Art/short description of strangest encounter/activity this equid has witnessed in any way: Blinking open her bleary eyes, Casyndra gazed about the thicket she was resting in. Something had woken her up and the pretty young mare was curious as to what the source was. A soft silvery-blue light emanated just beyond the thicket. As Casyndra rose to a stand, a soft tinkling filled her ears - also in the direction of the light. So, the dappled Mountain Equid slowly walked toward the source, her ears pricked foward in curiousity. As she broke through the vegetation that protected her thicket, the light - and tinkling - drew further away, although both were still easily tracked by the ghostly looking mare.
The pattern continued for quite some time that night - Casyndra drawing upon the mysterious light and closing in on the chiming bell sound, before both would quickly draw away. Finally, as she was drawing upon the edge of the small patch of flora growing on the side of the mountain, the light hovered barely beyond the patch of vegetation. Stepping lightly, Casyndra pushed past the last of the grasses and stood before the silvery-blue light. It was an orb that was just a tad bit smaller than her head, hovering high off the ground; it appeared to be surrounded by ghosts of a blue flame, although the mare felt no heat coming from the odd being before her. "What are you?" She nickered softly, her head tilting slightly to the side. Only a chorus of bell chimes came from the strange orb before it drifted toward the rocky mountain side. Her silver tail twitched over the ground before following the light once more.
However, Casyndra stopped dead in her tracks when the glowing orb floated straight into the mountain. The Equid shifted warily, ears flicking above her head before the being drifted back out the side. It drifted toward the mare before heading straight back through the mountain; the orb did this several times before Casyndra got the hint. "You want me to follow you..." she turned her head toward the strange creature, "into the mountain?" Her voice was disbelieving as the orb chimed once more. Sighing heavily through her nose, Casyndra resigned herself to the idea of walking straight at the mountain side. Slowly, she walked toward the spot where the light kept slipping through, and as she came on the wall she stopped suddenly - instinct kicking in that she'd just hurt herself walking into the sharp, jutting rocks of the mountain. However, steeling herself, Casyndra stepped forward and walked straight at the very thing her brain was screaming not to. Bracing herself for the impact of cold stone against her nose, Casyndra didn't realize that she'd walked further than should be possible. Opening her eyes, the mare blinked in surprise - she no longer saw the mountain's side, but rather a shimmering tunnel lit by the small blue orb. A breathy "oh" was all she managed to say as her gaze swept along the thousands of tiny shimmering lights reflecting the blue-silver of the chiming creature. The being let out a gentle tinkling melody before it began to drift further into the tunnels. Still enchanted by the glimmering walls, Casyndra followed slowly behind the light, bedazzled by the reflective
shards. However, it wasn't long until she was distracted by an even greater light up ahead - where the floating orb now waited for her. Ears pricked, the dappled mare walked forward and let out a gasp of surprise...
I'll leave it at that for now. If I win this absolutely lovely female I'll continue this story and explain what happens next (and include a pic or two relating to it)~
Also, the blue-silver light is supposed to be a will-o'-the-wisp or some creature similar to it.
