race him and he sped faster leaving the fox in the dust. He was enjoying his speed so much as to not notice the huge tree in front of him. Skidding, Ember tried to slow down, but to no avail. He jumped and tried to go around, but it was too late. With a thump he hit the trunk of the tree. Scowling he rubbed his sore head with a paw. The fox soon came running up, and at the sight of Ember, he began to laugh, before again taking off running. Ember wobbled as he got up. The world spun around him for a few minutes before settling. Ember was soon okay to run again. He vowed to get better and decided that he probably shouldn't boast from now on.

story;; Thunder echoed out to the sky, Serian woke in a jolt. "Don't worry my dear. It's just Dry thunder. Look outside. No rain."Vel cooed softly into her daughter's ear. "It's not the dampness of the rain...It's the thunder."said Serian as she moved her tail over her ears. "My poor baby."said Vel, giving her face a lick. "Mom. I'm NOT a little girl anymore!"Serian growled. Serian moved away from her mother, moving to the opposite side of the den. "I know sweetheart. But you're still so young."Vel replied in a chuckle. "Whatever."muttered Serian, crossed. Her eyelids closed and she drifted off. Into a deep, deep, slumber.

A loud bang was heard. Serian woke up. Still groggy from sleep, she looked outside. A car had been plunged into a pit. With fumbling paws, Serian made her way over with a yawn. 'What's that?' she thought, catching a glimpse of a red stain on the black tar road.

"No."

Black and red were mingled together on the road. Tufted fur stained with red edges.

"Mother!"

Serian sobbed, pressing her face into her mothers fur. HOOOONK. Her head snapped to the side and her eyes widened in pure terror.

A gasp mixed with a shriek escaped Serian's muzzle. Panting followed and she curled up tighter. She missed the warmth of the body which always held her so tight.

"My poor baby."

"Mom. I'm NOT a little girl anymore!"

"I know sweetheart. But you're still so young."

"Whatever."

"Mother."Serian whispered. "I'm sorry."
