Equid's name: Barlerey (or Barley, for short)
Tell me 2 rules about WMEs: Only one Wild Mountain Equid may be adopted per person per day (with a maximum of five per person), and you must ask for the owner of an equid's permission before you can use the image or design in any way.
Equid's Personality: [WIP] Barley is alone. His heart is begginning to catch a chill, and is soon to ice over completely. It would take an enormous lifestyle change to prevent this. Detatched from society, he dislikes allowing others to read him, his emotions and his thoughts, and he is nervous about becoming close to another, for fear that they might.. hurt him.
He wasn't always like this, however, experiences of the past had warped his personality, his trust, and emotions into what seemed, an irreversible state. Barley himself certainly believes this, but may think differently if he can understand just
why those events had occured, and what the meaning behind them was...
Equid's Story: [WIP] Cold morning. Slight breeze, moisture in the air. Rousing once again from an inconsistent sleep, Barlery assessed his surroundings with surgical precision. One herd, due west, medium large, about a mile away. His hearing was sharper than an eagle's vision, and possibly the only reason he had survived on his own in this harsh environment for as long as he had.
Uncurling his tail from around his body, he dragged himself to standing, and began to sniff around for a quick bite of shrubbery before moving on to the next area. He felt dull inside, as he wandered along the narrow mountain path, his head low, and swaying to his movement, his feet barely making it off the ground. Thinking again. His situation was the subject of his thoughts. He was almost subconsciously relaying over his potential plans, and not for the first time. Half heartedly trying to decipher the best option: 'find a herd, and settle down' or 'carry on with how things are'. He knew he would never change from the latter. He knew he would never really
live..
But then-
SNAP. It was a quiet sound, like a click, but it echoed all around the quiet mountainside. Something behind him rustled. He could feel it breathing, he could hear it moving. He was done for. Emotions had seeped into his thoughts, swallowed him up, and now he would bear the consequences. Spinning round in half a heartbeat, he frantically tried to identify the sound, but he couldn't find the source of the noise, his heart was beating in his ears, and he couldn't hear a thing. Barlerey stopped, accepting defeat, closed his weak eyelids, relaxed his body, cleared his mind, and prepared for the- 'Hi!'
..What? Lifting his eyelids, he turned his head slowly, and then walked round to face the beautiful young mare before him, a rich brown coat, with luscious deep brown brindle and a white star and snip on her face. He stared into her mesmerising crystal blue eyes, becoming lost in their intricate delicacy. 'Hi?' she repeated.
'Ahem,' clearing his throat, he replied with 'hello.'
'Hi! What's your name?'
'Um, Barlerey.' He said, trying to sound uninterested.
'Nice, I'm Tigress' And she trotted off.
Intrigued, Barlerey followed her. He almost shouted for her to wait, but thought better. Sneaking around a corner, hidden by a large bush, a small group of equids is what he found, consisting of... [More to come!]
How many brindless equids exist?: Five, if this boy is included.
