Small Backstory involving him discovering his power:

Ignus had a dream, where he found himself in the middle of a fire. He was burning... wait.. he WASN'T burning! The flame was waving his hair in his face. It seemed more like a windstorm than a fire. Soon, he got curious, and walked into the fire. Amazingly, it split, and made room for him to walk. He was perplexed. "Strange.." he whispered. He soon realized he was lost.. inside the fire... and he wasn't waking up! He felt sad, and lost, and.. innocent... The flames seemed to get weaker. Ignus felt determined, and the flames grew stronger too. Soon Ignus was upset, and ran through the fire. The flames hissed and grew stronger, more violent. Ignus finally realized... He was controlling the fire! He wondered how to make it go out.. But he couldn't do that.. In his dream, he trained his powers... When he finally woke up.. His formerly dull markings were glowing. He smiled and jumped out of bed... But he still never learned how to make that fire go out...

He is also know as The Fire Master and Halloween.
I tried to stick with a fire theme, thus the name Ash.

Small Backstory involving him discovering his power:
It first happened when he was young. Ash was feeling sick for the first time. He had a terrible cold and was sneezing lots. After about a week, Ash got even sicker and did a HUGE sneeze. When he sneezed, he sneezed fire! He felt cold and rubbed his paws together, making them came alight. At this point, he realized he had a fire power.
After a couple of months, he had trained himself and knew how to control his power. Nowadays, he uses his fire to entertain others and to keep himself warm. Apparently, the reason he got sick before was because he got cold!
