Background: Nuru didn't always have the starry pelt
that he has today. He had to earn it.
When he was born he had a jet black
and navy pelt with nothing else too special about it.
Ever since he was a baby Cillo, he's loved the night sky
and the stars that reside within the abyss called sapce.
He was often criticized for not playing with the other
Cillo when he was little. Instead, he would climb to
the top of the highest points he knew to just lay and
watch the stars. It wasn't too long before he knew
where all of the constellations and major stars were
located in the sky.
He loved the stars so much and wanted nothing more
than to be as beautiful as the night sky. But how
could that ever happen? One night, he slipped away
from the others to go to his favorite hill and watch
the stars. While laying there, he spotted a shooting
star and wished with all his heart to be as beautiful
as the stars, and his wish came true. He ended up
falling asleep there and had a dream.

Nuru shook his head and looked around, everything
blurred and unrecognizable in his dream. He got
to his paws and went to shake the dust from his
fur when he saw a light mass moving through
the haze. "Hello?" Nuru called, stepping forward
as the mass stopped just ahead. What was it?
"Hello little one."
"Wh-who are you?"
"That doesn't really matter, silly." The voice
spoke again. "I have heard your wish and it
will be granted, as long as you swear to do
one thing in return."
"I'll to anything. I swear."
The figure chuckled lightly before speaking
once more,"You must work to protect the
others and be the best you can be. If you
can prove to be you deserve it, you can
keep what I will give to you..."
Nuru nodded and everything slowly
faded to black...

He woke up on the hill some time later
and yawned, rubbing his eyes with the
backs of his paws. He stretched and
laughed to himself. Such a weird dream
that had been. Shaking his head, he
wandered down to a stream and as
he looked down to get a drink he saw
his black and navy pelt was no longer
the same. It was silkier than before
and stars clung to it. "No way!" The
young Cillo beamed and looked up to
the stars. "Thank you. I promise to be
the best I can be..."
Years passed and he did just that. He
worked hard to help anyone and
everyone. He protected those close
to his heart and was always there to
offer help or comfort. He got to keep
his granted wish and along with his
hard work he earned several piercings
for his ears. He wears them proudly
and is always there to lend a helping
paw to those in need.
