Personality

[Sweet]

Certa can be sweet as long as you're his friend. c:

[rebellious]

Certa can be rebellious at times. He got this way from his mother, who had to rebel in order to survive. [They were poor] Certa doesn't rebel all the time, but he still does it a little more than necessary.

[cold]

Certa can be a bit cold sometimes just because of how he was treated as a kid, although he never wants anyone to have to go through what he did.

[sweet tooth]

Certa has always had a sweet tooth. It had gotten stronger since he didn't get to have sweets often when he was a kid, so when he did he would relish it and keep the candy for days and sometimes even weeks.

[introvert]

Certa has always been an introvert. He didn't make many friends in school, but is perfectly content with only having 2 or 3 friends.

[Icecream] Icecream is cold and sweet and delicious! Kind of like a certain jewly he knows...
[Anantha] This one I do believe is quite obvious. But he likes Anantha because...Well... She understands. She listens. She /cares/.
[Playing with water]Playing with water is a favorite activity of Certa's. He likes it.. Because well... It's fun! And its amusing to watch the globs of water form shapes!
[Cotton candy] Whats not to love? It's sweet and fluffy and melts in your mouth~
[Hard candy] He likes hard candy because, to put it simply, it feeds his sweet tooth longer than regular candy.
[Butterflies] Butterflies are simply a beautiful creation. Their delicate wings and intricate flight patterns entrance the young JMD.
[Lakes] Certa loves lakes. This is because they are pure water, which is an amusement overload. Also swimming is fantastic.
[Snow] Certa loves snow. It is simply beautiful, especially when it falls from the sky. Sure its cold and the cold bites at first, but it's worth it for the entrancing sight. Nothing's more soothing than watching the snow fall slowly, dancing throughout the air.
[Winter] Certa loves winter simply because it's the time of year when it snows. Also because Christmas is in the winter. Oh and Anantha tends to be happier during the winter months.
[Caves] Certa loves caves. It's kind of odd, due to his hatred of the dark, but they are simply fantastic. The odd rock formations are comforting in a strange way.
[Art] Certa absolutely adores art. He loves to user watercolor paints to make his own art, as well, and then present to those who he loves. He loves their reactions. Their smiling faces.

[Dislikes]

[Fire] Certa has more of a fear of fire than a dislike.The tongues of burning gaseous flames are terrifying. The fact that he had been burnt by flames before is no help to his trauma.
[Being inside] Certa hate's to sulk around indoors. He finds it utterly boring. He'd much rather be out enjoying the beauty of nature and discovering new locations than be cooped up in the same room, with the same four walls, all the time.
[Dark] Certa is not a fan of the dark. At all. Who knows what lurks in the inky blackness, ready to consume you!
[Glass] Well, not glass in particular, mainly just windows. No one knows who could be watching you from behind a window, ready to strike at any moment. Though you could probably see them... Who knows! maybe its a tinted window!
[Rubbing his paws together] The JMD loathes the idea entirely of rubbing ones paws together. The sensation is horrific and does not feel right under any circumstances.

Certa's Tale

Certa was born in a poor family. He stayed cold and rather unfriendly until he met a a JMD named Anantha. Certa and Anantha met by a diamond, and they've fell in love since. {Read the story for more.}


Story
Certa was born in a family stricken by poverty. This didn't really effect him much until he grew up into a child. He started realizing that other families were much better off
than his and he started questioning certain things, such as "Why don't I have an Xbox? In fact, Why don't I have Christmas like the other ones? They say they get presents but instead we give
each other presents." One Christmas, he had recieved a blank book from his brother. He said that it was a dairy. He didn't hear the end of it until Certa caught his brother putting make-up on
and told him never to talk about it again. A long while later, when Certa had grown into a teen, he had finally realized that his family was poor. By then, his brother had already passed away
due to the lack of food they were able to afford. He had uncovered the old book his brother had given to him. He started writing in it. He wasn't stupid, he knew that it would effect him
one way or another to see what it was like in the past. It was also partially a tribute to his brother. He had never been alive long enough to bond, instead it was always just mocking and
embarassment. He scrawled down, 'March 15th.' He continued to write about how terrible current things were. The only comfort he had left was his sister. His mom was always working.
Day after day, he continued to write down the same, or at least similar, things in his book: "Terrible day. The food is stale, and I got a terrible craving for chocolate. Chocolate. We can't
afford that." At school, he couldn't really find anyone like him, so instead he settled with shadows of what he'd call a good friend. His sister was only there to comfort him some of the time, as she
also worked. Finally, one day, his friends invited him to one of their houses. Nobody would tell him anything, it was all just snickering and smiles. Finally, one of them revealed a cigarette and
lunged at Certa with it. He swiftly took out a lighter and scalded Certa's nose with it on accident, then attempted to light the cigar.
He stood in fright, not exactly over the cigar, but of the fire. It had charred his nose and he felt like screaming of pain. Finally coming to grips with what had happened, immediately bolted
out of the room. He didn't think about where he was going, and ended up at his lake. This was a lake a way away from his house and he often came here to vent while controlling water. He sighed
and plomped himself down next to the lake, working on creating a water night sky that he had as an idea for a while now.

He heard a rustling. He looked up, and saw another Jewel Maned Dragon pop out of the brush. He didn't want anyone to be here right now, this was his alone time. Especially not a stranger. He almost
impulsivley splashed a heap of water onto the victim. He hadn't taken note of anything about the stranger, but he should have. The stranger immediatley froze the lake, trapping his paw,
as he had his paw in the lake before. He grunted, then said, "What are you doing here?" The stranger scowled and replied, "I was taking a walk. Just a walk. What's wrong with you?" Certa ignored
the stranger's rude statement and continued to attempt to pull his paw out of the ice. Finally, he ripped his paw free. He was about to give the stranger a nice rant when he saw something
sparkle out of the corner of his eyes. He stopped paying attention to the stranger and looked to investigate. buried in the hole where his paw had been, was a glinting gemstone. He blinked,
then realized. It was a diamond. And an exceptionally big one, at that. He let go of his skirmish with the stranger. "Shatter the lake," he ordered, staring straight at her. She looked hard
at this other JMD. What was he up to? Oh well. It wasn't everyday someone asked her to show off her talent. She focused her energy into the reserve of power she had within her, the power
that all JMDs had, and instantly shattered the lake. Certa scooped up the diamond in his paws, staring at it. He quickly hid the diamond in a pile of leaves that was within reach. He didn't
want to run away with the diamond, she might see. The stranger piped up and said, "Umm... Why did you want me to shatter the lake?" She looked questioningly at Certa, certainly not as angry
as before. Certa searched for an answer. "Ummm..." He quickly thought of something, pretty sure it wouldn't work. "Just because I think you'd be really good at um... You know, the cold stuff." The
stranger didn't respond, and instead dragged one of her paws on the ground. "Are you alright?" Certa asked, still fearing it hadn't worked. "Uhthanks" The stranger said, doing some strange
thing with her ears that Certa wasn't exactly able to put a name on. "Again... Are you alright?" Certa insisted. The stranger just bolted out of the woods, leaving Certa alone and with the lake.
By this time he'd already forgotten about the diamond, but quickly remembered again. He scooped up the diamond with his mouth and ran back home, ready to finally change some things about his
life.

The next day, he woke up and figured out his mom had cheated with the diamond, and after the person she was selling it to she had somehow stole it again. This was from his sister, of course,
nobody else knew about it. About to get out of his room, he heard a scampering of paws and noticed a glint out of the corner of his eye much like he had when he first found the diamond. He
investigated the glint first. It was the diamond. It had a note on it, "Here keep this." Probably from his mom. He swiftly hid it in his room, to hide better later. He started to wonder how much
money they had gotten, and whether they were still going to be poor. But then with the sounds again. He looked around his room, half expecting a mouse. He didn't see any, and went to look around
the house. There was the same stranger he had met the day before. His eyes widened. "Wha... What are you doing here?" He thought he saw the stranger blush, and she responded, "Well I just wanted
to say thank you." Certa thought about telling her that she had already said thank you, but quickly thought of a much better thing to say. "What's your name?" He asked. It was about time. "Umm..
It's Anantha," The stranger finally blurterd.

Anantha is, of course, Certa's love. Anantha is owned by a friend of mine, and we plan to RP with them in the future. c:

Before meeting Certa, Anantha was rather forever alone. She didn't really know many people until she met Certa.

Anantha's greatest wish would to be able to go swimming without freezing the water.

Anantha's gem is white, and you'll find we've referenced that in a lot of elements in this form~



Hermy



Hermy is the freaking awesome hermit crab. He is Certa's friend, and will always wait for him at the lake. I would say that Hermy's greatest wish would be to talk.

Certa's Mom

Certa's mom is usually working all day to keep her family alive. Once they were able to return to a normal life after the diamond was found, though, she started working a little bit less. She is sweet and caring at heart and will stop at nothing to support her two children.
