“Real courage is not to give up hope,
even in the most terrible darkness, and to carry on.
That if courage and love is deep as despair,
deeper, then light may come again.”

username ;;
My Username is ƜσℓʌɛƨǤσЯαωя, which is a cryptic text for WolvesGoRawr(:
shugorei name ;;
I normally go by Wolves, so please feel free to call me that rather than by my full name if you like ^-^
I'll answer to that as well as to Wolf or Rawr or WGR or anything else
you can come up with resembling my name, though Wolves is preferred <3I've decided to give this handsome Shugorei the name of Shri.
how we met ;;
The name has a very simple pronunciation to go along with its simple spelling.
It is spoken as SHREE, which is pretty similar to how it looks.
Shri is a name of Hindi and Indian origin. In Sanskrit it is translated to mean "diffusing light, radiance, beauty."
I chose this name for this boy because I think it describes him fairly well.
He is radiance and beauty, and a simply gorgeous Shugorei.art ;;
A thin layer of snow blanketed the quiet forest, covered every inch of ground with the powdery substance. The full moon's pale silver beams filtered through the thin, dark branches of the bare pine trees, dappling the forest floor with small patches of moonlight. Nothing stirred, not even the dead leaves that had somehow still managed to cling to their branches. Suddenly, a small cry split through the evening's frigid air and disrupted the silence, the sound of crunching snow and snapping branches following close behind it.
Wolves' heart pounded madly in her chest, filling her eardrums with the sound of it's rapid beating. She could barely make out the thin path ahead of her, her overwhelming fear blurring her vision. Adrenaline shot through her veins like electricity, this being the only thing that kept her from falling due to exhaustion. The young girl dared to glance over her shoulder to see if he was still there. Sure enough, a large, hodded figure was bolting after her, not far behind. Wolves gritted her teeth and turned her attention back to the path in front of her. She scrambled through a bramble patch which blocked her path, yelping slightly as thorns snagged her clothing and dug into her sensitive skin, drawing blood. Wolves wrenched herself free from the brambles' deadly gasp before continuing to run.
Why was he still following her? Why couldn't he just leave her alone? She had promised him that she wouldn't speak about the murder which took place a few nights before if he agreed to leave her be from then on. Why was he doing this? The jumbled thoughts whirled around in Wolves' mind as she desparately tried to lose the man who was in pursuit of her. Suddenly, in her confused daze, the girl's foot tripped on a tree root which was hidden beneath the snow. She collapsed to the ground with a small gasp of surprise and fear, causing a small cloud of snow to fly up. When her knee made contact with the hard ground, Wolves could feel pain shoot up her leg and another cry escaped from between her lips.
She attempted to jump back up to her feet although the efforts came to no avail. The agony was unbearable, making it impossible for Wolves to even limp without falling to the ground again. The girl could hear the man's footsteps approaching ebhind her. No.. She summoned all of her strength and began to drag herself forward, into a small clearing. Her breathing came out in quick, raspy pants as she managed to haul herself up the the base of a pine tree. She turned and leaned back against the dark bark, bringing her injured knee to her chest. Wolves raised her terror-filled gaze to meet the man as he emerged from the shadows beyond the clearing.
"Please.." She pleaded in a small voice, "Please d-don't do this.. I did everything.. you asked of m-me.. I told you I-I wouldn't say anything to the police.. I even disposed of the evidence..!!" She wheezed, letting out a rough cough after the weak statement.
"Sorry, kid. The Boss said no witnesses. It's time to tie up loose ends." The burly man replied in a grave tone as he halted in front of her, reaching into his jacket pocket. Wolves watched with widened eyes as he pulled out an object which glinted in the moonlight. A pistol. Wolves bit her lip and shook her head, hot tears beginning to stream down her reddened cheeks.
"N-No, please!!" She repeated in a broken voice. Her words fell upon deaf ears as the man cocked the weapon and extended his arm towards her, aiming down the barrel at her head. Wolves sqeezed her eyes shut and grinded her teeth, preparing herself for the end.
Just then, she heard a snarl come from behind her. Her eyes popped open to see a large feline-like creature explode from the bushes behind the tree she was propped up against. The creature was unlike anything she had seen before- he was the intimidating size of a wolf with a feline facial structure and large ears as well as a prolonged tail. He was a light shade of baby blue with a pattern of small white leopard spots stretching across his flank. The most odd features of him were the darker blue flower petals which seemed to swirl peacefully around his form, the source seeming to be between his shoudlers and then the large eggplant-colored collar around his neck which held a glowing lantern.
The man dropped his gun and stepped back in bewilderment, completely thrown off by the creature's sudden appearance. Wolves watched in pure awe and shock as the large creature bared his teeth at the man, lashing his lengthy tail threateningly. His ears bent back and he let out a frightening hiss before launching himself at the man with sheathed claws. The man let out a terrified yelp and ducked under the feline, falling into the snow. He shook his head and looked up as the creature crouched and prepared to leap at him again. The man gasped and quickly climbed to his feet and darted off, leaving Wolves alone with the creature.
A moment of silence passed as the light blue feline padded up to Wolves and sniffed her knee, pricking his ears. Wolves tensed slightly, unsure of the creature's intentions. His whiskers twitched and his pupiless white orbs rested on the frightened girl.
"Do not fret, human.. I mean no harm. I only wish to keep you out of harm's way, serving as your guardian." When he spoke, his mouth did not move, indicating that the voice Wolves was hearing was in her head. The girl frowned and watched the feline with wary eyes.
"Who.. Who are you..? ... What are you..?" She breathed, staring at him. The feline sat back on his haunches, his pale gaze never leaving Wolves as he settled down next to her.
"My name is Shri. I am a Shugorei, a spirit guardian. My kind is thousands of years old, protecting the human race during their life as well as afterlife.." Shri replied calmly, his voice soothing Wolves and causing a relieved sigh to be released from her lungs.
"My name is Wolves.."
