Boronite is a type of sulfide mineral, also known as Peacock Ore! It's one of my favorite rocks (I have a chunk in my rock collection!!) because they just look. So cool.

Name Reason?: when i first saw this beauty zephyrus was the name that first popped to mind. zephyrus is the greek god of spring and the west wind. this may be farfetched but stay with me here! the body of this lambicorn made me think of a cave, and zephyrus was thought to live in a cave. he is also the god of springtime, which is full of new life and colors, the colors being found in this lambies wings, eyes, and horns. finally, zephryus brought psyche to her monster husband, and even though the west wind himself was neither the monster or husband, the tail and ears make me think of the monster part in psyche's story.

I feel it's a name that gets to the heart of a gargoyle's purpose (... well, besides 'making sure rainwater doesn't flood the cathedral roof' but I digress), and the general vibe this guy gives off! A silent watcher, making sure everyone within his domain is safe and protected as they rest; something who's terrifying only to keep true dangers intimidated and at a distance.
