Personality:Passionate
Just like her middle name describes, Sienna is very passionate about the activities she loves. Tending to various fruit trees is her true passion, but she also has fun doing many other things, like painting, flying, and making jewelry. She would never stop doing anything she loves to do, they are her passion and she will stick with them no matter what. She truly cares for the fruit she tends to though, my family and I have been able to thrive with her and her fruit trees around. People come for miles when the delicious fruits are in season, just to buy them and eat them all right away, they truly are the most delicious fruits I have ever tasted.
Sweet
Sienna thinks that she's only sweet because if all the fruits she eats, but I beg to differ. She's so kindhearted and thoughtful, and there isn't one impure bone in her body. She gives to the less fortunate, easily forgives the mistakes of others, and always thinks of someone else before herself. We would starve if I didn't rein her in sometimes, she doesn't really care about her own nourishment. She always speaks with quiet, kind words, and never speaks out against someone or it interrupts someone when they are speaking. Sienna cares for everyone in this world, she doesn't think of anyone as mean, rude, or evil, she accepts them as misunderstood, and tries to help them in any way that she can.
Quiet
A very soft-spoken little girl, Sienna doesn't talk or make much noise, often only when spoken to, and keeps a soft tone when she does. She likes to speak to the fruits with a soft, gentle voice, knowing that the extra carbon dioxide helps them grow faster. She really only talks to me, sometimes the other characters in our family, and very rarely anyone outside that, but she answers the occasional question at the market. When talking to strangers, she will only talk about her fruit, nothing else. She can answer any question they have about the produce, but she won't talk about anything that doesn't relate to her fruit.
Sienna wrote:Is that all you're going to say about me?
Sweetypie wrote:No sweetheart, there's still a few more.
Sienna wrote:Okay, just making sure.
Bright
Sienna is an incredibly brilliant little rune, I don't see how so much knowledge could possibly be stored in such a small creature, especially a baby of it's kind. Her mouth is just a constant flow of information, she always seems to know the answer to every question. She's especially savvy with facts about nature, more specifically fruits, which makes sense being a peach rune and all. Most people don't know that she's so smart though, she's so quiet and doesn't talk much, so they really don't know about her brilliance. She's the smartest little girl, I can only imagine just how smart she can become.
Polite and Proper
Always such a perfect model of etiquette and perfection, Sienna never fails to impress with her beautiful way with people and flawless manners. She chews with her mouth closed, always uses a napkin properly, speaks in a me mannerly tone, never interrupts, and never talks with her mouth full. She also obeys many other rules of etiquette, but those are just a few that Sienna is always sure to pay close attention to at all times. She tries not to correct anyone on their manners because she knows that it's rude, but I appreciate the helpful hints she gives me occasionally, they are very helpful.
Understanding
This doesn't nessisarily mean that Sienna will easily forgive you, but she is still very understanding. She knows that sometimes people (or runes) make mistakes, and no one is perfect. She doesn't like when she is given silly excuses and lies about something, she wants the truth and that's it, she will be able to tell if you're lying, for she knows how the mind works and is able to quickly pinpoint key body movements and signs that indicate a nervous or unclear thought process. You just have to know that she will understand, and probably forgive you, as long as you fess up and tell the truth. Likes:

Any Quirks:Only Eats Fruit Whole
Sienna will never touch a fruit that has been cut,
sliced, or otherwised modified; she only eats fruit
Just how it grows. Her only exception is yummy
Desserts like pies and tarts. She will still of course
Eat fruit if effort is put into preparing it and it
Would be rude for her not to eat it, but she tries
her hardest to stick to fruit's natural state.
Everything Always Has to be Perfect
Yes, as true as it seems, Sienna is quite the
perfectionist. This is most likely what makes her such
A great tender to fruits, everything has to be perfect
And she will settle for nothing less. I like it about her,
But it gets a little annoying when she gets frustrated
With herself, because it makes me sad and upset when
She isn't happy.
Makes Faces when Tasting Fruit for Ripeness
She is capable of making the silliest little faces, and
It's mostly just when she is testing the quality of her
Fruit. I can tell what she thinks of every fruit, for she
Squints and scrunches her face when it is bitter or sour,
Sticks out her tongue if it's rotten, and gets the cutest
Little grin when it is perfect.
Always Cleaning Herself
You can always count on Sienna being spotlessly clean,
For you can spot her quite often brushing tangles or
debris out of her beautiful fur. She likes when I brush
Her fur too, it gives her neck a break every once and a
While. You will almost never find even a single drop of
Fruit juice in her fur, for she just doesn't allow it. I
Have no trouble keeping her clean, Amber is who I have
to worry about.
Why do you wish to have him/her:I'm so in love, you cannot even comprehend my look of pure awe and joy when I saw this absolutely breathtaking and gorgeous rune, it broke my heart. I just couldn't get it in my head that she was really there, I couldn't believe such an adorable creature was before me. Her design fits with the warm and fuzzy feeling and colors of a peach perfectly, I couldn't imagine any design and color scheme better for a baby peach rune. The way I feel for little Sienna is nearly unfathomable.Where will you keep him/her: Oh my gosh, the question is where she won't go! I will have her in my signature, trade rules, everywhere in my gallery, she'll be the mascot of my art thread, maybe an RP, and definitely on the new Rune dragon website.Would you like to breed him/her in the future:I'm going to say yes, but she's so adorable, I'm not sure if I want to have her grow up. Story:This story is told from the point of view of Blair, my rune bearer (me). Characters involved are listed below (besides Sienna of course).Blair (bearer)Aphrodite (Affy)HrauniÃAmber
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.I suddenly felt a hard thumping on my chest, and I began to stir. One eye fluttered open, and I looked down my body for the source of the pounding. My little rune Amber was right there in front of me, jumping up and down. I laughed and lazily grabbed her, gently pulling her in closer to me. She made a small purring sound as I snuggled her into the crook of my neck, her favorite place. I laid there for a moment, just enjoying Amber's company, then I begun to stir. I pulled down the covers on my bed and slowly swung my feet around, dropping them onto the hard stone floor. I quickly jerked up my feet, retreating form the freezing floor. Amber hopped down and gently pushed my slippers under my feet, grinning at me happily. I had slept in my jeans because I had been up so late, so I just changed my shirt and put on my coat. I may have been inside, but my house was still as cold as 50 degrees on the inside. I grabbed a pack of poptarts from the counter and threw that and a bottle of syrup into my bag. I put on my boots and took a quick swig of orange juice before briskly leaving the house, Amber close on my tail. I whistled, and Hraunià quickly landed in front of me, followed closely by Aphrodite. I grinned and rubbed both of their heads, and they both purred with content. I threw HrauniÃ's black leather saddle up into his back, strapping it around his stomach snugly. He knelt down and I sat down on his back, setting into the front of the saddle. He stood back to his full height, which is about 6' 8''. Amber fluttered up and landed in my lap, snuggling close to me in the cold. I hugged HrauniÃ's neck tightly for takeoff, and he launched into the air, almost sending Amber flying off the back. Aphrodite lept up and joined us, flying closely next to us. Aphrodite is a SFY jewel mane dragon, which means she will "stay forever young"; it's like a PPS pet on chickensmoothie. Her and Hraunià fell madly in love when they were the same age, but when everyone found out Affy was SFY, they were torn apart without a goodbye. A couple of months ago, I found Hraunià as my true bond, and accepted him as one of my jewel mane dragons. Not to long ago, I also received Aphrodite. I didn't realize that they knew each other, so the reunion was very emotional for all of us. They haven't gone out of each other's sights since. The sad thing is, they will never be able to produce offspring. My favorite joint quote from them is:
"
We can never truly be together,But I will always love you."
We were headed for the market, for we were going to get fruit for the big Christmas meal. We landed on a small patch of grass near the produce stands and went to the same place as always. A look of disappointment spread across our faces as we realized none of the stands had any more fruit. Our shoulders sagged and our heads drooped in disappointment. I looked at the faces of my disappointed babies, and began to think hard of what I could do. Suddenly, the orchard just outside the town popped into my head. I excitedly turned Hraunià around and urged him to the sky, and he took my gesture willingly, knowing I had a plan. While we were flying, I told them all of my idea, and it excited them greatly, replenishing their hopes of a perfect Christmas meal. As soon as we saw the vibrant colors of the lemons, peaches, apples, and order fruits, we dove strait down to a gap in the canopy. As soon as we hit the ground, I eagerly dismounted and began to climb the closest tree, an apple tree. I got to one of the high branches with remarkable speed and started picking the best apples I could find. I threw them down to Affy and HrauniÃ, who gently caught them in their mouths and put them in my bag. I felt I had gotten enough, and quickly scaled back down the tree. "How about peaches now?" Amber bounced up and down in excitement then; peaches are her favorite fruit. I scaled the most beautiful peach tree I could find, surprised that they were still thriving despite the cold. This time, I just held them in my coat, not wanting to bruise them. I reached for a particularly large peach, and jerked back when it began to stir. I nearly fell off the branch in surprise, but I managed to catch my fingers on the bark of the trunk. The peach unfolded into a beautiful rune, brown in color with wings and accents of peachy pinks and yellows. It's eyes were a beautiful pink, shining brightly as they stared strait at me. I slowly reached out to her, and just as my hand reached her, she skimpered down my arm. What I saw suprized me quite a bit; she had four paws. She had no talons, but soft paw pads, and three tiny toes on each foot. She stopped on my shoulder, and I gently picked her up and cradled the small rune in my arms. "We'll hello there, I'm Blair. You're a little cutiepie, aren't you?" The little dragon gave me a wide grin and began making small cooing noises, snuggling in closer to my warm body. I unzipped my jacket, carefully tucking her into the inside pocket and pulling it back closed up to my neck. I wanted to surprise Amber now; she has always wanted another rune to play with. This time when we left, I urged Amber to ride Affy, and she suspiciously complied. We flew back to the house at a leisurely pace, knowing now we had accomplished our task. I decided on the way back that the little creature was a baby peach rune, but I was unsure and knew I would need to check the book of runes later.
When we arrived home, I quickly got off of Hraunià and ran inside, racing the others and telling them I had a surprise. When everyone got in, I turned my back and carefully opened up my jacket. I gently pulled out the dozing rune and rubbed her head until she woke. Her eyes fluttered open just as I turned around, revealing the little baby. They all began to make noises and motions of excitement and joy, the most happy of all being Amber. She lept onto my arm next to the rune, making small little chattering noises, the peach rune cooing in return. They all looked at me, and I knew just what try were asking. "I have decided to name her Sienna. It means reddish orange-brown, and I think it is a beautiful name for an absolutely beautiful little girl." Sienna chirped and purred in content and happiness when I spoke, she obviously liked the name I had choosen. I sat everyone down at the kitchen table, and began to cut up peaches for everyone. just as i was about to cut Sienna's peach, she jumped in front of the peach and gently nipped at my fingers. I jerked back in suprpize and looked as her inquisitively as she began to munch on the peach whole. I shrugged and giggled a little, sitting everyone down at the table to eat their little treats. Everyone loved the peaches, they were probably the best I have ever had, and i then realized that the tree Sienna was in, she has carefully tended to it, keeping it thriving through the winter. It truly was a Christmas miracle, for all I wanted was for Amber to get and friend and for me to give just one more rune a wonderful home; I don't think it could have been a more perfect little girl for us.

Sienna wrote:Okay, so you filled out the form and everything, can I say some stuff too?
Sweetypie wrote:Sure Sienna, knock yourself out.
Sienna wrote:Why would I do that?
Sweetypie wrote:What? Oh, it's just an expression, it means- oh never mind, just go ahead and type your blurb.
Sienna wrote:Yay! Alright, we'll according to Blair, my potential rune bearer, I'm about the weight and size of a peach, but hopefully I will grow to become bigger than I peach so that I can efficiently carry them. My zodiac is ♐ Sagittarius, and the animal of this zodiac is the centaur. I was born on November 26th, 2012, which means my birthstone is golden topaz, a gemstone that contains endless depths of unimaginable beauty. My favorite color is peachy pink, as you can see, because it's the color I'm typing in. My favorite game to play is tag, Amber and I can play for hours without tiring. I love tending to my fruits, it is my main passion. I also like painting and making jewelry, along with other various crafts, but those are just things I like to do in my free time with my friends and family. My favorite place is up in the canopy of the peach trees, where I can smell their sweetness and just barely feel the cool caress of the crisp winter air as it whisks it's way across my small body. Oh, and did I mention I'm very poetic? I thoroughly enjoy writing, I am never able to be satisfied with the amount of writing I have done. I love to write songs, stories, poems, and I will occasionally spurt out a spontaneous inspirational speech; I can write pretty much anything. Poems are my favorite, they often just flow out of my mouth, meant to replace my common speech. Now I should probably go a little more in depth with my likes and dislikes, because those are one of my very important aspects.
It may seem as if I don't like many things, but oh the contrary, I like a lot of things, I just want to talk about things I really like. I love to fly, it feels so good on my fur, and it makes me feel just a little careless sometimes. There are many foods I like to make with the fruits I grow, my very favorites being pie, candy, and ice cream. I will have my recipes listed down below of you want to make some delicious fruit treats like mine. Some days, when I want to relax, my favorite thing to do is just bask in the bright noonday sun. It feels so pleasant when the sun warms my fur, and it often relieves any tension in my muscles; that's important for my wings, I wouldn't want to cramp up while I'm flying. I also really enjoy arts and crafts, painting and making jewelry being my favorite of each. For the holidays as gifts, I like making dried fruit ornaments and giving them to people as pretty little fruit gifts. I love bubbles! You have probably already noticed by the drawing of me, but I just love to play with them, and sometimes in them. My favorite game is chess, and I also really enjoy other strategic board games. The problem is, chess is a two player game; thats why I'm lucky, I have Amber. Amber is my best friend, we're as close as two runes can be. We have very opposite personalities, but we work well together anyways.
Enough of my likes, how about some stuff I really dislike? Well first of all, obnoxious people with out manners really set my teeth on edge, they're like nails on a chalk board to me. I really don't like large crowds either, they normally contain obnoxious people. I also really dislike vegetables, they're just so icky. Who would want to eat something that has spent it's whole life sitting on or in the ground? I'm okay with fruits like watermelons that grow on the ground though, at least they're sweet. I also don't like rotting fruit, it disappoints me, making me feel as if I have failed at my one and only true passion. Alright, now you may think this next one is a little weird, but believe me, I don't get it either. I despise the smell of butterscotch. It is so random, and I don't understand what I don't like about it, I just can't stand it one little bit. A little more normal, I don't like to be alone. I'm okay if someone is near, like I can hear them moving or breathing, but I have to feel like I'm not alone, with someone I know, or else my brain starts to play tricks on me and I become paranoid with figments of my imagination that be those sounds and movements lurking in the shadows. This one's pretty easy to figure out, as Blair already talked about it, my fur always has to be pristine, no knots, tangles, or debris; nothing. I love the feeling of being clean, and I'm very self-conscious when I'm not. Another thig I'm self-conscious about is my body. I wouldn't be, but some runes and bearers give me weird looks; just because I have four legs and no talons. It upsets me that they don't like me for who I am, I'm just like any other rune out there. There is one last fear I have, and it may be my worst; I'm afraid of birds of prey. These are birds that eat meat, like owls, eagles, and falcons. That is the only death I fear, the thought of one day being carried of by a huge bird from my unsuspecting perch on top of a large peach tree. The good thing is, my colors act as camouflage, and I just look like any other peach.
Peach PieIngredients~2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
~1 teaspoon salt
~2 tablespoon granulated white sugar
~1 cup unsalted butter, chilled, and cut into 1 inch pieces
~¼ to ½ cup ice water
~Peach Filling:
~6 cups of fresh peaches
~¼ cup granulated white sugar
~3 tablespoons quick cooking tapioca
~2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
~⅛ teaspoon salt
~1 tablespoon unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
~1 tablespoon cream or milk
~Granulated white sugar
Directions Pie Crust: In a food processor, place the flour, salt, and sugar and process until combined. Add the butter and process until the mixture resembles coarse meal (about 15 seconds).
Pie Crust Video
Pour 1/4 cup (60 ml) ice water in a slow, steady stream, through the feed tube until the dough just holds together when pinched. If necessary, add more water. Do not process for more than 30 seconds.
Turn the dough onto your work surface and gather into a ball. Divide the dough in half, flattening each half into a disk, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for about one hour before using. This will chill the butter and relax the gluten in the flour.
Peach Filling: Meanwhile, dip the peaches into a large pot of boiling water for about 30 - 60 seconds, depending on the ripeness of each peach. Transfer the fruit to a large bowl of ice water (this stops the cooking process). The skins should now slip easily off the peaches. Cut the peaches in half, remove the stones, and cut the fruit into slices. Place the peach slices in a large bowl and toss with the sugar, tapioca, lemon juice, salt, and butter. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let stand, at room temperature, for about 30 minutes so the peaches have time to release their juices, the sugar can dissolve, and the tapioca becomes nice and plump.
After the dough has chilled sufficiently, remove one portion of the dough from the fridge and place it on a lightly floured surface. Roll the pastry into a 12 inch (30 cm) circle. (To prevent the pastry from sticking to the counter and to ensure uniform thickness, keep lifting up and turning the pastry a quarter turn as you roll (always roll from the center of the pastry outwards).) Fold the dough in half and gently transfer to a 9 inch (23 cm) pie pan. Brush off any excess flour and tuck the overhanging pastry under itself, crimping as desired. Refrigerate the pastry, covered with plastic wrap, while you roll out the second round of pastry.
Remove the second round of pastry from the refrigerator and roll it into a 12 inch (30 cm) circle. Transfer to a parchment lined baking sheet, cover with plastic wrap, and place in the refrigerator.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) and place the oven rack in the lower third of the oven.
Remove the pie crust from the refrigerator and gently pour the peach filling into the chilled pie crust. Moisten the edges of the pie shell with a little water and then place the top crust over the peaches. Tuck any excess pastry under the bottom crust and then crimp the edges using your fingers or a fork. Using a sharp knife, make 3 - 2-inch (5 cm) slits from the center of the pie out towards the edge of the pie to allow the steam to escape. Lightly brush the top crust with cream and sprinkle with a little granulated white sugar.
Bake the pie for about 45 - 60 minutes or until the crust is a deep golden brown color and the juices are bubbling and thick. If the edges of the pie are browning too much during baking, cover with a foil ring.
Place the baked pie on a wire rack to cool for an hour. Serve at room temperature with softly whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Leftovers can be stored for a couple of days at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
Peach Ice CreamIngredients~2 cups of Half-and-Half
~1 cup of whipping cream
~½ cup of sugar
~½ cup of peach preserves (not jelly)
~1 split and scraped vanilla bean
~Pinch of kosher salt
~4 medium peaches, halved, seeded and grilled or broiled until brown
DirectionsCombine all ingredients (including the bean and its pulp), except peaches, in a large saucepan and place over medium heat. Attach a frying or candy thermometer to inside of pan. (see note below) Stirring occasionally, bring the mixture to 170 degrees F. Remove from heat and strain into a lidded container. Cool mixture, then refrigerate mixture overnight to mellow flavors and texture.
Freeze mixture in ice cream freezer according to unit's instructions. The mixture will not freeze hard in the machine. Meanwhile, chop peaches roughly. Once the volume has increased by 1/2 and reached a soft serve consistency, add the peaches and continue turning to incorporate. Spoon the mixture back into a lidded container and harden in the freezer at least 1 hour before serving.
NOTE: If you do not have a thermometer, bring the mixture just barely to a simmer. As soon as you see a bubble on the surface, remove it from the heated area of the stove.
Peach-Flavored Hard CandyIngredients~1 cup of water
~¾ cup of corn syrup
~2 cups sugar
~3 teaspoons peach juice
~food coloring
~powdered sugar
~vegetable oil
~wooden spoon
~saucepan
~Candy thermometer
~cookie sheet
DirectionsMix the water, corn syrup and the 2 cups of sugar in a saucepan. Turn the burner to medium heat and slowly stir the mixture with a wooden spoon. Place the candy thermometer in the pan and heat until the temperature reaches 250 degrees F. When the temperature has reached 250 degrees F, add several drops of food coloring, the color of your choice, to the mixture. When the mixture reaches 300 degrees F, immediately take it off the heat. Stir the mixture thoroughly, and as the syrup stops boiling, slowly add the fruit juice of your choice. The more concentrated the fruit juice, the stronger the taste your candy will have. Stir the mixture thoroughly. Pour the mixture onto a cookie sheet greased with vegetable oil. Allow the pan to cool. When the pan has cooled completely, break the candy into bite-size pieces and pour powdered sugar on top to reduce stickiness. Eat immediately, and store the leftover candy in plastic bags.
