History:
Once, he was in love; but it had a price. The two were forbidden lovers (how cheesy), but their luck ran out when his lover's master discovered their secret. The master was a powerful warlock, and cursed the two of them to an eternal pain. They were no longer able to see each other, for one guarded the day, and the other guarded the night. The warlock was careful to make each guard many opposites; day and night, life and death, light and darkness, pure and evil. All was lost for the Kalon-- or was it?
Personality:
Level 1:
- Calm, silent, solitary, rough, rational. Xepheus is quite the independent guy, like that one guy that always seems to be in stories and movies. The one wearing the dark clothing, hair draped over his face, leaning nonchalantly against a tree. He doesn't like to engage in conversations, but when approached he will respond and can even keep up. It's rare to see him aggravated or angered, and he constantly acts as if he's devoid of all emotion. It is true that it's quite difficult to make him upset or angry, and even more so difficult to get him to show it. Xepheus is also quite rational in his attitude and actions, as he will take careful consideration when acting or speaking out. This makes him someone that people often respect, especially when he contributes to a conversation or an idea. After all, he must really feel it important for him to participate enough to contribute.
Level 2:
- Passionate, gentle, loyal, thoughtful. Once you get to know him a bit better, Xepheus will begin to warm up to you, and eventually talk to you more often. His lack of socialization previously is mostly due to him being unsure how to express himself to you, rather than dislike towards socializing. He reveals himself to be quite gentle and caring, which is a contrast to his tough exterior. In addition, he also is a lot more passionate and thoughtful than you'd first realize. It's not uncommon to find him accompanying his close friends wherever they are going. At this point, he is still not really one for too much conversation, although it's much more apparent that he enjoys others' company, even if he is not interacting with them too much. Xepheus also might occasionally surprise you with a little gift or trinket, as that is one way that he shows his affections. They are usually something small and simple, such as a flower or glass figurine, but they are often carefully selected by this quiet man.
Level 3:
- Conflicted, pained, unsure, self-loathing. Xepheus is a train wreck of emotions under his exterior layers. It's quite rare for anyone to get close enough for Xepheus to show his true self. Here, he is quite conflicted with his emotions as when there's something he doesn't understand about himself, he has the habit of shoving it underneath to deal with later, but of course, he never sorts through it. It can be quite a hassle to try and understand him to this level of complexity, and who knows what will lie in the center of that tangled web of emotions? All that is known is that he's quite emotionally pained, and has a secret hatred for himself underneath that web of external layers.
Level 4: ERROR 404; DATA NOT FOUND.
Design Notes:
- His shines are a very dark red, and are little circular-like shapes on the connecting points of his tail. If drawing his stub-tail mode, just draw a rough circular shape with dark red!
- During moments where he is extremely angered or hungry, his eyes will change into his "beast mode".
