Everyone understands that while going to camp at some point
they will ask you to write a letter back home. And most people
will write to their closest family member or whoever told them
it would be a good idea to go to camp. So, while I sit here and
write this, I should be writing to my girlfriend. But here I am
writing to my parents… I just hope the counselors don’t double
check the addresses on the envelopes. But here goes –

Dear Mom and Dad,

I realize that is has been awhile since we last spoke, and I feel
like I need to begin this letter with an I miss you. Because I do.
I miss you both oh so much, and I can’t believe it’s been years
since I last got to see you or even speak with you. I do want you
to know that I am enjoying my time here at camp. I’m loving all
the people I’ve met and even all the ridiculous activities. I came
to camp believing that it would be stupid and pointless, but I
have loved every minute of it. It has been a truly magical
experience. However, I am glad that everyone has been nice and
tried to make this an enjoyable experience. Please remind me
when I get home to thank my girlfriend for encouraging this
little escapade.

I just can’t get over how much I miss you guys… And I can’t
wait until I can see you guys again, but you know I’ve never
been very good at talking about my experiences or even
about myself, so I’m just going to leave it at that. I love camp,
and I love you both. Can’t wait to see you guys again.

Leaving the letter short and sweet always seemed to be my go-to.
But I still couldn’t get over the paranoia that the counselors would
check the addresses to these letters… Even though it’s been years,
and you would think by now that I’d be over it, but I would never
be able to explain why I chose to send my letter home to the cemetery.

to just be able to run Kalons
alone. (and to Wicced!Witch for all her
assistance) I realize that is has to be a
lot of stress on you both, but you are
doing a fine job.

@Nektar I must also give you props
on runningyour booth during this
event in a timely fashion and your kindness
towards those who seek you out in
conversation.

@eukyung. I love what you have
done with your booth so far, and I quite
enjoy getting to participate every
single day.

@high noon I love your dedication
to Kalons, and I appreciate
everything that you do. Plus the
intricacy of your designs, never
cease to amaze me, and I
hope one day to be able
to say I own one of my own.

@Kyar I would just love to
point out how awesome you do
at managing everything. Even
though you seem to always have
so much on your plate, you
never seem to let anyone down,

Hey mom.... Hey dad... Hey auntie... I am writing this letter to inform you of my camp adventures.

So.... Camp has been.. how do I say it? "Fun". The most fun i've had in awhile anyway. I have met the other campers. Each camper I have seen so far has been pretty excited. Usually I would put a "smile" on my face and pretend to have fun. Sometimes, I do. My favorite activity so far has been the rock climbing. Archery is also nice. Both help bring out something in me I haven't really seen before. Sometimes, when activities aren't being held, we head to the mess hall to have something to eat. Pileus cooks for us. I don't exactly like his attitude, but I feel something similar. Although working for the s'mores wasn't fun, it was rewarding in the end. I decided to try bug catching, but I didn't really enjoy it much. Almost tripped. I do have to say, the counselor and co-counselor seemed friendly. During archery, I almost shot someone! Guess I got too carried away. Enough about me. How are you dad? I'm starting to miss you and those hunting lessons you gave me every weekend. Mom. I miss those herbal teas you would give me. You always made my favorite, peppermint tea. We would head out in the yard, and when you found peppermint leaves, you would say "Thyme, look! Peppermint! Come on in for the tea!". Dad would always get the honey from the beehives, and get stung every time. I know i know, I haven't been gone for that long. It just feels like that. Sweet, sweet auntie. You are my favorite family member (sorry mom and dad >.<). You were with me through the tough times. You were always there when mom and dad wasn't. You would listen to me, and always knew my problems. Get ready, when I get home, I have more. Ugh, i'm just rambling now. I guess i'll end the letter here, otherwise I might need more paper, and this is already long. Mom, dad, I will apologize when I get home. You know why. All in all, kamp camp is sorta fun. I'll see you when I get home.

Being in charge of a species can be pretty tough. There are many things to be taken care of, and you have to be sure things run smoothly. Luckily, you have Wicced!Witch there to help. Just know, that the entire community is there for you. When the going gets tough, we are here!

You have made some of my favorite kalon designs! I actually remember 2 kalons you designed, which were pokemon kalons. As a massive pokemon lover, might I just say... they were amazing! And, the most recent one you've made was amazing as well!

Just like Schnuffel Bunny, you have made designs that I love as well! One of the kalons you have made, which was this one https://www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=3791646 is actually one of my favorites! You have also made the campfire event for the Kalon summer event, and it seems like it took a lot of writing, but it was worth it! We enjoyed it!

“My dearest Polaris,
It’s been a few months since we last saw each other face to face and i cannot await the day we see eachother again. I feel as everyday passes a new story is born, ones more exciting than the others and i cannot await to hear your stories of your travels. You do a wonderful thing performing for the kids, i’ve seen it myself. The smile you put on their faces are a true wonder to behold.

While i’m currently at kamp and can not send this letter to you until it’s over, i’d happy to let you know i’ve picked many four leaf clovers to seal into bottles and keep them fresh just for you. One of the other kalons told me that the kamp clovers are special and hold a sort of magic to them, i hope it’s true then your bad luck won’t weigh you down as much! I’ve at least found four or five in total, one day i got really lucky and found two of them in the same patch! I’ve been carrying them around everywhere i go and it just seems luck falls in my paws. I’ve won a few contests here and it’s kept me occupied these past few weeks. I can’t wait to return home and bring back all these crazy cool crafts i’ve made! I even drew you a little picture, it’s not that good but it’s the sentiment right?

I’m starting to ramble, even in my writing. I just really really really really can’t wait until your home!!! I miss hanging out with you and watching you try out new little magic tricks, i hope you're having fun wherever you are.

He’s super chill and down to earth when you talk w/him, and makes some extra shiny kits. I love how edgy,, his kalons are,, like look at these beauties i love them all. heya sis!
im,, surprisingly, having a great time here! I know I was reluctant to go, but even though I hate to say it, mom and dad were right to send me anyway. everynight we gather around the campfire and sing, and for a few short hours, everyone forgets all the problems of yesterday and the pain of today to just, sing and eat marshmallows and, and honestly, to just enjoy life! living, breathing, along with all of these great kalons! seriously, i've never ever ever met a friendlier bunch! and you would be so proud, sis, I actually made a few friends! I guess my favorite thing about this camp is sleeping under the stars. there's nothing more peaceful than watching the beautiful night sky and listening to owls as you drift off, free of worry. and grief. love, krissy
