recipe: my mom takes blueberries and spreads them about 1 inch thick on the bottom of a regular-sized baking pan, then sprinkles 1/2 a bag of yellow cake mix on top of it and puts it in the oven to bake until the top is crispy. it's a super easy, low-stress recipe for making a blueberry cobbler! my house doesn't usually bake the main dishes for our family Christmas meal-- my mom provides dessert, which is usually blueberry cobbler. the yellow cake mix acts as a sweetened crisp that has some of the fun squishy qualities of cake. to be honest, I haven't the faintest clue how she does this sorcery-- and I'm pretty sure there's an ingredient she isn't telling me, but that's one of the things my family makes for Christmas! I love my mom's quick-n-easy recipes, primarily because of how proud of herself she is when she makes them and people enjoy them! as a working mom she doesn't have a ton of time to do things like cooking and baking, even around the holidays, but she makes it work!

recipe: i don't exclusively use it for the Christmas period, but without a doubt i've made it every holidays for 5 years.

spinach and "cheese" cob loaf
ingredients
- 1 onion, fine diced
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 250g frozen spinach
- 1 1/2 cup raw cashews, soaked 2-3 hours in water
- 1 tbp onion powder
- 1 tbp garlic powder
- 1 tbp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- salt and pepper
- 1/3 cup nutritional yeast
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 1 cob loaf

method
1. soak cashews in water for 2-3 hours and thaw frozen spinach.
2. pre-heat oven to 180 degrees celsius. prepare the cob loaf by cutting a circle on top with a serrated knife and removing the inside, leaving 3-4 cm crust on all sides. place on lined baking tray.
3, dice brown onion and mince cloves of garlic, then cook them in a pan until fragrant and soft. add in thawed spinach and combine. take off heat and let the mixture cool.
4. drain and rinse cashews, adding them to a blender along with the spices. blend until creamy and smooth. this makes the "cheese".
5. combine the cashew cheese with spinach mixture, ensuring everything is covered. spoon mixture into cob loaf.
6. bake for 20 minutes or until crust is golden and crunchy
7. whilst loaf is baking, dice the rest of the bread into squares, place them on a separate lined tray and drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper. add to oven in the last 10 minutes.

recipe: Cookie Dough Bombs! I've been making these ever since I found the recipe for it in 2019! It's basically cookie dough that's safe to eat xD The ingredients are pretty loose! You can typically add / subtract certain portions to suit your tastes without messing up the recipe.
Ingredients

- 1 Stick Of Butter
- 3/4c Brown Sugar
- 1/4c White Sugar
- 1/2tsp Salt
- 2tsp Milk
- 1/2tsp (Or more) Vanilla extract
- 2c Flour (Almond or all purpose)
- Vanilla or Chocolate Chips >:)

Directions

- Beat the butter.
- Add the sugar, salt, milk, and vanilla.
- Mix until combined.
- Add Flour and mix completely.
- Place chips on top or mix them into the batter.
- Store in fridge for 30 Minutes+ (The longer the better)
- Enjoy with an ice-cream scoop :)

Mercius isn't the biggest fan of snow, it makes business slow! Alucard hates snow, he much rather prefers Fall weather and storms. Aldus prefers the spring and summer-time, when it's perfect to collect mushrooms, so not a fan of snow.
