Name: Bonded Chains {Bond}
Gender: stallion
Height: 17. 2 hh
Story:
Bond sighed, smoke escaping his nose. A light snow fall had begun, and the sky was a dark grey. It was almost midnight; it had almost been a year since he had done something he regretted the most.
Being Jealous....
If he hadn't been jealous years ago, he would of had his brother standing next to him. His eyes fell next to him, and almost like magic he could see his little brother standing there, his eyes meeting his own. Shivers crawled down his spine. He turned from the edge of the forest, and stopped looking over the colorful streets of the town. He walked back to his home, a large cave in the snowy swamp/forest, his giant hoofs leaving monstrous steps of regret to haunt him this night. Unlike most Kelpies, he enjoyed being in forests, and snow. So, he lived in a forest that had swamp in it that was close to a human village. He suddenly stopped in front of a giant oak, and looked at the engraved symbols on the tree. It was where his little brother had been buried; his own father had chosen the sight for his burial. Tears almost filled Bond's eyes as he remembered his brother, Geotermia.
Long ago, when Bond was just a foal his little brother Geotermia was born. Before his parents named him, Bond called him Geo all the time, after the word Geography meaning The Earth's ground. Bond had always believed Geo was one with the Earth. Butterflies always landed on his nose when he slept, and whenever Bond tried it, they flew away. Over the years, Geo became more loved by everyone, even though he didn't talk much, but when he did, he seemed so smart. Bond was almost a stallion at the time, and felt unloved, and became jealous of Geo.
Of course, what he didn't know was that Geo had always loved him, and only got his smarts from Bond. When Bond and Geo moved away, Geo still got loved by everyone. One day, though, Bond, Geo, and their parents went for a hike in the woods. Bond's father wanted to speak privately with Bond, while Geo and their mother walked ahead. While they were talking, Bond were so angry when his father kept babbling on about how proud he was of Bond teaching Geo to become a fan favorite, that his jealously blocked out everything he had said, except for this line, "I'm so proud of Geo...." But Bond didn't hear the part where he said "and you." When a bear attacked their mother, and Geo ahead, Bond, and their father were too far behind to really help. Trying to be like Bond, Geo fought the bear, but lost, and soon lost his grip, and fell. Too angry to really think, Bond watched as Geo fell to his death.
Bond shook the memory out his head, and then with his antlers scratched a heart into the tree. "Happy Birthday, Geo. Enjoy where you are..."
