From Japanese 大 (hiro) "large, great" or 博 (hiro) "command, esteem" combined with 翔 (to) "soar, fly" or 斗 (to), which refers to the constellation Ursa Major. Another reason I named him this was because this JMD seemed to be as if he was of importance or was of a great ranking, also because since JMD have wings, it seemed appropriate to include a reference to soaring or flying.

Hiro has very many secrets he keeps from others, but his number one would have to be a fear he thinks is fairly embarrassing.. He fear is he is scared of forests. He can't seem to enter any wooded area at all, which makes it fairly difficult to catch prey since most animals tend to scurry in the forest. It all started when he was a little youngster and he accidentally made a small flame and it burnt his left front paw slightly, but of course the fur grew back. Ever since that day he has this anxiety that any second anything made of wood around him will burst in to flames and burn him again. Hiro can't stand the thought of others laughing at him, and since Hiro is a dark shadowy male who most would think is macho, he wouldn't be able to tolerate others if they knew his dark secret of having a fear of forests.

Like almost anyone else, Kyoto has a secret. But his is different. His is so hidden and un-noticable that others would just say that he is just like any other 'normal' JMD. Well, for the truth, that is the exact opposite of the 'real' Kyoto...
Most would say that Kyoto looks like a dark JMD, he keeps to himself, likes to be alone, away from the others. Well that about Kyoto is true though he does have a close friend that he is with a lot of the time. The thing that most others wouldn't susect about him, is his secret..
Kyoto may look and sometimes act like a dark, JMD but what he really feels is the complete opposite once again. Kyoto is one of the sweetest, calm, and lovable JMD's that there are. He desperatly wants to be friends but his downfall is the way he looks. In truth, he loves the way he looks but knows that he may look a bit of the 'scary' side to others and when he does try to approach others their instinct is to back away. That would be Kyoto's secret and though he wonder's if he will ever be fully accepted by the others, he can't help the way he looks or his sometimes foul attitude that may only be atributting to his lack of confidence and rejection of the others.

This boy's deepest secret? Well, I shouldn't be telling you, but... He has an emerald obsession. He uses his black jewel to mine, and he's very rich. He has his own mountain with a private cave in the side. He mines for emeralds there, and sells most of them. Although, his obsession isn't so innocent. Onyx mines the stones, right? Well, he then takes them home and puts a sort of evil inside of them... Then he sells them. He sells them to everybody in town. When they place the jewel on their home, the evil spreads. The green stone turns black with power, and the rock is deadly. It could kill the holder or simply injure them, either way Onyx has a deadly trick up his sleeve. However, Onyx hasn't gone out of business yet, as his customers either had their memory erased or they ended up in a coffin...
