How did he become blind in his one eye? It was several years ago, when he was just a foal. As he was quite the young adventurer, always straying from the herd to explore with his best friend (Kito), he was always getting into trouble, but he seemed to have a certain streak of luck that allowed him to escape with only a few cuts here and there. Until he decided to take it too far and challenged Kito to a race through a small patch of woodland on the mountainside. Building up speed, he easily overtook the younger equid, disappearing into the trees but he became very cocky and lost his concentration, losing him to lose sight of where he was headed. Tripping over his own hooves, he became caught in a barbed wire fence and froze up in fear. Luckily enough, the younger equid hadn't been so foolish and was quickly there to help get him out, but there was nothing that could be done for his eye.

How did he become blind in his one eye? "When I was young, I got into a bit of a fight with some of the other colts over who was the strongest. We were rather small, I being the smallest of the group. One of the other colts and I were nearing the point of fighting when one of his friends had noticed and stopped both of us, but not without nudging me enough to fall off of the ledge of the small hill we were on. I tripped and stumbled, and being the clumsy fool I was, managed to hit my head on a sharp branch from one of the trees that had fallen. I scratched up my eyelid and some of the twigs managed to scratch my cheek."

How did he become blind in his one eye? Desperaux was still only a foal when he first lost his vision. He was sleeping soundly in a small clearing, the forest surrounding him. He didn't realize when the birds had fallen silent, or when the sun had vanished behind the clouds. As darkness descended upon him and a silence ruptured through the forest, Desper awoke to two glowing eyes, staring out at him from the underbrush.
Frozen with ear, he shut his eyes, those glowing orbs burned into his mind. AS he waited, silently fearing the worse, something sharp brushed up against him. he yelped and opened his eyes, staring down at a porcupine the size of his hind leg. It glared at him and squeaked, flaring it's needles at him. He tried to lunge away, but the needles just kept coming closer, pinning him to the wall. As he cried desperately for his mother, knowing that danger lurked within those quills, the porcupine lunged at him. He whined with pain as the porcupine's quills lodged into his eyes, tearing up his iris and scarring him for life.
As he lay there, bleary with pain, he heard an angry whiny and a snort of rage. A male equid charged into the clearing, pounding it's hooves in a threatening manner towards the porcupine. As it waddled away as fast as it could, Desper got one last look at his savior before his vision vanished. He was a dark colored equid, probably only a few years older than him.

When he awoke, his vision was shortened to one eye, forcing him to adjust to living life. Since then, he's had a healthy fear of porcupines.

How did he become blind in his one eye? he was swimming one time and saw a fish, so he swam up and then accedentally kicked it so it flopped and then it's fine scratched him

How did he become blind in his one eye? Red Raven was a naughty, curious, and stubborn little colt. One day, he found a nest of baby foxes. He was young and didnt realize they could pose any threat. He showed his mother, who told him to stay away because he would be in big trouble if the mother fox found him with her kits. He didnt see any threat, and wanted to learn more about the little scraps of fur. One day, he had come back to the nest when a huge red thing came flying out of the bushes. It was the mother fox, and she was NOT pleased. She jumped up and scratched his side. Red Raven was frozen in shock and fear, and couldnt move. The mother fox came at him again, scratching and biting at his face. He ran away, terrified, his eye bleeding. He never could see out of that eye again. Needless to say, he payed attension to his mother's warnings after that. He is still ashamed of his foolishness, and whenever someone asks about his eye, he bluffs and says he fought off a mountain lion.

He was resting peacfully one night on his mountains, when suddenly the mountains broke out in flames, some nasty rotten humans lit it on fire. HE rescued all the creatures he could and became blind in his one eye from trying to save all those around him.
