Stanzas, with artist and song info:
I've been a victim of
A selfish kind of love,
It's time that I realize:
That there are some with no home,
Not a nickel to loan.
Could it be really me,
pretending that they're not alone?
I'm starting with the man in the mirror,
I'm asking him to change his ways.
And no message could have been any clearer:
If you wanna make the world a better place,
Take a look at yourself and then make a change.
- Michael Jackson, "Man in the mirror"

Stanzas, with artist and song info:
"Separate Ways" by Journey
Here we stand
Worlds apart, hearts broken in two, two, two
Sleepless nights
Losing ground, I'm reaching for you, you, you
Feelin' that it's gone can change your mind
If we can't go on to survive the tide, love divides
Someday love will find you
Break those chains that bind you
One night will remind you
How we touched and went our separate ways
(I saved this post as a draft before it was closed for judging, I hope you don't mind)

Name: Ashenfall (after the 'ash' tree and the season his coat coloar and his horns seem to represent, 'autumm/fall'. His coat is like the warm brown earthand his horns are like the golden leaves that fall.)
Gender: Stallion
Height: 17hh
Stanzas, with artist and song info: I am the voice in the fields when the summer's gone
The dance of the leaves when the autumn winds blow
Ne'er do I sleep thoughout all the cold winter long
I am the force that in springtime will grow
I am the voice of the past that will always be
Filled with my sorrow and blood in my fields
I am the voice of the future, bring me your peace
Bring me your peace, and my wounds, they will heal.'The Voice', by 'Celtic Woman' (I think her name is really Lisa Kelly, but the artist is called Celtic Woman on the album as there are a number of female artists).
He just strikes me as an ethereal being with close ties to the land around him. He would have a deep respect for the natural world around him, whether plant or animal, large or small. I can imagine that Lisa Kelly is singing about hearing his voice on the wind, teaching her (representing humanity) how to respect the natural world around her (or them) through him.
But that's just my interpretation. Here's a link to a decent recording of the song:

Winner~~ Congrats! And sorry it took so long for me to judge, I didn't think I'd get so busy!
