I'm going to let you guys know real quick that items that normally come as a pair counts as one, so armor that would come in a pair like pauldrons or gauntlets or arm bracers would count as one item. Anything that put together would equal a pair will be counted as one item ^^ Also a pouch or bag or something with multiple items in it would count as one.

Two separate necklaces would count as two items ^^ Unless the necklaces were attached together in some permanent way, they would be counted as two separate items. I hope that makes sense ^^
