A group of Icelandic mares and stallions were imported from Iceland to The Rocky Mountains where they continued to breed and form herds, hence creating the Rocky Mountain Icelandics. Rocky Mountain Icelandics range from 13hh to 14.2hh, mares can breed up to 10 times, while stallions can breed unlimited times. RMI's create herds with multiple stallions and mares. Each owned RMI will have a bridle and neck rope to show they are owned. There is a more mare then stallion ratio, RMI's can not breed with any distinctive relative.
