Equid's name: Kirin
Short story: There is a voice that sits at the back of the head, one that whispers to go on, to go on and see just how far you can go with your skin still intact. The urge to jump. Of course for a mare like Kirin, it's deeper than that, the voice didn't just whisper to jump. The voice whispered for her to fall.

Equid's name: Fireheart
Short story: It was a nice, sunny day when I found Fireheart. I was walking in the forest with Ithildin, my other Equid, enjoying the peace and quiet. We stopped for a moment to watch and listen to the birds. We were watching a hummingbird flit to and fro when suddenly, out of the blue, a gorgeous red chestnut Equid mare came trotting gracefully from the shadows of the trees. She stopped beside the hummingbird, who alighted gently upon her head. The Equid snorted softly as the tiny bird hopped around on her head. A little sparrow flew by me to land on the mare's back. I stood there, watching and staring like one under a spell. Ithil and I stood there watching for several minutes, as bird after bird came and landed on the beautiful Equid. The mare was calm and quiet, gently flicking her ears back and forth to listen to the soft chirps of the birds. Suddenly Ithil, who I think was jealous of the silent attention I was giving to this new mare, snorted loudly. All the birds flew away quickly. The chestnut Equid looked at Ithil in bewilderment, then at me with curiousity. I was spellbound by her beauty. A red jewel, the heart of the green forest. Ithil snorted again and the mare turned and ran into the forest. The next day I returned around the same time, without Ithil, and saw the mare again. I came back every day, sometimes with Ithil, but mostly without her. Each day I gained more of the mare's trust. And one day, finally, she followed me home. I named her Fireheart because of her fiery color and because of what I had first thought of her, a red jewel, the heart of the green forest.

She is one of the most beautiful WMEs I have ever seen... *stares*

Equid's name: Danta
Short story: Her mother lived on a ranch filled with their kind. There was no shortage of males to mate with and easy ability to care for the young, but the day her mother realized she was pregnant, the mare was horrified. She did not wish to bring another foal into this world in which there were fences and borders that caged the wilderness from its habitat. The mare made a choice straight off, and she wandered far into the receeding areas of her boundries, breaking the usual habit of keeping with her mate, so that she could escape the knowledge of the humans.

It was here that she waited out the long six months, surviving on her own. She did not dare travel back to the feeding hollow, where human eyes were sure to notice her pregnancy. Instead, she kept herself from the populated areas and remained on the skirts of the fenced woods. It was here that Danta was born.

Danta was a strong foal and showed much promise. She picked up wild habits easily, and knew nothing of the humans. She questioned the fences that bound her inside the large grazing lands, but any time that she mentioned it to her mother, she was shushed and given and angry scrowl. She learned quickly to leave the topic dead.

After a time, she began to wander further and further away from the little home she and her mother had claimed. She could swear that on quiet days, she could make out the faint sound of others of her kind. A final day came when she left and did not return. Her mother waited out the day before she was sure of her daughter's fate.

As Danta walked into the clearing that most called the feeding hollow, she was struck with awe. Never before had she even known that others existed. She was excited and felt free, but was also infuriated to find that the fences continued around to cage them in. The humans had originally figured Danta's mother had fallen ill and passed, but upon seeing the the young mare, knew that her mother had survived. Now Danta escapes constantly, bringing great pride to her mother. She is sure that one day, she won't be caught again, and she'll be free to explore the world she was meant to be born into.

I can't see past my own nose,
I'm seeing everything in slo-mo
Look out below crashing down to the ground
just like a vertical locomotive
That's a train, am I painting the picture that's in my brain?
A train from the sky, locomotive, my motives are insane
My flow's not great, okay, I conversate with people
Who know if I flow on a song I'll get no radio play

While you're doing fine, there's some people and I

Who have a really tough time getting through this life

So excuse us while we S I N G to the S K Y.

Equid's name: Desert Rose (Rose for short)
Short story: The sun beat down on the sand, the light gleaming over the land. The young mare, her eyes bright, trotted over the steaming sand as if it were nothing, her hooves accustomed to the heat. Her coat looked like the sunset over the golden sand, and her deep green eyes like the trees surrounding the peaceful and rare oasis. She was alone, but she kept her head held high as she darted across the sand, her light hooves making soft indents. Suddenly, a hissing sound made way past her ear, and she froze, her tail fluffing with surprise.

A rattlesnake laid curled, poised to strike, his diamond shaped head flicking back and forth with poisoned fangs. Lifting onto her back legs, she whinnied a warning to the snake, bringing down her hooves hard on the sand, refusing to let herself be scared away. The snake recoiled, before striking forwards again, the mare leaping and darting around his head, seemingly dancing over the sand. All the while, a stallion, his dazzling sorrel coat, watched her with curious eyes, as she worked her way around the snake. And suddenly, in one swift movement, she brought her foot down on the snake's body, killing it. Lifting her head proudly, she noticed the stallion for the first time, tilting her head curiously. The sorrel made his way forwards slowly, whinnying a hello to the mare, as she peered hesitantly at him. After a long while of just staring at each other, the mare allowed herself to step forwards, greeting the stallion with a proud whinny. The pair have been friends ever since, and the mare took the name Desert Rose, the stallion taking the name of Rolling Thunder.

Equid's name:
Painted Sun (sunny or sunshine)
Short story:
Painted sun was named after her painted coated and unique color and patterns. Painted sun loved to wonder through the meadows in the early morning when the sun was just rising, the colors of the sunrise were so pretty all the pinks and oranges blending and reflecting off her beautiful white and deep orange coat. other equids sometimes got up just to watch her dance and run with the sun as it rose into the dark sky turning it a brilliant blue.

painted sun dreams of running on the sunrise, helping bring the sun from the other side, to be one with the beautiful star called our sun, to paint the sky with its brilliant colors, to bring the warm of the sun to all things living. but of coarse this is just a dream and hard to imagine ever happening.....She snapped out of her day dream, eyes blinking from the summer noon sunlight. She looked around and sighed. How she loved to dream of such wonderful things and wished they were true, but didn't everyone? She stood stretching her legs and curling her tail, ears perked for any other equids. As she moved, trotting on the open clearing, soaking up the suns rays as they danced upon her coat. She sighed, enjoying the truly peaceful moment. She sped up to a canter, waving her head around, overall letting loose in her fantasy, as she played. She was now galloping along as she crashed through a small creek.

"Hey im drinking here!" Sunny froze in her step and looked at the unknown stallion who was now also soaked from he splashes "i.. uh.. Sorry" she inquired looking at his golden brown coat and flashy quipping. "Well im Valentyne" He said looking upon her "i'm Painted Sun" She said shyly, hoping he hadnt seen her playing around earlier "but You can Call me Sunny" The Stallion Smiled and He and Painted sun continued to talk, well Valentyne did most of the talking that is making Sunny laugh and giggle as the sun set playing its rainbow upon her coat once again....

sorry i edited it so much i just had to make the story better and better :D
