The cries of the souls weeped as she continued on her path through the mist.

Barb wandered the forest, her tail flicking wildly. She crouched the breeze ruffling her fur. She calmly breathed as she watched her prey sit in the grass. Barb leaped through the air, the so-called prey turned around with wide eyes. She had pounced on them, the grass ruffling in the breeze.
"What the heck Barbara? Why'd you do that?" Cocoa laughed-Barb was glad her friends were with her as they explored. He didn't speak too much, but Jackson was there as well. Jackson laughed as they wandered through the forest, the light shining through the treetops.

Later, once Barbara and her friends had reached their destination-the lake said to be haunted by the souls of those who lost their lives in the forest. Although Barb didn’t believe such a tall tail, but Jackson and Cocoa weren’t too sure.
“C’mon guys hurry up!” Barb ran towards the seemingly glowing blue lake, it had fog rising over the top.
“Barb I’m not too sure about this. The locals didn’t warn us about this to make fun of us. Everyone in town seemed super serious about this.”
"You guys don't know that, who knows?" Barb laughed
"Well we certainly don't" Jackson muttered.
"Ha. Ha." Barbara was trying to sound so sarcastic it was ridiculous.
As she wandered closer to the water she seemed to hear a noise, a crying noise. Someone weeping.
"Hey do you guys hear that?" Barb turned around to look at her friends, noticing their concern
"What do you mean?" Cocoa asked
"That crying sound. Someone is crying." Barb continued to walk closer to the lake, the mist soon surrounding the lake completely, like something from a horror movie. She reached the lake and gazed into the water and gasped.
"What? What's wrong Barb?" Cocoa asked creeping closer.
"There's- There's crying kalons in the water. Like a reflection but real."
Suddenly,
the world went black, touchless paws grabbing her.

The weeps and the cries of the lost and fallen souls echoed as she wandered through the mist,
“Hello?” She called into the omnious,
“Hellooooo!”
Suddenly, she felt the presence of another behind her.
A dark presence, but a kind one at that.
The skeleton-like creature lifted his long staff, banged it on the ground, and she was teleported on a path that never ended.
Doors to rooms that were locked, no keys to be found. She looked beneath her and saw nothing but— nothing.
She looked behind her and saw souls slowly fading as they seemed to follow her. She walked, and walked, until she noticed a bright golden glow behind her, a floating key lit up around the deceased kalons neck.
“Whatever does this mean?”
She grab hold of the key and put it in the door beside her, the door lit up and opened to a beautiful dream-like landscape, one where a soul could rest for an eternal slumber.

That’s when Barb’s tail had become not one, but two.
She had found her purpose.

I so sorry for all the questions but, if a tail is split into two, like a bakeneko, is that a dual tail edit or a natural mutation?
