Okay, this will seem weird, but I believe it was vampires and blood. The vampire influence would account for the lack of color, and the red is obviously the blood.....sorry.....this was a weird post... At any rate, there it is.

▪ What do you believe my inspiration was?*: I honestly think your inspiration was a mixture of the Oekaki, maybe a Zebra or a Wild Horse or Antelope from Africa since some have faint Zebra stripes on their legs and sometimes faintly on their back. I think a Cherry Blossom ties in with it somewhere, since the Whelkon has almost a faint pinkish glow on it's white body, not to mention the Pink Zebra stripes.
