"Oh hey!" Pip greets you excitedly.
"Check this out! When I woke up this morning, this Advent Kalondar was just sitting here on the mantle! I wonder who put it here?"
The calendar sits there with brightly colored doors, each one different from the last.
Pip gives it a very gentle shake. There are definitely things hidden behind the doors. Should you open them?
It seems quite a waste not to...

Maybe something magical will happen?

tell me about a personal holiday tradition: every Christmas Eve we have a special family tradition! We do appetizer night where we make a bunch of everyone’s favorite appetizers (and a shrimp ring? I was obsessed with eating shrimp as a kid apparently?). Then we opened one present: Christmas PJs! Afterwards we’d all gather in the living room and watch a Christmas movie. Despite being the middle child, I somehow always ended up being the family member to have to lay on the ground, but at least I had the dogs to snuggle up with!

tell me about a personal holiday tradition: My family go and visit our relatives who live in a small country town out west almost every year on or around the Christmas period and we've done this basically for as long as I remember but its been sad to see over the years, especially after covid, that the small country town I call home is getting visited less and less. It was a place travellers stopped in for a rest on their way down to places like Melbourne and it was always fun to drive down the main street and count how many 'out of towners' there were (down the main street you park rear to curb, tourists always parked hood to curb)
