Name:
Feàrn Rhizophora
But Call me Fern.

Meaning:
Swamp Tree - Mangrove
Basically I gave him this name to represent the two types of earth. You have the tree's of the swamp; which the stripes of his tail remind me of. The brown representing the loose soil of earth. Mangrove or Rhizophora; simply represents trees or shrubs that grow within swamps, and tropical regions.

Why I Want Him:
I've always watched Polar on CS; but never had a reason to really stay; you know? Well she showed me this JBD and I instantly wanted to try out for him. This would be my first adoption form; ever, If you believe it or not. I love the design due to his earthy look and colors. Needless to say he would also be my first JBD. Polar and I have big plans for him; and of course while I can't necessary draw; Polar can.
Don't let my low post count fool you; I'm a dedicated owner. I just haven't had a reason to post much on Chicken smoothie. He won't be neglected and I hope to join your community. I've also had dreams recently of a green and brown colored animal; he resembles it a lot so it meant a lot to me when I saw this design. A sort of calling if you will.

I don't think there are too many guys on CS so maybe this can change it a bit.
Note From Polar:
I've done the art, the coding; and the basic set up, and all the animations. Bazha has put forth all the detailing and direction of this though. Each is his brain child and I hope you look at it this way. I was just here to help along. The longest animation obviously was the one at top; taking me about 15 hours. I have worked none stop on the art in-between my work and taking care of the apartment. I had more planned but I can only do so much. Thank you everyone for supporting us. <3

Home:

Feàrn lives in the under growths of a swamp. Beneath a large Cypress tree; there is a tunnel that leads to his secluded home. Clear water fills the cavern ground around him; while leaving a large stone circle within the center. There he has his crafting table and many hobby items settled about his cave. A string of green Christmas lights; light his way in the dark of nights and give him just the needed light to work on his model kits.

The Bell:

Fern's mother was lucky and had given birth to two eggs. She loved and bathed them in adoration. When they hatched there was something different about the pair. They had hatched too early it seemed and both had odd health symptoms. His sister was born first and hatched blind to the world. Her silver eyes would never set upon her bother or mother and know their faces. When Feàrn hatched he was partially blind to the world. Though where his vision lacks his other senses make up for. He was given a bell to tie at the end of his tail. This way his sister could follow him; and his mother would not have to worry so much about the pair. Feàrn also used the bell to sharpen his other senses.

Time went buy and their family was happy; even though he never understood where their father had gone off to in the first place. Their mother never spoke about it. Feàrn never bothered to learn what became of him. Though one ill fated day a canine; a dog attacked their home. The vicious canine came after his mother and his sister and he ran. He ran as fast as he could out of fear. Leaving his family behind. Later he came back to realize his worse fear; they had perished in the fight. The dog; was not too far away dead from whatever drove it insane.

He was a young orphaned Dragon then; wandering about with no where to call a home of his own till he met another young dragon named Chai and her family. They took him in; adopted him as one of their own and Chai quickly become very found of her new younger brother. The two have been inseparable since. Chai has nick named him Fern; and often likes to do crafts with her brother. Fern on the other hand has grown up considerably since then but he still wears that bell at the end of his tail till this day as a reminder of what he lost to a canine.


Hobbies:
Feàrn loves to collect Model kits. He collects everything from Warhammer, to Gundam and many more. He plays video games in his relaxing hours and spends the rest painting his minatures or inventing at his craft table. He has a insane zest for information; and a drive to create; thus making him a little odd. He isn't much a physical Dragon and usually likes to think than do.
