Why you chose this name:
Erebus was the name of the god of darkness in Egyptian mythology. He was the literal personification of the night, and this wolf's fur is like a map of the night sky.

The harsh light was all Earth knew.
Dry and parched from the sun's stifling heat.
The light was harsh, with no relief.

I brought forth darkness.

My paws skimming the blank canvas of sky,
I painted it midnight blue like my own pelt.
I dappled tiny glowing stars across the dark expanse.

The first night.
Cool and sweet, with the glow of the stars to light the way.

~I thought that night lock, and a creator of night would be perfect! I was going to use Nyx, but I was beat. :3 Night Lock is a beautiful name, and so is this design, they go together like Yin and Yang, Peanut Butter and Jelly!~

Not a single star glimmering.
I brushed my paw across the black, and threw a pinch of sparkle...
Blew my breath across the pile, and spread apart those stars.
Closed my eyes and howled, my soul creating the moon.
I declared this to be night, and joined chorus with the other wolves.

Why you chose this name:
I decided on these names because of their beauty and of their meaning. Leilah means "night" in Arabic and "night" or "dark Oriental beauty" in Hebrew; Nyx is a Greek name that means "night" and is also associated with the Goddess of the Night. I just thought that these fit her appearance well.

Art and/or poem and/or short story*:
He spoke the earth into life,
They created the sky and the soil,
She drew upon the darkness and light to create the night.

Ideas whispering through her mind,
She wove the energies around her,
To form the stars and the night.

Sprinkling the sky with her creation,
She painted pictures with hidden meanings,
On her pelt rest reflections of the night.

To counter the bright day,
She created a time for rest,
And so came the night.

While some would rejoice in this new creation,
She knew that others would loathe the darkness,
And so she imprinted the stars into the sky of the night.

Dark to light,
Light to dark,
Night to day and day to night.

An endless cyle,
Would travel through the sky,
Each and every day the day would turn to night.

When all was done,
She stood back and looked upon her work
Before she closed her eyes and slept on that first night.

Why you chose this name:
Honestly, I cannot even imagin a more perfect name for this amazing girl. After all, Isra means "nocturnal journey", derived from Arabic سرى (sara) "to travel at night". I think that this name suits her, for she is the traveler of this dark world, and it's creator. Granted, since Isra's beginning, she has been called many things. Nyx, Abital, Nisha and even Lilith, are all names that different cultures have associated her with. However, Isra and Nyx are her two personal favorites.
(She hates being called Lilith.... Lilth was a demon in ancient Assyrian myths - an evil spirt. Something Isra is certainly not!)

A little bit about her:
She was one of the first wolves to work with another wolf to strike a balance with another's powers. She brought forth the night, and another W.O.C created the day. They were the original Ying and Yang. Her abilities include listening and helping all nights creatures, and transitioning dusk into dawn (with a little help). I just love this girl, and would feel honored if I won the chance to be bonded with her.

The Tale of la Lune et les Étoiles:
Isra is brave, creative and soulful. She cares for every night creature that she brings forth into the world. However, after years of caring for her dark world, she began to feel alone. Morning creatures shunned her, and she was constantly despised for bringing the dusk. One particularly sad night, she lifted her head and let a heart wrenchingly lonely howl. This long grieving howl stirred the life she had created. The night wisps danced around her, and skipped about trying to comfort her. She was too deep into despair to feel their presence, and continued to wallow in depression. They felt her mourning and floated in the sky, watching over her, despairing. For several long Eves they waited for her sadness to let up, but her lonelyness only grew more profound with each passing night. One twilight, they sent tribute to her grief by flowing together in the sky, swirling togther in mass. Around and around they flew, faster and faster until they became one. Other sprites became the stars and painted the dark canvas with light. Born from Isra's despairity was la Lune ~ the Moon and les Étoiles ~ the Stars. Now and forever does the moon spin around Isra and the stars light up the night. Lune et ses Étoiles are friends for all, and are a constant reminder for Isra that she not only loves, but is loved as well.

The rain is a mysterious thing. It brings life to the earth, but it an also kill.
The rain is such a little thing, but can do great good or evil. It doesn't pick a side, it just does it's job, many jobs at that. The rain brings life to plants & animals, but it also can over flow & kill those whom it helps.
The rain can bring joy.
Some people love the rain, to see the lightning paint the sky, & hear the thunder witch is nature singing it's loudest.
For some the rain brings back good memories like kissing in the rain, playing in it when they were young, or even just watching it's beauty with fascination.
But some people hate the rain, seeing the lightning reach out to the ground trying to grab ahold of anything it can strike, &hearing the loud roar of the thunder that threatens to take away you're sleep at night & shake you with fear from it's rumble.
For some the rain brings back sad memories like a pasted loved one, a bad experience, fear, & even sadness to some. Some people get sad when it rains.
But the one thing that the rain is on our side about, is caressing your face & hiding your tears when they fall.
