Items: The first item would be a simple silver cross necklace dangling from a silver chain around her neck. Above that would be a faded cream and sky blue scarf. The last item would be a rather bedraggled stuffed rabbit that tends to hang from her mouth whenever she's not carrying it around.
Why you chose them: I chose the necklace because it gives her a sense of originality. She might not be uniquely special, but she herself is an individual. The scarf was just a cute fashion feature to show that, despite her timid personality, she knows how to stand out. The stuffed bunny I thought would give her a cute touch, as well as a history. A bedraggled, dirt stained and scarred stuffed bunny can tell as much history as any dog eared book could. However, it also shows that despite her rather rough and rugged appearance, she's still just a timid child inside.
How they received them: Misa received her necklace when she was within the limits of a small city, north of where she currently lives. It's a tiny village, no more than a few dozen houses or so, but it was still beautiful. Marveled by how well the woman crafted their clothing and jewelry, she grew captivated by a simple cross that she watched a woman weave and bend beneath the heat of the fire. The woman, noticing her, smiled and asked if she wanted to help. Misa stumbled around her yes and she got to work her first silver necklace. When they were finished, the woman allowed her to keep it, saying that if the 'makers hands loved it so much, surely it must stay within those hands.'
Thus Misa came upon her necklace.
Misa had her scarf and bunny, however, ever since she was born. Misa's parents greatly cared for her and her first gift when she opened her eyes was her rabbit. Her second gift was a small scarf with which she would wear around her neck forever. She never assumed that they would live with her through a tragedy, but they did. And they continued to do so. After Misa's parents were killed in a fire, Misa was taken in by another Whiptail dragon. A kindly old soul, he raised Misa and taught her the path of knowledge and wisdom.
However Misa was still darkened by what she had seen when she was a younger child. And clinging from muzzle then like it was now, was her bunny. Hanging only a few inches away from the scarf wrapped tightly around her neck.
