Texas Cattle Horses are a very popular breed amongst ranchers and western riders. They are known to have a perfect temperament for herding cattle, as well as great stamina and average speed. They are preferred for western riding and are perfectly fit for ranch work and trail riding, though some english riders recently started to be interested in this breed.
The Texas Cattle Horse's height range is 14-16hh, with an average weight of 1000 lbs. They have a lot of ancestry in common with Missouri Fox Trotters and share their sturdy and graceful build.

Here is where you can order breedings!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxGeneral Breedings Rules
- Follow CS rules and TCH rules
- Artists may decline any orders.
- Payment must be sent before the artist starts working on the foal (if payment is required).
- Users may not order more than two free breedings per month. Paid breedings are unlimited.
- Artists may make unlimited common-uncommon personal breedings per month, and one rare+ personal breeding per month. Rolls proof must be sent in the discord server for any rare+ genes.
- Any breedings paid in irl currencies must be discussed offsite (CS rules).
- Foals may grow a week after being posted, or be auto-grown - this is up to the artist.
- Please be patient. If an artist takes more than one month to make a breeding and/or growth, you may remind them once but do not harass anyone.Horse Breedings Rules
- Horses have 5 breeding slots each by default - Texas is the only exception. Slots will be able to be increased once competitions will be all set up!
- Breedings between two overos are forbidden (LWO).
- Horses must have up-to-date breeding slots on their storage page to breed.
- You may order up to 1 breeding using a slot from Texas per month. Texas's slots are tracked here.
- Some non-genetic traits ("peacock" appaloosa, dun frosting etc...) pass at artist's discretion. Horses with rare+ traits may only produce rare+ foals via artist's choice once every 2 months (to prevent from having too many rare+ horses born at the same time out of the same parents). Horses with non-genetic rare+ traits may have multiple offsprings in a short period of time, but only one foal may inherit it.
- If none of the parents has a somatic mutation, roll chance is 5%. If at least one of the parents has a somatic mutation (mismarked and bloody shoulder count as somatic), roll chance is 10%.
- PATN2 "gene" is used at artist's discretion, as it is not a real gene. More info on that here. If PATN2 is not in the genotype/if PATN2 is not used by the artist, blanket appaloosa & snowcap appaloosa pass at artist's discretion.
- Chance for twins is 10% (will make twin lines when i have the time!!), chimera has a 5% chance of occurring if twins are rolled for.
- For the artists: same sex breedings are up to you, you can either accept them or go for realistic mareXstallion breedings. Same goes for choosing eye color, gender etc, i personally let people choose if they want, but you're free to always roll these instead!
