A strong mare with a soft spot for foals, she's takes up the responsibility of protecting them if something ever goes wrong. Past guilt from being unable to protect her little brother is the cause of her overwhelming sense of urgency in protecting the foals, and often times the guilt can cause her to be depressed or unresponsive.

Let’s get a few things straight first, she’s smart, cheeky, and when she has to she can get the others to do what she wants. Penelope is not one you want to take advantage of, even if she might seem like a nerd because of her intellectual ability. She’s witty when it comes to comebacks and one of the smartest Whip Tail Equines you might ever meet. Penelope knows what she wants and she knows how to get it.. Her IQ has made her a bit of quirk but she isn’t afraid to admit it to herself or anyone else. Unlike some others she doesn’t have any confidence issues, she doesn’t like to be in the spotlight like some of her friends and will often just enjoy watching.
After years of watching others she’s been able to study their behaviors and at times she knows exactly what you’re about to say or thinking. It’s because she’s quite good at studying behaviors and personalities, of course this means she knows how to talk to others and she has many friends. This can make her quite a good friend to most, but she isn’t god and of course she gets things wrong. Just not often. At times she can appear to be a little bossy only since she can get ahead of herself sometimes and often it’ll be one of the boys who will prove her wrong in a verbal conflict. She hates herself for this but knows that its good to not know everything, where would the fun be in that?
